Comfort and care from the hosts

We were in Ghent just passing through, so we were looking for a hotel close to bus and train stops. And it really was nearby — we found it very quickly. Many thanks to the hosts for arranging to leave us the key, as we arrived quite late. The room exceeded all expectations: it was spacious, with a relaxation area and a small table where we could enjoy a cup of tea after the journey. I really love tea, so having a kettle in the room was a big plus for me. The breakfast was very good — a great way to start the day. We really enjoyed our stay and even regretted that we were there for only one night.

All in all, we had a good experience at the hotel.

The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, and the location was convenient — you can reach the city center easily by tram or with a 20–30 minute walk.

The only downside was the noise from the nearby train station; as a light sleeper, I woke up 2-3 times when the trains passed. Also as someone who enjoys drinking coffee and tea, I also missed having a coffee maker or kettle in the room.

Bumpy, uncomfortable bed. A general feeling of being cooped up. This is a budget hotel, albeit not that cheap at all. A labyrinth of corridors and stairs. Worn out place, not clean enough.

Location

The management staff were abrupt on check in and rude regarding car parking. We chose the property as it was advertised to have private parking onsite, however it appeared staff/family were parking in those spaces.

Pleasant weekend in Ghent

It was simple very well organised family hotel, with very kind and friendly staff. I was staying in small single room with comfortable bathroom attached, there was a bathtub. The towels were white as snow, very soft and fluffy. Bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. Room has one small table and chairs. TV, wifi all is provided. The hosts were very friendly letting me check in early to give me more time for the sightseeing. They provided city map and printed guide. I was also allowed to leave my luggage in the hotel until my departure time. I really appreciated the kindness. Property is very near to the train station which makes it so easy to travel and visit the city.

Travelled a lot in Europe this was pretty ordinary get your earplugs and a mug!

Location

Bed was like cardboard. Pillows were lumpy and square, room smelt, given a kettle and sachet of coffee. No mug. Nothing really in room as in a mug, coffee/tea basics. Noisy. Terrible sleeps. Grumpy reception. Cheer up!!

The hotel is in a great location by gent sint pieters,(leave by platform 12, turn left!) just a few minutes walk, helpful friendly staff, clean and comfortable Breakfast is provided as well as room service but I would suggest some tea/coffee making facilities in the room

The rooms were very comfortable, had ample ventilation and the bathtub was a highlight! Location was perfect for those taking a train. The hotel is run by a very sweet family who were very helpful! Total, 5/5!
