The location is perfect for a stay in Ghent. The hotel is conveniently situated 5 mins from the main train station, down a quiet road. With a a couple of shops near by. Outside the train station is also bus & tram stops which also take you straight into the centre, only 7mins. Alternatively we found it a nice 15 20min walk along the shops into the centre. Very nice shopping in Ghent & Bruge too! The hotel is smaller, very friendly helpful staff and the breakfast offers Organic, fresh produce, with help yourself & freshly cooked breakfast options too! The rooms are large, heating if required, air con and decent tv with streaming Netflix. The rooms was a nice big size, decent large windows that open, perfect in summer and yet quiet! I am aware of noise and felt here was lovely. I did wear good gel type ear plugs too but felt very relaxed and a good sleep in the room. Also have a full size mirror! The hotel staff are also very welcoming and helpful for enquires. We loved Ghent it is a beautiful place and perfect for the Christmas markets. Not too busy and we visited Dec 13-17. A visit to Bruge early evening in Dec is perfect as the night sky draws in, the lights and cobbled streets become an array of cosy Christmas fairy tale. The trains are regular, clean and smooth. 5 mins walk from train to Bruge centre and shopping wow! Very picturesque and Ghent is bigger and just a pretty. As some one who has travelled alone I would also stay here as a solo traveler. Quite safe to walk to and from the hotel into the centre.
We found walking easy. Turn right out of hotel, right again up a slight hill, past shops and food places, a slight left walk about 10 mins to traffic lights (you will see more people heading the same direction towards to the centre) then head right, nice walk past the shops towards the canals & historic centre.

Comfortable, quiet, clean, very well located hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were a triple and room was quite spacious.
The restaurant was only for breakfast and the bar wasn’t really a bar - it was very tiny and located at reception.

Excellent little boutique hotel that is a great value for the money. It's located one street away from the Sint Pieters train station with restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. They have a small parking garage on site for €20 a night so we left our car here all week and took the very inexpensive train all around Belgium. The staff is absolutely outstanding and the breakfast is delicious. The rooms are huge and there was even a small fridge. The bathroom is extra tiny with nowhere to put things but not worth even mentioning in the negative section because it just didn't matter with everything else being so good at this hotel.

As I got in to the hotel , there was 3 butiful lady in the reception. ( probably some one was on training) thay all stodup when a asked the first question. I never seen such a respect full person in for a ages . Every thing was far better than what I expected. Hotel , breakfast , room and cleanliness.
In the morning when I was leaving, I passed many times to manage all 6 family stuff to my car. In 30 minutes the reception was disgusting Arabic with his boyfriend over the phone on loud speaker . She didn't border to look up . It was so roud .

The staff that greeted us was so pleasant and welcoming. He helped us figure out the street parking and ensured we knew the rules to avoid a ticket. The room was a really good size and comfortable. It was walking distance to a beautiful park.
We knew we chose a hotel out of the city core and it was about a 25 minute walk to the castle (one landmark to gauge the distance). We walked through the park and along the canals which was lovely.

The location was PEFECT. We traveled by train, and it was such a short walk with all our luggage. Then it was also perfect for visiting the main attractions either with the tram or on foot. The breakfast was truly fantastic and so well presented and fresh. The room was so spacious it felt like we were in heaven.

Everything is great. If want to be close to train station this is def the place to stay.
Only issue is it might be better to stay in the city instead of close to the train station.

A charming boutique hotel with friendly, helpful staff who were ready to help with storing our luggage and taking it to our room whilst we saw the city, recommending a pleasant walk into town, and dining location.

Room is very spacious, clean and well equipped. It is very functional. Breakfast is good, lots of choices. There are free fresh water , not tap water, availaber everyday from the front desk. However the breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday starts too late at 8.00am. Staff is very helpful.
