Perfect property for location into Gent

Large open space room, ideal location for Gent. Few minutes walk to centre. Owner was very friendly and chatty. Whole house was decorated to a high standard and very well looked after. Loved the 2 balconies to view out onto the street. Only thing I'd mention is the stairs, ok for us, but if people have difficulties walking, not ideal. No lift.

Coffee machine was out in the hall, no fridge in the room. Bed wasn't that comfortable. Breakfast basic, but ok 👍

I was not able to fully meet the request to go shoeless, because of a medical condition that requires constant arch support. I did remove my boots as requested and wiped off the soles of the sandals I wore indoors.

Excellent location, close to all attractions

Stayed in the Japanese room and it was small. Translucent doors in shower area and toilet area did not help.

The host was very nice and it's a very nice building close to the center. The room was spacious and well decorated.

I was disappointed to learn that we were not allowed to wear our shoes past the entryway. I would have liked to know that in advance and would have considered staying elsewhere. I have plantar fasciitis and walking barefoot is painful. It would have been nice to have more hooks for coats, scarves, towels, etc.

A wonderful restful 10 day stay in a welcoming and magnificent house in Ghent City

The room was very spacious and clean, nicely furnished (lounge area, king size bed, nice bathroom etc), breakfast is included and the host ensures you have all what you need (fresh croissants, breads, a changing variety of cheeses and charcuterie, fresh fruit, coffee and thee cart etc....), and you can't get a better location smack in the center of the city -- if you wish public transport is easily accessible and there are 2 parking garages close by where you can park your car if you arrive by car.

There is nothing to report here. I had a most wonderful stay. My room was at the front of the building and some people may have issues with traffic, however you can close the window and the noise is reduced to a minimum. (I had my window open at all times and all was perfectly fine.)

Poor

The hostess was not at all helpful. For the 4 days of stay the room was cleaned only once. The service was awful-they offered only a tiny shower gel for two people. The breakfast was very poor. Too expensive for what it offers. In conclusion they charged us without asking the card we had used for deposit. I do not recommend it!

The room was lovely. The fireplace was great and the bed very large. It was very comfortable.

There was no bottled water offered in the room which for the price I paid there should have been. It would have been nice to have been offered a room with a bath tub but the room was beautiful.

Gorgeous, romantic small hotel offering small amenities. Every room has its own design and comes with a modern light system. I really enjoyed the big bathtube in the middle of the room. I highly recommend.

Voldeed in alle opzichten aan onze verwachtingen!

Het mooie gebouw heeft een stijlvol interieur. Beneden o.a. in de ontbijtruimte zijn heel hoge plafonds en ramen, een marmeren schouw en mooie details, het trappenhuis is schitterend, onze (Japanse) kamer sfeervol en de bedden zijn uitstekend en royaal. Plus een uitstekende ligging en aardige gastvrouw!

2 Nachten was te kort om erachter te komen welk knopje precies voor welke lichtbron of rolluik diende.
