Everything was perfect, except the sheet hadn't been changed. And the smell of rat droppings.
Great location, the place is beautifully designed, and the rooms are lovely. But there was a problem.
I don't know if it's always like this, but on the day I stayed there, the room had a very strong smell of rat droppings. It was as if rats lived there. Sleeping was awful because of the bad smell. Aside from the bad smell, I liked the place.

Cheap but expensive to stay there. You are paying for Ghent city centre not the accommodation

Size and cleanliness of room.
The breakfast selection was not the best quality of items. There was also no cloche covering anything, so winter guests were freely coughing and sneezing over the meats, cheeses and breads. Suggest the hotel adds some covers over the buffet plates for hygiene.
