Really good hotel in great location with very good breakfast.

The room was a good size with comfortable bed, smart bathroom with plenty of good towels. The breakfast was excellent - plenty of fresh fruit, bread, meat, cheese, eggs, juice, coffee...No rush, just take your time. The hotel is in a good location just around the corner from St Michael's church and a short walk to the cathedral. Very central but in a quiet street.

The public bathroom on the ground floor was just off the dining room and there is no door into the bathroom lobby. You can be seen washing your hands, freshening up.

Great stay veryclose to city center and everything you need

So so close to the city center but still quiet. 2 minute walk from public parking garage. Right across the street from grocery store. Staff were amazing and welcoming.

The AC unit hadn’t been cleaned out in quite some time so it smelled a bit bad at first turn on. Overall, everything else was very clean.

Nice well-located hotel in central Ghent

This comfortable hotel in the center of Ghent has large, spotless rooms and fine beds and a good breakfast. The staff is pleasant and helpful. My room was larger than expected and very nice. The hotel is a shorty walk from the Ghent inner harbor and the Ghent castle.

This is not a problem with the hotel, but I warn travelers arriving by train that the train station is not well-equipped to allow you and your luggage to reach different floors and you will have to drag luggage up and down stairs. Somebody is not competent at the BNCF.

Great location and friendly staff

Its position was excellent for us as tourists with fast and easy access to the central activity area of Ghent. Corner type shop was just across the road, so handy for drinks, fruit, nibbles, noodles etc. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Hotel room was comfortable.

Air conditioning was only cooling, but they gave us a plug in heater, so that turned a dislike to a like. Would have been nice if the tariff had included a light breakfast.

Central Location - Ideal for Exploring City.

Great Location to explore the city. Room was a decent size and comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Kettle and Fridge in the room was a bonus.

Air Con was a bit erratic. Having to choose a breakfast time slot on checkin. There was always a strange unpleasant smell when you enter the hotel.

Sufficient for a work trip.

The location is excellent. Comfortable bed and excellent rest thanks to the silence even though it is in a very central location. Excellent shower. No bathrobe, no slippers. No bathroom accessories.

The services are not four-star. In a real four-star hotel there is always staff available on arrival to take you to your room and take care of your luggage, especially if the room is in another building. There is no telephone, some small (harmless) insects in the room and some kind of smell in the room during the stay (from the drains or something like that) I didn't complain but in general the staff in a four-star hotel should make sure of the quality of the services without the customer having to complain. Dark room. Minimal breakfast without a la carte options. I do not understand where the concept of a boutique hotel applies. It is just a hotel not in a chain.

One time sleepless visit only.

central location

noisiest hotel we ever slept in. we specifically asked for a quiet room but were put below the attic rooms which creak like an old horror film when anybody moves about (which they did often, late & early!). After complaining staff suggested we book out 11am & then book back in after 3pm. Not really possible as we had excursions booked for days 2+3. Night porter could not get answer from idiots above. No reply from polite email complaint to management. A return visit will not be happening.

Breakfast was delicious. The location of the hotel is very close to the centre. Hotel staff were very helpful. The room and bed were comfortable. Towels and sheets were clean. The room was cleaned every day. If I was to travel to Ghent again, I would definitely choose this hotel.

Excellent choice for a weekend in Ghent

The hotel was very centrally located and it was very easy to walk to all the main tourist areas of Ghent. The rate was very favourable compared to other similar hotels in Ghent. The breakfast was very good - lots of choice - continental plus bacon and eggs - and excellent bread and pastries. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious with an excellent shower.

The beds were comfortable but very soft - if you like a firm mattress this would be an issue. Also there was not enough space in the breakfast room for all guests to eat at once - so you had to choose a time slot. This worked well on two of the three mornings we were there but on the Saturday there were too many people [perhaps some were not adhering to their time slot?] and it was difficult to find a table. Also the staff were struggling to replenish the breakfast items.

Superb location near all the attractions in Ghent. I would highly recommend this hotel, my room (which I upgraded to a suite) was outstanding and, as a bonus, the breakfast was great.

Good location, needs some improvement

Amazing location. Good staff

Better cleaning and better beds are needed. The dust gave us an allergic skin reaction. The carpet on the floor should be replaced. Not sure if it was the dust or mattress or pillows but we had a poor night's sleep
