Charming Flat in a great location!

Loved the flat! The living area and open kitchen were beautiful and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more!

The toilet in the bedroom upstairs wasn't functioning properly, however the owner was helpful explaining how it could be used. It was set to be repaired in the upcoming days.

It felt comfy and somewhat magically

Super nice art vibe. The little backyard garden, despite being in a bit rough condition, felt almost magical, with the fireplace and ancient looking door. Once the owners make it nicer, it’ll be a real jewel!

It’s not like I didn’t like it, but if you book this place know that there are two parts - downstairs and upstairs. Both have toilets and bathrooms, the kitchen downstairs is nicely equipped, the one upstairs not much. Bedroom is upstairs. Downstairs is more of a living room. So be aware that you’ll need to climb some stairs. Again, I didn’t mind, was worth it for sure!

This is a place out of the ordinary stays available on Booking: a lot of space is available to move around with some very nice touches. The location is close to town center and railway station (by foot), in a very quite area.

Exceptional

Everything was great. It is a beautiful old apartment and stilishly furnished. There is a living room and a kitchen to share. Also everything super clean and nicely decorated. We had a great stay Gent. It is a wonderful city. Any time again we'd stay at Artist's Loft.

Perfect, beautiful apartment in a great location

The artists loft is an excellent place to stay. Very spacious and beautifully designed, it's also very easy to access in the city and close to the canalside/bars/restaurants/cultural sites. Erik's information in advance and in the apartment was really helpful and he also managed to accommodate a late request for an early check-in. The apartment was cosy with a very tranquil atmosphere. We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay there again if visiting Gent.

Good stay, but a couple of cons

Clean, comfortable bed, clear instructions for check in, appreciated having the coffee maker and plates, the decor has character. Good location in the city too.

It was sweltering hot and there wasn’t even a fan in the attic. I thought there was television but there’s just a tv to play dvds. I didn’t like that the bedroom has no door and there’s another person living in the downstairs. I didn’t feel as safe and secure as I would have otherwise.

Beau Loft très bien placé avec un hôte très accueillant

Grande disponibilité, réactivité et souplesse d'Eric, qui nous a permis d'avoir les lieux plus tôt que prévu et de partir plus tard, c'est très appréciable quand on vient pour un weekend. Les lieux étaient propres, grand espace charmant sur deux étages, bien qu'il fallait passer par l'escalier central.

Au calme des bruits de la ville.

Un emplacement central et calme. Le rez de chaussée est meublé avec goût, belle surface avec une petite cour. Très lumineux. Très bonne prise de contact avec Éric qui répond présent et nous a proposé de prendre possession des lieux plus tôt.

La chambre à l'etage qui nécessite de fermer le bas. Le parquet craque.

Pessima esperienza

Letto grande

La casa è composta da più piani: al piano terra c’è la zona giorno comune con gli altri ospiti e poi altri piani, uno per ogni ospite. Nel piano della nostra camera da letto abbiamo trovato già all’arrivo lo scarico del water rotto e un forte odore di scarico che rendevano inutilizzabile il bagno della camera e quindi anche la doccia ivi presente. Durante la ns. permanenza di quasi 3gg il bagno in camera non è stato riparato. Ci hanno indicato all’arrivo di usare il bagno al piano terra che aveva dei lavandini mignon, più piccoli di una ciotola, scomodissimi. Nella camera da letto non c’erano comodini. Ai lati del grande letto nulla su cui poggiare le proprie cose. In tutta la casa non c’è una sedia! Solo vecchie poltrone o panche. Gli asciugamani avevano un odore simile al formaggio. Se vi piace dormire in un polveroso magazzino di un antiquario, è il luogo ideale.

Temiz, güvenilir, sakin ve huzurlu bir konaklama

2 karttan oluşan ve harika dekore edilmiş bir ev. Alt kat tam bir sanat evi gibiyken üst katta harika bir yatakta uyuyabiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca temel mutfak malzemeleri vb. tüm araç gereçler düşünülerek yerleştirilmişti. Konum olarak ise meydana sadece yürüyerek 5 dakika da ulaşabiliyorsunuz. Tren istasyonu ise yürüyerek 24 dakika ve güzel bir parkurdan Gent’i keşfederek yürüme olanağınız var.

Goed geslapen maar wel met een schuld gevoel

Eerder een studio dan een hotelkamer maar prima voor 1 overnachting. De ruimte op de gelijkvloers hebben we niet gebruikt want het is onhandig om dan via de smalle trap naar de slaapkamer te gaan. Eigenlijk is dit een plaats waar op elke verdieping een student een prima kot zou hebben. Bij nader inzien jammer dat we dit geboekt hebben en hiermee de Airbnb wildgroei in grote steden hebben ondersteund. En er zijn inderdaad meer van dit soort plaatsen in Gent, getuige hiervan de vele sleutels kasten aan de gevels.

Ruim en goede locatie

We logeerden op de bovenste 2 verdiepingen. De onderste heeft een woonkamer met aangrenzend een ruimte waar de badkamer zich bevindt en een kastje met koffie/thee en wat servies. Boven is de grote slaapkamer met een fijn bed en een grote bank. De locatie is goed; lekker rustig en op loopafstand van het oude centrum. Entree via een sleutelplaatje bij de deur. Instructies vooraf (ook t.a.v. parkeren) waren goed.

De hygiëne kan beter.

Heerlijk appartement in de stad, zeker voor herhaling!

Heerlijke grote kamer(s). Wij hadden helaas maar 1 overnachting, dus voor ons was het appartement eigenlijk te groot 😉. Maar de locatie is ideaal om meerdere dagen te verblijven. Rustige buurt.

De "keuken" vond ik zeer eenvoudig, maar voldoende voor ons

Heerlijk verblijf op een rustige locatie, centraal gelegen.

Ik verbleef in de loft: sfeervol, ruim en artistiek. Het betreft twee verdiepingen(2e en 3e etage van het pand). De 2e etage heeft, in vergelijking met de rest van de etages, een kleine badkamer met toilet. Geen keuken, wel een kleine koelkast. De 3e etage is meer ingericht als slaapkamer, daar staat een ruim bed (met twee lossematrassen erin). De etages zijn verbonden met smalle houten trappen (m.i. was men bezig met onderhoud/restauratie van de trappen). Het is een mooie locatie, rustig en goed bereikbaar. Alle bezienswaardigheden zijn op loopafstand, en anders is het openbaar vervoer vlakbij. Koffie en thee was aanwezig. Evenzo als welkom een flesje water. Het contact met de verhuurder verliep erg goed, deze reageerde snel op evt vragen.

Voor mij was het prima. Ik kan mij wel voorstellen dat dit geen geschikte accommodatie is voor mensen met problemen aan heupen, knieën of benen i.v.m. de vele trappen en het toilet op verschillende etages.
