We stayed for 5 nights at the Kluis. Stay was very comfortable. The kluis is big and has 2 bathrooms, perfect for families. It was an old structure and we were not expecting itt to be as nice as it is inside so we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Amazing building and gardens, parking next door, short stroll into old Ghent. It’s incredibly peaceful and quiet, don’t come here if you are loud!!
Not that we didn’t like it, but we and a few others seemed to have trouble with the access and check in. I would advise that you check in online well before you come, and look carefully for instructions in the email. We didn’t do this and arrived out of reception hours so had a little difficulty, but all was resolved.

Very peaceful monastery. The breakfast was incredible with a huge variety of cheese. Probably the best scrambled eggs I’ve had in a hotel. My room had a beautiful garden view.

Location: very close to center
Room are very clean and bed comfortable
The atmosphere is calming and really quiet
Parking next door with small fees
We arrived 2 hours before 3 pm but we couldn't enter the rooms but we could store our bags at reception. After driving more than 4 hours it would have been nice to be able to wash up and rest in our rooms

Het Rustpunt is a haven of peace & quiet.
It is a place of refreshment from the noise. & busyness of the world. It nourishes you in body, soul, and spirit.

Great location for the main tourist centre of Ghent - only a 5/10 minute walk. Taxi to Station Sint Pieter around €20/22 - easy to book in the Taxi222 app. Very comfortable accommodation, lovely breakfast with great choices. Has maintained essence of monastery so very quiet and peaceful inside and around the surrounding area. Would recommend.
There was nothing.

This is the second time we have stayed here this time we brought friends. They loved it as much as we did -set in lovely gardens very tranquil right in the heart of Ghent.

I liked the super clean renovated modern room with excellent climate control, a super huge shower, safe security to all entrances, and very pleasant, resourceful staff. Quaint, historical flavor with the grounds of the monastery (bridge and pond) in pristine condition. Interesting library and original art work on walls. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely abundant spread at breakfast buffet. Eggs to perfection and excellent cappuccino and lattes. Visit Gravensteen Castle a few blocks away. Would go back.
There is nothing to dislike.

Peaceful idyll close to centre of town
Noise at night attributed to wooden floors and echo of hallways around and above. I understand this is down to design and history of the spaces.

The park and the historian building
Very bear rooms and not very comfortable beds
Everything including breakfast were very basic
Pictures are much better than reality
I don’t think the place is worth the money asked

I was right in the heart of the old town. The monastery grounds and the room was very comfortable. I liked that the room was quiet. The room itself is no frills (no mirror except in the bathroom, no tv, no tea/ coffee making facilities). The bed was very comfortable and the shower area was large and the water pressure was excellent. The free breakfast was nice and there was an array of food choices. I really enjoyed my stay.
It wasn’t a problem for me but to point out to others the rooms are not looked after every day by staff. The garbage is not collected or towels refreshed unless you specifically ask someone to do it.

Nice place off to the side of Ghent's centre in an old abbey. Great amenities even in the single bed rooms.

My stay in the hotel was superb! The room was amazing and super comfortable, with a spacious and impeccable bathroom. The breakfast was incredible, with variety and everything was delicious. Excelent localization! A short walk away from the castle and the city center!
It is quite a walk to get to the rooms from the entrance and it is quite a maze. But overall, I truly recommend and would stay again!

The breakfast was good. The back garden area was nice for a picnic.
The only elevator was broken most of our stay. So was the security door. Without the elevator rooms were hard to access and no one at the desk to help, we along with other guests had to struggle to figure out how to get to our rooms and walk up several flights of stairs. More wrong than right, sadly. Most amenities were hard to find or appreciate.

It truly is a monastery, which was a nice experience but also a bit creepy haha.. really quiet and dark at night.

Very interesting building and nice and quiet.
Our sink was blocked all weekend. I raised the issue twice but it was still not sorted on checkout. Several mosquito bites too.

Location and parking available (at a subsidised cost) for motorcycle. The grounds are immaculate and its a lovely place to be. Rooms spacious, views great, hairdryer, shower gel- everything required is at hand (although no tv or radios allowed in room).
Breakfast was worse than dismal - really let the stay down. We went down at 9am on the first day, bearing in mind breakfast starts at 8am and finishes at 10am, there was nothing left. There was one person clearing the tables in no hurry to make space available or replenish the breakfast food. Coffee machine only giving one option as other options were empty and even the pastries were hard and dry. Poor breakfast facilities.

Right on the edge of the old historic area so I could walk everywhere. They do a very nice buffet breakfast and my room overlooked their lovely garden. Everything was very good. Recommended
I felt it was a little expensive but it was the going rate for Ghent especially during the annual festival.

Proximity to the city center and its seclusion and how quiet it was
Nothing really once you got past that you’re staying in a working convent.
