A big room. Comfy bed. Centrally located.

The extractor fan didn’t seem to work in the bathroom. There was an overwhelming smell of damp. The air conditioning didn’t work until the final few hours of our stay. We reported this to the host but nothing was actioned. As the air conditioning wasn’t working, we had to open the window as it was too hot and there was a lack of ventilation. As a result, I was harassed by mosquitoes (bitten 10+ times) and we were constantly woken up by the noise of passing trains (which is insanely loud when the window is open). The room has little to no sound insulation - you can hear people coming into their rooms, talking, and you can hear the buzzer really loud when people come back late. Note we were in the bedroom furthest from the communal entrance. Unfortunately, we would not stay again.

Gent villa stay

It was a lovely private villa - rooms are big enough and well designed. Garden of the hotel is also a big bonus, for a morning coffee or breakfast. Staff was kind and helpful. Entering in with a password is giving flexibility.

So close to railroad tracks, it can be noisy time to time.

Welcoming, comfortable, and easy.

Ease of entry. On street parking was cheap and close to property. Clean. Comfortable sofa. Nice decor. Quiet street, so a peaceful night. Comfy, large bed.

The overhang above the toilet - we banged our heads on it more than once. The pillow was pretty solid and gave me a stiff neck, so I would've liked a lighter option. Lack of lighting in or close to the cupboard containing the coffee/tea-making facilitiies made it hard to see what I was doing.

Sparkling clean, comfortable bed, designed interior, friendly staff.

The doors miss a simple seal which results in noise pollution, the door trembles with every footstep. The rooms are parallel to railway. For a one night stay we had no problem but might be tricky for longer stays

Fresh and cool b&b just outside Ghent city centre.

We cycled from Bruges on the hottest of days, so the A\C was very welcome! Lovely garden where we ate breakfast in the shade. We had bikes so Ghent was easy to reach...it might be a long walk. Coffee in the room, but no tea. The trains did not bother us, despite the railway being so close.

No kettle in the room or option for tea that I could see. Finding the place was oddly not easy. The sign was hidden maybe.

Thanks for a lovely stay!

We loved our warm welcome and spotlessly clean room. It is a beautiful place. The facilities are fantastic, with a kitchen, and everything is of the highest quality. In spite of being close to the railway line, it was quiet and peaceful, with a very pretty garden.

We prefer to be closer to the centre of town. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the station, from which one then catches a tram into town.

clean and close to train station

We traveled as a family and were split between 2 rooms that weren’t interleading. Main room was off the landing/dining area and the doors were glass so the privacy was not great. No bar fridge in main room. Also only received caffeinated coffee on the first day of the stay. Not allowed to bring in take aways into the room either. Just uncomfortable for a family.

The room and bathroom were extremely clean and comfortable, including the massive, comfy bed. Host very helpful and friendly, location was good for us, visiting the Kuipke velodrome and the city

Cupboard was directly over the toilet, which would have been very easy to bang your head on, either when getting up or just walking into the bathroom. Snacks in the room are very expensive, but good selection.

Old building beautifully renovated plus a garden where you can eat breakfast. Excellent air conditioning which was appreciated on a hot humid day. Really nice host

No price list for mini bar or garden room bar. The room was not cleaned in between days and I found it very dark. You can hear trains but that wasn't a problem. There was a huge sealed box on the wall above the WC (maybe a boiler or air conditioning?) In my room. You could hit your head on this easily. This is in a residential area with little evidence of bars or restaurants. A tedious walk to the station and old town which was 30 mins taking into account wide roads.
