A nice room with indeed excellent views

Such a great location! Views were amazing. All of the soft drinks (also wine) were included. Room was comfy and very clean. By the way: room was cleaned every day. We did not need it but it was done anyway. Breakfast was really good.

Stairs, yes, but we could cope with it. The first day even someone brought our luggage up while we were out. Personally, I found the matress too soft. That's a question of personal taste, so no real critic here. We have no internet during our stay. However, we really did not needed because we have good roaming with our mobile operator.

Perfect location, amazing views, incredible breakfast. What a gem!

Loved the perfect location but also my gorgeous room which really did have a view, the incredible breakfast (Just wow!), the three course dinner in the restaurant, the generous free mini bar. The bed was so comfortable too. All of it. Bie is a wonderful host who was incredibly helpful with luggage and organising a taxi for me. This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in and would go back to Ghent just to stay here again.

Spiral staircase is very steep and there’s no lift - will not suit anyone with mobility restrictions. Ours was the top floor room which benefited from a Juliet balcony and great views across the old quarter of Ghent.

Great value for money, great location.

The view and atmosphere of the room is wonderful. Staff are friendly and helpful. The parking arranged through the hotel is only 200m or so from the room and was easy to navigate to using the cars navigation.

The stairs up are a challenge if you have mobility problems. For us, over 60, it was no problem. You just need to take your time to enjoy this authentic building.

Location and all staff are exceptional. Bed and pillows ensured a good sleep. Great dining and drinking area both front and back and a great breakfast.

We knew about being able to hear noise from the room beforehand but if you take earplugs it’s not a problem. That’s the price of an original property in a “listed” category. We we’re happy with the situation.

EVERYTHING. The room, bed, and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. It was the best breakfast we had on our trip by far. The owner is attentive and friendly. Location is amazing as you are centrally located to all the places to visit. This is our second time staying here and we will continue to book "Rooms With A View" every time we come to Ghent. BTW the name says it all, the view is magical at night. Strongly recommend!

It’s in a great location and fantastic views. We had 3 in our group and the room was spacious with 2 separate bedrooms. Lovely views from the bedrooms of the canal and towers. There was also a cafe/ bar below, great to sit and watch people after a day of walking.

There really wasn’t a person at a front desk. We didn’t see anyone in the breakfast area either though we could have ordered breakfast ahead of time.

Stay for the view and the food.

the location. The view from our room. especially at night. the staff was willing and helpful in taking my 50 lb bag up and down the stairs. Breakfast and the breakfast room are amazing. The decor is first rate. We wish we know they had the restaurant for dinner. It would have been good. The hotel manager is very engaging and hospitable. we enjoyed our night there.

Perfect location for a wonderful hotel.

Bie met us as arranged and got our car parked at an easy distance from the hotel. We were delighted to be given an upgrade to the most beautiful room with stunning views fron the windows and the private terrace. The meal we had in the hotel restaurant was superb and the breakfasts were delicious.

Great Hotel !

Very great location with an awesome view (expected with the hotel name but well apprecied) Breakfast was really nice, staff was friendly and nice. Everything was great, we spent a great stay in this hotel ! The location of the hotel in the center of the city was a big plus !

It’s a small point but at one moment, there was a small sewer / drain smell. This in no way spoiled our stay :-)

A great stay in Ghent.

Wonderful host, Bea. She made sure all was great. We continue to travel and this is easily the best breakfast, view, and location.

Our own fault, we left windows open and husband was bothered by mosquitoes. Be mindful of the stairs but the hosts have done everything they can to make them as safe as possible with handrails, light, etc.

Perfect location with lovely rooms, views and food!

Perfect location with all the majors sights and lots of great restaurants close by. The room was modern, comfy and super clean. Lovely views as well of the river, bridge and castle. The restaurant below that's run by the owners is also fantastic and the food amazing. The owners were super helpful with everything and an absolute pleasure to talk to!

A perfect getaway retreat

Bie met us on arrival and kindly showed us around the facilities. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the hotel is perfectly located with fantastic views (as it says in the name). The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, and a beautiful start to the day overlooking the canal. All the staff were very pleasant. Thankyou Bie and Pascal for a great few days. I would strongly recommend as a good base to explore Ghent.

Perfect accommodation for a short trip to Ghent

This accommodation is amazing. The location couldn't be better, and the rooms are located in a tastefully decorated historic building with sensational views and a wonderful breakfast terrace. The breakfast was excellent, and we also had a large selection of snacks and drinks in our room, which far exceeded our expectations. The hosts are very friendly and attentive, we felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay very much.

The breakfast was superb, lovely, fresh and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and obliging. The location was overlooking the river and very central which was perfect.

Ghent and Rooms With A View was a most perfect way to spend the end of our three week vacation!

Breakfast was abundant and delicious. More than we even asked for! Room was sparkling clean and ready for us and the staff was welcoming and excellent!

One night there was some late and loud partying on the street below which disturbed our sleep for a bit but that’s it

Bei the owner was so welcoming and helpful. Her breakfast was spectacular as well. And the location to walk to all the things to do in Ghent was ideal.

So a negative for some but we considered it a challenge to an 80 year old couple. Very steep stairs that we knew about in advance. Good cardio workout and help with luggage was provided. Just added to the charm

Can’t wait to go back

Perfect location, Bee (the owner) was outstanding. The apartment is above her restaurant, impecable, beautiful views of the canal. It has all possible amenities including wine, drinks and snacks. The breakfast was outstanding. We are dreaming to go back. So much better to stay in Ghent than Bruges, and even better if it’s in this amazing place.

It was great, but a bit tricky booking the breakfast as the relevant restaurant was closed. The stairs are difficult to get up to the 3rd floor, but you can get help with luggage, though we didn't have any.

We loved the view from our room, every historical sight. Cute and cozy, although it was up a very steep set of steps. The breakfast was wonderful served on the beautiful terrace on the canal. The owner was wonderful.

Very Comfortable room with great hospitality in the heart of beautiful Gent

The location is exceptional. Heart of the old town with great views and atmosphere. Easy to pop back for sun lotion, to fill water or for facilities. Super breakfast by the river. Comfortable bed.

Slight panic when there was no answer on either phone number when we arrived around half an hour late at 8pm. (Was just a slightly nerve wracking 10 minute wait for the door to be opened). The WiFi didn’t work for us in the first floor room, but phone signal was good enough to watch iplayer etc.

The perfect place to stay for a couple

Our stay at Rooms With A View was fantastic. Everything exceeded our expectations. The view is stunning and the location is unparalleled right in the center of the old city. The room is very comfortable. The staff and owner go above and beyond, always smiling and with kind attentions. And the breakfast! It was just exceptional, for the large selection of fresh products, the service and the quiet setting near the water. We will for sure stay again next time we are in Ghent. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay.
