Beautiful room in quiet courtyard without (but any personal attention).

Beautiful room with exposed brick in a quiet courtyard. Close to great museums, and some 20 minutes by foot from the town center. The adjoining common kitchen and lounge area were well equipped and comfy. This is the seating area with coffee facilities mentioned in the add; not in the room itself, but in a common area (which was fine for us).

In a small hotel called Chambre d’Amis, you would expect some personal attention. However, during our two nights (we booked one extra through their website) we never saw anyone. Not at check-in, not to ask whether all was okay, not during the day, not even at check-out; just a payment link for the extras…. In fairness, though, they were responsive through messaging.

Everything was lovely. Gorgeous property, safe, secure and clean. Lovely staff. Very private area. The bed was super comfortable.

Loved that it was located close to train station, didn't realize it was 30 min walk into the city. We should have rented bikes and then it would have been perfect.

One kilometer from Ghent center, but we had our own virtual suite, with our own private outdoor garden, completely isolated from the bustle of the city.

Location is fantastic. A few mins walk from Sint Pieters & tram stops, restaurants and cafés everywhere... despite all that, once you enter the accommodation it's serene. Do you want cozier vibe than normal hotels, but more services than airbnb? Then this place is perfect.

The only downsides are 1) WiFi reception can be very sketchy in your room (excellent in the dining area though) and 2) stairs to the rooms are very steep.

Great family owned stay with awesome view and walking distance from station and to the centre

The place has a great view and is isolated from the hustle of the streets. the lush green garden with a small pond is just fantastic. the common area with kitchen available to use for all guests is also great. We had made our own breakfast there itself, and is nicely maintained.

The room was incredibly comfortable and beautiful. They took great care to design and furnish the room with high quality and authentic furniture. The gardens are magnificent and it is an absolute paradise in the city. Not to mention laying in that bath might have been the single most romantic experience we have every had. Our host Hannah also made us a lovely breakfast and helped us with anything we needed.

Beautiful, stylish and totally relaxing.

The property is beautiful. A real oasis and totally unexpected from the approach. The rooms are stunning, the communal lounge and kitchen and outside space is amazing, so beautiful in style and decor. The breakfast was delicious. The reception/check in by Alix was great...very warm, welcoming and relaxed yet thorough. The location was just right...15/20 stroll to the old town along the river, or trams straight to the old town...all very convenient.

Excellent stay in terms of host, comfort and experience.

Host was very helpful and welcoming when checking in. Bedroom was authentic and had an industrial atmosphere which included a very large and comfortable bed. Public areas had stylish furnishings and some period features which added to the character of the hotel. Breakfast was good and lit candles on the table and surrounding areas added to the overall pleasant ambience.

The staff very profesional and friendly. They make you feel welcome upon arrival. Place is conveniently located 8 min. Walk from Gent Sint Pieters. The bed, linings, toiletries products are excellent. We had breakfast prepared by Glenn and it was simply yummy ! Highly recommended

Beautiful green oasis of serenity a few minutes by foot from Gent-Sint-Pieters train station. The staff is very friendly, the room is beautifully decorated and the breakfast was very good. Would come again.

The room was really very warm without an AC. It was during an intense heat wave though, so that is to be expected. A small cooling unit just for these extreme days would be a great addition.
