Smart hotel in terrific location for public transport

Smart, modern hotel. Room was a good size. Location is perfect if you are arrive by train and a good location for the city in any case. Was given a pass for free use of public transport during my stay.

Elegant, comfortable, well-appointed and convenient! A highlight of our trip!

Unexpectedly we received free Basel Cards, it made us have discounts for 3 museums and free public transportation during these two days. Couldn’t be more grateful and excited!

A great location with lovely staff and comfortable rooms

I loved my stay. The rooms were modern and clean, with enough room to feel comfortable. The location to the train station and additional transportation was excellent, plus it's a reasonable walk to the old town area. The onsite restaurant meals were very good. The staff was so friendly and helpful with local information.

The Victoria is a really nice hotel in a good location. Beds were comfortable & rooms had everything you need for a

Vg location right opposite train station. Rooms were spotless & staff extremely helpful.

Would have liked more of a lounge to relax in rather than a bar with tables & chairs. Continental breakfast became a bit unappealing after the 3rd day as it was the same dishes every day.

Within a few minutes from the train station. Excellent accessibility with quietness for a relaxed stay after a day of outing. Room is well furnished.

The temperature controller is not ideal. Difficult to achieve comfortable temperature. Adapted by wearing suitable clothes in the room and able to rest well.

Very comfortable and highly recommended

I rarely give the highest rating, but this place deserves it as it was really comfortable. The room was well equipped and clean (big plus for two kinds of pillows where you can actually feel the difference), breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty, and staff very kind and helpful. I also enjoyed the current art collection displayed, great initiative.

A very convenient location next to the Train Station with clean and comfortable accomodations.

The rooms were nicely furnished although there was not a chair for the desk.

The shower had poor water pressure. You could feel the vibrations of the trains and trams.

Everything was great!

Great location! Next to the central station and trams for the whole city. Very clean, great breakfast and very good restaurant in the hotel. We had very quiet room and comfortable beds. There are even two pillows so you can choose which one is better for you.

The location was excellent, right next to the train station. Easy to get around in Basel. The buffet breakfast had a tremendous amount of options & was very good.

This hotel helped to make our short stay in Basel very enjoyable

Excellent breakfast choice, including freshly cooked omelettes to order. Location superb if using train to Basel main station. 1min walk from main entrance. Also close to trams into centre of city. Helpful staff at reception on check in gave us passes to use for the trams, which we made use of even though we only had half a day to explore.

Our room was in the annexe, adjoined to main hotel building. Accessed via a very hot glass corridor.

You thought Swiss cleaning was accurate, the Victoria Hotel surpasses it.

The rooms are in a quiet location with birds chirping and face a green inner courtyard, although the hotel is located on the noisy square at the entrance to Basel's train station. The cleanliness is absolutely perfect. The welcoming staff responds to every request and always with a smile and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The Basel card is great. The breakfast is of a high standard with an emphasis on fresh, local and healthy food Variety and very tasty. Thank you very much.

very good location, car park is good. We, a four person family enjoyed very much here.

They have their own carpark with a security gate, which is within the train station car park. Very good. They have so many varieties for breakfast. Next time i will stay here again.

Just overnight on the way to the airport. Couldn’t have a better location for that, beside the train station and bus to the airport outside the door.

Staff were both friendly and helpful. Finally got most electrical problems working. Wiring by the bed should be looked at. But my wiring may have been problematic also. Meal veal stroganoff was tasty but i was too tired to finish. We showed up last minute and were exhausted.

Wiring seemed tired. Should be standardized with EU. Not your problem.
