Convenient for one night close to the station

Very close to station. No noise as room was on the inner courtyard side

You could hear clearly the other guests next door and also very strongly when somebody is walking in front of the door.

Conveniently located neartrain station and public transport

Located just minutes in front of Basel SBB and near eateries and public transport, the hotel room though a bit outdated was clean, comfortable and big..The bathroom was well equipped, there was a kettle with coffee option and I appreciated that I could get some fresh air through the big windows. After hours check in via the connecting hotel was smooth and efficient too. Overall a good weekend stay.

good for an emergency stay in Basel

Location, very close to the Train station and Airport bus stop, 10 min from all main city attractions, you receive a bus ticket for all days of your stay

the stairs at the entrance, if you have a heavy luggage it would be a problem lifting it to the reception, the breakfast is generally poor but decent for the price of the stay, but coffee is bad, mattresses need replacement

Very convenient for station and airport bus. Reception at next door hotel open until late (our flight arrived 10:30pm). Room/bathroom well designed.

Second time staying at the property this year and it didn’t disappoint. Location is excellent, rooms were spotless, very comfortable beds and very good breakfast included in the price.

It is a very-very good variant to visit Basel, for a short or a long stay. Very good position, very good facilities, nice personal, good breakfast, perfect cleanliness. So, in a nut shell formulation: best value for the price!...

Despite the issues raised above, it was an excellent experience as my partner loved it.

Breakfast was reasonable, although I would preferred more meal options. I don't think yoghurt was on the offer or maybe I did not see it.

I would have preferred one king sized bed instead of the 2 single beds together

Summer break in Basel 4 nights

Excellent location only 150 meters from main railway station which is also the drop off point for bus 50 from the airport. Everything within walking distance but the hotel also provides a free Basel card and this allows unlimited free transport. The trams run every 2 or 3 minutes. You can also use your Basel card to return to the airport. Hotel staff were very nice and you also have use of sister hotel next door. Breakfast is served on the 8th floor so good views of the city.

There was no AC in our room but we were provided with a fan on asking. It was v hot during our stay 33c. Everything else was good.

Convenient location for short stay in the city!

The hotel is located very close to SBB railway station and bus stop #50 from and to EuroAirport. With Basel card provided you can use local transport and having tram stop nearby it is very convenient.

There is built in air conditioning at the room, which you cannot switch off. It is not too heavy or loud, but you still hear it and feel it which could cause a little inconvenience

Great location and comfortable room

Superb location near the main station and a short walk to the sights. Very comfortable bed, good sized room with decent facilities. There was no street noise at night. Breakfast was good but not outstanding. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The door of our room was *very* difficult to open and close - you actually had to slam it shut which I'm sure didn't amuse the other guests day or night. I cannot understand why it wasn't fixed.

Had a triple room so good space. Receptionist was helpful. Breakfast was ok. Shower over bath was their only option.

Well located and charming staff

The hotel is very well located near the central station. We arrived early and the young man on reception, who was fascinated by my green tin of Smints which are not available in Switzerland and I happily gave him, went above and beyond to find us a room we could move it to straight away. All the staff were friendly, the breakfast with views over the city was very good and our room was clean and comfortable.

Clean, convenient location. Breakfast room at the top is a nice addition to see the city from a high spot.

I arrived at 11pm and I could not get into the lobby to check in with the code I had been provided, the glass door wouldn't open. There was a common corridor connecting to an adjacent hotel, and I went there to ask if they knew how to get inside. They said I was supposed to check in with them, and they sorted it out for me. However, there was NO indication whatsoever anywhere in the Metropol that I had to check in on the OTHER hotel to which they're connected. One more beer on me and I would've ended sleeping on the floor.
