Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel

Upon arriving the staff helped us with our luggage and took us to our room to show us how things operated. BIG PLUS. We ordered the small breakfast everyday... excellent. Plenty to eat! Staff is fantastic! The location was perfect for walking into town. Highly recommend this hotel!

Aloha! We live in Japan and Hawaii. The room was small but modern, well designed and had a garden view. We originally ordered the small breakfast but the next day ordered the buffet. The buffet had a wide selection of fresh, well prepared and presented vegetables which made it well worth the added expense.

We needed laundry services but the pricing was very expensive (something about not available on the weekend so ordering on a Thursday required a 50% mark-up for Friday delivery?). When we inquired about coin laundries in Basel we were told there are none. We use coin laundries often in our travels and were able to find a modern one within a 20 minute walk on the other side of the zoo. When we shared this with the receptionist who told us there were none in Basel she pointed out that the coin laundry we found was not in Basel but in a another town even though it was a 20 minute walk from the hotel?

Centrally located. On a main road but room was super quiet. Coffee machine. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Bus stop 2 minutes away. Can be at Basel SBB within 5 minutes

Nothing

Lovely staff, clean room, good breakfast

The outlook was awful, very dark and drab! Parking was quite tricky
