Good location, but room size and noise were an issue.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located, right next to the tram and bus station, making transportation very easy.

The room was extremely small and poorly soundproofed. We could clearly hear the neighboring guests even when they were speaking at a normal volume.

budget hotel at great location

Great location right in front of the main station, nearby supermarket. Spacious room and bathroom. Decent shower. Very helpful reception at hotel Euler. Price is good for facility in room and location.

confusing entrance. So you have to go to hotel metropole or Euler to check in. The map location of hotel city inn itself has no reception, no entrance without keycard. When we circled to Hotel Metropole according to the instructions of time to check in, it was close. We navigated the inside til we found hotel Euler reception which was very easy to go from station, if we knew that from the start. Staff is very friendly and professional. And all entrance requires that you lift luggage’s up a few stairs.

Solo travel

The rooms at the City Inn Basel are always practical. I particularly like the numerous plugs available, to charge all devices. I also like their mattresses. I always sleep well.

There was no mini fridge. I don't even know if rooms are supposed to have one but I forgot to request it, and I needed it for my medication which needed to be kept cold...I ended up going to buy a huge bag of ice from the supermarket. This time I had a single room, and the door opened in an awkward way directly banging into the suitcase holder. Having the door opening the other way around would have been a lot less cumbersome (imagine getting through with the luggage!) The lift does not reach all floors, sadly.

Very good hotel for the location and money

Location fantastic easy to come from the airport with the schuttle to the train station

There was stairs to access the reception, with luggage was not easy , and lift was long way to the room. Nevertheless the Restaurant of hotel Euler connected is fantastic, the breakfast was also very good .

This hotel is very close to the train station. It is also right by the tram, so it is very easy to get public transportation. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Nice hotel close to everything.

The hotel is very old but staff were able to get us in a renovated room so, it was nice. very close to restaurants and supermarkets. Staff are friendly.

Initially they gave us an old not renovated room but when I objected they changed our room to the renovated side of the hotel. They were nice and able to accomodate us.

location is excellent, easy access to public transport. cleaning service was fine, cleaned the room and changed the towels, internet wifi was working fine

i expected more. rooms kind of small and basic, no cupboard, only 3 hangers, no fridge, tv not working, very warm in the room, access to the room is not available with elevator - need to carry suitcase over stairs, elevator to the room - so neighbors were noisy during night.

The room was okay, probably good for the price. I enjoyed being in the central location.

Desk staff was very kind and showed the way to the elevator.

1) I should have known in advance that check-in is at the very evident (on the centralbahnplatz) Hotel Euler (pronounced Oyler). After walking around for quite a while using google maps I found someone who directed me there. 2) To get to the room, which is in the City Inn, connected to the Euler, I had to navigate a complicated pathway including two steep flights of stairs after getting off the elevator.

Heating was off in whole building and an electric heating was given to us, however reservation already paid and staff did not mention absolutely anything. A discount should be applied.
