the location is simply great, it is literally just down town within 50 meters to plenty of bars and restaurants.
the rest was totally fine as well but nothing special.
we didn't opt for breakfast and at the end we seemed to have made the right choice. the breakfast area didn't seem to be very comfortable.

Location directly at Barfüßerplatz, therefore easily accessible by tram from Basel SBB. BaselCard included in the hotel price (already valid for the arrival), i.e. free public transport and a 25% discount on museum admissions. Very friendly lady at the reception. Check-in in the afternoon was possible without any problems. Room very clean, with air conditioning and safe. Breakfast was not booked, instead we were in the Confiserie Schiesser on the market square.
Complaining at a high level: mattresses were pretty hard. No real table in the room (just a coffee table). Soundproofing of the windows is sufficient for normal background noise, but not for the drumming of the cliques on "Bummelsonntag". Soap dispenser in the shower didn't work.

Very centrally located, an easy walk from the train station. The room was spacious and immaculate with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and everything one would expect in a continental breakfast.
