Has to be seen to be believed!

We had one of the newly rebranded rooms overlooking the city which was a most interesting and memorable experience! Especially the WC!! Hotel’s amazing position adjacent to the Rhine and its constant flow of super long barges, its 300 year old history and tradition speaks for itself - but comes at a price. As expected - all staff immaculately trained.

It took the charismatic concierge who initially opened our car doors and greeted us as long lost friends as we arrived to come up to our room and fix the TV!! But this was the only slight blemish on an otherwise outstanding overnight stop.

The staff are wonderful

Need tea and coffee facilities in the room. Also the bath/shower in our room was difficult to get in and out and the shower was antiquated and didn’t mix the hot and cold water well.

A perfect blend of history, comfort and outstanding service.

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Les Trois Rois. Our room had several windows with a beautiful view of the Rhine River, which made the experience even more special. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel is beautiful and full of history, and the changing flower arrangements at the entrance were a lovely surprise, offering a different visual experience each day. The bar was outstanding, with a live pianist and a fantastic repertoire, creating a truly elegant atmosphere. Despite being one of the oldest hotels in Europe, the comfort and technology are exceptional — heated bathroom floors, automatic curtains, and even a TV that can be controlled from the bathtub. An extremely pleasant, elegant and unforgettable stay. Highly recommended.

Luxurious Basel

Les Trois Rois is a fantastic hotel and whether or not we stay there when in Basel, we always make a point of going to the bar - it's fabulous!

This time the beds and pillows weren't as comfortable as I remember from our last visit, but it's a stellar hotel and the rooms are great!

Almost everything! They gave me a very bad room (toilet was disgusting, wall was broken, shower was broken (a hole)). I was a returning guest (at least 6 stays in this hotel), and nevertheless i got a very old room that was disgusting. The service in the bar was also bad, the staff was slow and not super friendly and in the restaurant it was exactly the same, the waiter was codescendent.

Fabulous Design Experience

It is not my first time to stay in Les Trois Rois, but this time was more special and impressive after trying the Blumenrain suit designed by Herzog & de Meuron … just wow! It is a unique experience to get inspired of design details, combined with elite service! It is setting a new benchmark mark of hospitality!

The new wellness are could have had a better plug pool, especially with the roof top overviewing the great city view!

Luxury, Comfort, and Impeccable Service

This hotel offers ultimate luxury from start to finish. The style is traditional, everything is impeccably maintained, and the entire place is spotless. The staff were exceptional, always greeting us with a smile and being incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, the cocktails were perfect, and the breakfast, cakes, and other treats were outstanding. Our room was extremely comfortable and very quiet. Every piece of furniture and every detail had clearly been thoughtfully considered and was in perfect condition. They provided robes, slippers, shoehorns, an umbrella, and more. The welcome treats included fresh fruit, chocolates, and a little Eurovision-themed cake. In the evenings, they tidied the room for turndown service, closed the curtains, and neatly arranged our belongings. The corridors were carpeted with a thick central runner, which meant we never heard anyone passing by, even though the hotel was fully booked. We were also given a jar of hotel jam to take away with us and we can't wait to try it. If you’re considering this hotel and can afford the price tag, you will not be disappointed. Book it.

It’s genuinely difficult to find anything we didn’t like about this hotel. If I were being very picky, I’d mention that it would have been convenient to have USB sockets in the room for charging devices. Also, while the provided toiletries were high quality, they came in large, refillable containers, it would’ve been a nice touch to have smaller, take-home versions available.

The Service and the Kindness of the Staff is unbeatable ! The Council is a unique Cigar Lounge best ever Seen and. I saw a lot!! Full of real Art pieces

Perfect stay in Basel.

Perfect stay in Basel. We spent our wedding night in the hotel, we had a nice suite with balcony and river view. We couldn’t choose better for our special moment. Location it is really central and the stuff is very nice and helpful. Valet-parking it is a plus.

A very nice hotel near Old Town and restaurants.

Lovely property with ornate design everywhere. Very gracious staff at every location waiting to direct or help. Wonderful river lounge for getting a drink and relaxing. The breakfast was one of the very best I have had the pleasure of. The room was very comfortable and quiet although we were on the city side by the trams.

The one morning we had breakfast we sat next to the window viewing the river. There was a large amount of small flies that probably came from the river on the window and some were on the table.
