Memorable

Fraser and Elvina at the front desk were amazing!. Very friendly and incredibly helpful. We are from the US and wanted to go to Luzerne and were a bit uncomfortable taking the train ourselves. Fraser walked me through the process, helped us buy tickets and provided printed material. A very pleasant and professional man with a a great attitude. Elvina was also very pleasant and helpful and had offered to do the same. I talked to her multiple times, she was also very helpful and made me feel like she had all the time in the world for me. Both were exceptionally well groomed!

Nice hotel

Nice commercial hotel. Nice staff and good breakfast. Our roon was in the building behind the main block which was very quite but a bit of a stroll with luggage

Centrally located and clean but major comfort concerns

Very clean and spacious room. The staff is friendly and the location is very central.

We were unable to sleep at night due to the constant passing of trams. The noise was unbearable, and the rooms facing Clarastrasse are severely affected by both the noise and the vibration from the road. In the shower, the water temperature changes abruptly from extremely hot to cold and back again without any adjustment, making it a very unpleasant and unsafe experience. Additionally, it is possible to hear the occupants in the room above using the bathroom, as a loud metal-clanging noise is transmitted through the ceiling and walls.

No sleep!

Ok location. Front office staff handled my complaint well.

No air conditioning in bedroom. Hotel had heating on but the aircon in the room could not cool the room down. Window was open but tram noise never ended. Zero sleep as a result!

Location and underground carpark

Restaurant kitchen closed on Sunday, staff handled situation poorly, aircon in room doesn’t work, overcomplicated light switches, rooms within 1 booking were mixed up. LOTS wrong this time…won’t be back

Great hotel but much too warm inside

Great hotel, perfect location, good facilities

It was incredibly hot in the hotel. They have an innovative cooling and heating system that is environmentally friendly. It worked great during our previous stay, but this time, even with the cooling fully on we hardly slept because of the heat. Such a pity as the rest was great

Great location, big and comfortable room & beds, friendly and helpful staff, good selection at breakfast, clean, simple and modern style, amazing pillows. When in Basel in the future, this hotel will certainly be our choice to stay at.

Great Stay

We came some colleagues for a conference. The hotel was 2 min from the venue. The rooms were amazing. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. The room were cool, as it has ac (several hotel don't have ac). The hotel has a small gym. Breakfast was a buffet. Good quality and variety.

Easy to access from train station thanks to the tram. Friendly hosting with a room well organised at a more than correct price. 10mn by foot to most of key museums with different tram stations very close.

Disappointing stay

Room size, inner courtyard with garden, gym

Room is loud with passing trams (most rooms face a narrow road with frequent tram passage until late night), and important road works make the noise even worst starting at 7 am. Also room's air circulation is poor, steam from the shower hung about the room all night.

A nice hotel

the room was clean and cozy, I like the presentation of my room and how the electronical curtain was operated. Breakfast was amazingly tasted. The wifi was good and stable, and worth mentioning was, because the location of Basel is almost at the border of France and Switzerland, so I was contantly experiencing the problem with my cellphone internet, but luckily the hotel wifi solved my problem.

nothing seriously disliked, except the location for the hotel is not very close to the city center, but not that far as well.
