Peace and quiet with speedy links to the City

Great spacious room with lots of storage. Quiet location . Separate WC and shower / bathroom. Comfortable bed. Great location next to the Tram stop, transport card included with City tax.

Couldn't get English channels on TV. City tax is paid in Basel Land so couldn't get discounts in city museums.

Friendly place

It's a great place, it's very silent, far from the noisy streets and the receptionists were very friendly to us and they made an effort to attend to our needs. Great place to stay.

I didn't like that we didn't have mini fridges in our rooms and that one time the cleaner didn't come to clean our rooms.

Amazing hotel staff.

Hotel staff was amazing! Very helpful and so very nice.

Wish they had air conditioning and that their amazing restaurant had been open but it closes for summer holiday. Our fault, not their fault. We heard the restaurant was excellent.

Perfect stay for those who seek tranquility while visiting Basel

Overall clean and cosy hotel in a quiet area of Basel but easily access to the city as the tram stop is just outside the hotel. Perfect for a stay if you want to avoid the busy part of the city.

Great option for a city break - calm surrounds but easy access to centre

Great location, pretty building, right next to a very convenient tram line for the city. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great parking option.

Quiet area, friendly staff

Easy to reach city centre on tram which was free with the pass provided by the hotel. Good local restaurants and shop nearby.

Bed needed a headboard as the wall was grubby at bed head and room needed two chairs rather than one in the room. Lighting poor.

With easy tram access, it was a good bargain compared to downtown Basel hotels.

Our room was very clean and surprisingly large. Our bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is perhaps 2-3km from downtown but right next to a tram stop. The included Baselland card made taking the tram downtown super simple. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the secure bike storage was easy.

It would have been nice if there were a nespresso in the room. Also, our room happened to have only a single bath towel.

Good location. Close to public transportation.

Spiders web in the room. One wall socket was half way out of the wall - security risk! Slide door between bathroom and toilet was very hard to movile. It grinded on floor.

room had a strong hospital disinfectant smell although it was clean. opening the windows did not help. at about 160 euros it was expensive but I’m range for Switzerland

Perfect location for visiting Basel

The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had never been to Basel before, they assisted us in which transport to get into town, great sights to see, gave us very clear easy maps to use. The tram into Basel was really close to the hotel, which made the location ideal.

Exceptional

Nice little hotel, close to Basel city and not too far away from the motorway. Rooms are quite comfortable, with some antique furniture that is meant to refer to the castle next door. It is located in a small park where it is nice to have a short walk. The neighbourhood is also quite picturesque, with all necessary shops and restaurants a few minutes away. The parking is right next to the hotel, very convenient and inexpensive. Check in is super easy with the key left in the keybox. Good breakfast. The staff is welcoming and responsive. So I definitely recommend the hotel.

The wifi did not work the first night, but then the router was apparently restarted.

Great place to stay if visiting Basel if prepared to use the tram.

Location - very peaceful felt like in a small village yet only 15 minutes by tram to the centre of Basel. As a woman travelling alone it felt very safe - a nice neighbourhood.

No hot breakfast - cold buffet only quite limited. No bar or evening meal available- I travelled back into the city to eat.

Excellent mattress, pillow and bed linen. Quiet and beautiful surroundings.

Shower curtain needs to be washed- very dirty on the bottom. Everything else very clean though!
