Compare to the rest of the Rixos hotels around the world, this one didn’t reach those standards and we won’t be returning.
The views were amazing, spa was lovely and the breakfast was great however waiting for our room to be ready for 3 hours at check in (even though they had contacted us to ask what time we will be arriving to get the room ready) , emptiness and no decor in the hotel, no sunbeds on room balcony (just chairs) , the extremely crammed sunbed area, extortionate prices of food and drinks in the hotel bar and restaurant and the confusion of simply using the lifts, unprofessional casino with majority of machines turned off just all let it down for us.
Loved Dubrovnik, but not this Rixos hotel - we would strongly advise looking at other hotels first as we cannot recommend this hotel unfortunately.

We had an overall pleasant stay at this hotel, which has many strengths but also several areas that need improvement.
Positive points:
• The spa is excellent, very well equipped and enjoyable.
• The location of the hotel is ideal, convenient for visiting and exploring the surroundings.
• The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful, which makes the stay pleasant.
• The hotel is clean, well maintained, and offers good facilities overall.
Negative points:
• The wellness area would greatly benefit from the addition of a jacuzzi, which is missing for a hotel of this standard.
• The “park view” room we booked actually turned out to be a parking lot view, which was disappointing.
• Housekeeping staff starts making noise very early (from 8:30 a.m.), and despite using the “Do Not Disturb” sign (both on the door and digitally), they still entered the room twice.
• Pool sunbed management is poorly handled: it is nearly impossible to find a free one, as towels are left on them all day without the 30-minute rule being enforced. We even had to share a sunbed for two.
• The air conditioning in the room was extremely noisy, to the point where we had to turn it off at night in order to sleep.
• Upon arrival, the receptionist told us that our reservation was for one person, although it was clearly a double room with a large bed. She assured us this was not a problem, but no mention was made of any additional charge. At check-out, however, we were billed an extra €280, even though only one breakfast was taken, and only 3 times during the 7-day stay.
👉 Moreover, I had clearly specified in my booking that we were a couple (with proof of exchanges, see photo), which was not taken into account. A commercial gesture would have been more than appropriate in this situation.
In summary, the hotel offers some great features, but certain shortcomings and a lack of transparency in billing unfortunately tarnished the experience. With a few adjustments (respecting “Do Not Disturb,” better pool sunbed management, quieter air conditioning, and a fairer commercial policy), the stay could have been perfect.
