A lovely introduction to Croatia--spectacular sea views, and super helpful/friendly staff.

Our first night in the Dubrovnik Area was spent at Villa Orabelle, and it was the perfect spot/introduction to Croatia. The hotel is beautiful with spectacular views. The room was clean and very comfortable; and we truly enjoyed the beach down below. The other plus was that it was a lovely walk to the Old City. Terrific for our first exploration into the wonderful culture and qualities of Dubrovnik and the surrounding area.

The beach had been impacted by flooding and as a public space, had some trash alongside the pathway. Otherwise, what a spectacular spot!

Beautiful location, wonderful staff and outstanding food.

Everything! A stunning hotel in a beautiful location. Just 15 minutes away from the old town on foot and a quick hop back on the #4 bus (to avoid walking up the hill). The hotel was clean, the room excellent and the food, sublime. Having breakfast served at the table as you looked out over the Adriatic was so much nicer than wandering around a buffet. Breakfast offered lots of options, all of them beautifully cooked (the French Toast was an indulgent holiday treat) and also offered healthy options such as yoghurt and freshly blended smoothies. We dined in one evening and it was fine dining exemplified - a truly talented chef - every mouthful was outstanding. Lastly, the staff - they were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. When we return to Dubrovnik (and we will, it’s beautiful) we will book Villa Orabelle again - a very special place well worth every penny.

A real gem and highly recommended

The hotel is a small boutique hotel with only a few rooms. It’s high quality, with nice rooms, great outside areas and with two small infinity pools. The hotel is on the cliff top overlooking the sea. We ate breakfast and Dinner at the hotel and both were fabulous. In addition it is only a 20 minute walk to the old town.

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the hotel. If I had to criticise for anything it would be the ugly huge hotel that has been built next to the Villa Orabella, but of course that is nothing to do with the hotel I’m reviewing.

I loved it all. Decor was gorgeous, layout was perfect .. private in all the sections.. food was unreal and the staff were the nicest we have met on our whole trip. The location was absolutely gorgeous, the service was brilliant

Beautiful hotel, nice staff, but not the penthouse suite.

Staff welcoming and nice, facility beautiful and clean, location excellent, food excellent. We ate 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts and enjoyed the service. Proximity to the beach excellent and the walk to the old town was enjoyable and easy. Only thing was the penthouse suite we got was overpriced and not what we expected.

The furniture was spartan and the one chair not comfortable, no drawers, cheap hangers and not enough room for clothes. We had to live out of our suitcases. No place to unpack things in the bathroom, no place to make up. The soap dispensers almost unusable because of the anti theft configuration, which was not welcoming. I’m fine with all that in a low cost hotel but not for the premium price. We stayed at several places traveling around Croatia the week prior, so we had a comparison. The minibar too was spartan and basic. Also, please be up front about the ceiling height. My husband banged his head several times. We used the hot tub one time only and it was tepid, not hot.

The breakfast and location were excellent. The staff was suburb. There is a beach just down some stairs that is one of the best we visited during our stay in Croatia.

We had an ant problem in our room. I'm usually not one to complain but at that price point it was worth mentioning. We came back from dinner one night and there were ants in our night kit and travel toothpaste.

A wonderful 'luxury' stay in Dubrovnik

We were welcomed and given a tour of the property. We liked the option for two pools. for the most part the pool side was quiet (probablu not suited well for children) and there was always room. The breakfasts were exceptional 'buffet in an a la cart way'. The location was great, although we mostly stayed by pool side. The staff were attentive, kind and helpful...... in the restaurant, housekeeping, reception and poolside areas. We were next to Bellevue Beach which was amazing. The villa was very handy to Old Town and the bus service was very good. I used the spa treatment in the sister hotel and would recommend. We would stay again.

We liked it so much we would come back. But it rained one day and we were stuck in our room as there wasn't really anywhere to go around the property, it was made worst because our room was 'windowless. / translucent glass at a wall. Maybe a little expensive but we were there at peak time.

Breakfast was wonderful. Order off the menu and the food was delicious. Lovely wait staff. Location was great for access to old town and the view was spectacular. Loved the pools and the outside area.

A slice of heaven

The staff were extremely helpful with an amazing breakfast service every morning. We took the penthouse option so were treated to a balcony and hot tub. We were gifted to biscuits every day and the room service was excellent. Two infinity pools on site and ample loungers to soak up the sun. Villa orabelle was the perfect place for our honeymoon

Boutique small hotel with fantastic staff & wonderful views. We arrived on my birthday to birthday wishes and a lovely bijoux chocolate Birthday Cake to welcome me. Breakfasts are legendary and the evening restaurant is Michelin level dining but very good value considering the price of eating out in the Old Town - so make sure to eat in one night too.

We were staying in Room 12 and it was very hot & sunny with lovely double sun bed on our private terrace. However, we could not use the terrace as there was no shade. Ideally some retractable, small umbrella or part coverage on the pergola would have been the answer. Apart from that everything was fantastic.

Exceptional Stay at Villa Orabelle

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Orabelle and were lucky enough to stay in Room 12, which had a stunning view overlooking the sea. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying coffee on the balcony with that view was truly special. The villa was spotlessly clean throughout, and the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional—always ready to help with a smile. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, and the whole property felt beautifully maintained. There are two lovely pool areas to enjoy—perfect for unwinding with a drink or soaking up the sun. It’s also just a short walk down to the pebble beach and rocks, where we enjoyed swimming and relaxing by the sea. The location is ideal—about 20 minutes’ scenic walk to Dubrovnik’s Old Town, or a quick taxi ride if preferred. Highly recommend Villa Orabelle for anyone looking for a luxurious yet welcoming stay in Dubrovnik. Would definitely return!

We have been travelling Europe for over two months. The best accommodation by far! We loved the beach down below- magic, the swimming pool, wonderful breakfast and the friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed our room which had a beautiful view and our own loungers.

If I could think of one improvement, it would be an umbrella for our loungers outside our room. Otherwise perfect.

Highly recommended!

We booked 2 rooms for 2 couples for one night. The villa is strategically located near the bus stop and a supermarket. The villa indeed has a charming ambience with swimming pools and overlooking the blue Adriatic sea. The staff is very helpful to transfer our luggages to our rooms as there are steps to the different floors. We enjoyed the ala carte breakfast very much with the fantastic views. We also had our dinner at the restaurant and my friends are happy with the well-served meal. There is a complimentary bottle of red wine in the 2 rooms. Overall, it is a comfortable and luxury stay after 3 weeks in Europe!

The 2 rooms assigned was 006 and 007 at the same rate. However 007 is a very small room and it is difficult to place one big luggage and one hand luggage. Perhaps the management should review the room rate of 007 basing on a smaller room size.
