A wonderful stay in a charming Belle Epoque style hotel with excellent facilities and friendly staff

We received a warm welcome at the front desk and were upgraded to a river view suite upon arrival which was a nice touch. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas and all staff were helpful and accommodating. Special mention to head waiter Carlos who secured our New Year's Eve gala dinner reservation in the charming Petite Suisse restaurant within the hotel.

The mattresses were a little bit too firm. However, the facilities staff made up the sofa bed in our suite upon request, and the mattress was softer, ensuring a good night's sleep for which we were grateful.

Exceptional, beautiful, felt like an elegant home!

This place is purely beautiful, the exterior is grand and that feeling of luxury flows through to the inside. The room size was huge compared to the other accommodations. Our balcony looked directly into the town and the mountain view was exquisite. The shampoo and body wash provide is very exclusive which enhances the luxury feeling. The walk from the hotel to the shops of Interlaken was so nice and close to everything. The staff were wonderful, very warm and welcoming, the evening door knock from staff was so nice, they gave us a nighttime biscuit saying goodnight, giving a feeling of they genuinely care. The pool/spa facilities were great, very quiet during the day, feeling very personal. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the dining area was lovely. This hotel elevated our experience of Interlaken. Would recommend and would definitely stay again!

Historic and quaint Lucerne getaway hotel

Location was great. Staff was helpful. Sauna was out so I paid to use the one in the town which was great.

We had a great time in Interlaken and would happily recommend the Grand Hotel Beau Rivage.

The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. We received a room upgrade which was great!

The restaurant wasn’t to our liking but there were plenty of other places to eat within walking distance.

Lady of the lobby in the night super mean !

I forget my passport in the drawer of the room and when I call a few hours later the girl of the lobby not nice told me that she was sure not was in the hotel, that se doesn’t care I had my flight next day and she was mean, doesn’t want to the clean lady if she saw my passports anything !! I went to the police office to report my “lost” passport and then next day I call again and they had my passport in reception and I need to take a train 2 hours for pick up the passport next day because the same day the girl of the lobby told me doesn’t was in the hotel !!

Location and view of the river. Interlaken train station roughly 5 min walk or less from hotel. Quiet walking path following the river accessible from rear of hotel. Auto parking convenient at rear of hotel. Numerous restaurants, pharmacies, bars and shops are all within a few minutes walk. Lack of A/C is not worth a negative comment and is even common in the area, but it is worth noting / expecting if you are travelling mid-summer.

It is a wonderful property on the river bank, views are amazing & great value for $.

Breakfast was fairly GOOD as compared to many places I’ve visited, it was excellent. The restaurant where it’s served is beautiful—bright, airy, and inviting—and some of the staff were especially warm and welcoming.

Don't think of anything that really made me dislike the place. I would love to stay here again upon my next visit. It was fabulous really.

I wanted to run out if refund was possible and checked into Belleview or Belvedere hotel at lower co

The room given was for single person. They had bigger rooms but refused to accomodate us. The room allocated to us was the smallest and no bigger than a pensione foom. The carpet had dog excrement. I need a refund as we had paid for a better room for 3 nights.

Subpar stay when looking at the cost.

Only the location stood out.

First, I’m evaluating 4 rooms (booked four rooms). It doesn’t have 5 star standard to me personally, I would say it’s more of a 3 star hotel. The rooms are too small, the furniture is extremely old. Cleaning is bare minimum. I called and asked for a paper cup at one point and they said they would charge me for coming up to my room to give me the paper cup.

Aged hotel, but comfortable stay.

The hotel is within walking distance of Interlaken Ost station. Local souvenir shop and Coop nearby. Halal restaurant just opposite the hotel. Room is antique, sufficient space for 1 person. I stayed there during early spring. No need for air conditioning, just a portable fan and a heater. Breakfast has plenty to offer as a Muslim. I enjoyed staying here.

No ventilation in the toilet. Mineral water not replaced for routine housekeeping.

Location was very convenient. Breakfast and food in general was very good. The heated pool was a big plus.

Adequate but not enjoyable.

Location and nice old hotel with pleasant atmosphere

Staff attitude was indifferent. Laundry not returned on day promised. Power went out in our room and adjoining rooms and it took nearly an hour for someone to come and check the problem after a 2nd phone call to reception when we had heard nothing. We need to cancel our 3rd night due to flight changes and despite over 24 hrs notice no reduction in the tariff was given. Overall not what we would expect from hotels in this category.

Not worth the money or its five star rating.

Location was good and the staff especially Tatiana and Benny were spectacular. The only high point of the hotel.

The hotel room was dirty when we arrived, the breakfast choices especially for vegans was awful and the chef didn’t try to accommodate us at all. Check out policy was not great either and the rooms were infested with Silverfish.

The pillows were not comfortable, the triple rooms overlooking the river with a balcony were narrow compared to the double rooms overlooking the mountain and without a balcony

Unfortunately, I felt racism. She was an employee in the breakfast restaurant, and she was circling between the tables to meet the requests of those who wanted coffee with breakfast. And I said to her, “Can I have coffee?” So she looked and told me, “Sure.” I waited a lot while serving others, fulfilling their requests, and just looking at me. Then I decided to go out. And I passed by her and said to her, I hope you have forgotten my request only, no more, so her response was that she smiled. She was of East Asian race
