    The spa is overrated and doesn’t have great facilities, no jakozi and sauna area is very small. Otherwise, great location and helpful staff. Great breakfast selection

    Never have been this disappointed with the service at a hotel like here. From the start, with booking error to how the room management worked and how statements were changed between staff at the desk from night to next morning made the whole experience very stressful for us and took away the experience of being in such a beautiful city.

    Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend Our experience at the Grand Beau-Rivage Hotel in Interlaken was extremely disappointing and nowhere near what we expected from a hotel of this level. The room was dirty, outdated, and had a horrible smell. There was no air conditioning, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. We found bugs in the room as well as old hair, making us seriously question how thoroughly the rooms are being cleaned by housekeeping. What made the situation even worse was the customer service. When we brought our concerns to management and asked to be moved, instead of simply addressing the condition of the room, we were told we would have to pay additional money to upgrade to another room. We felt pressured into paying because finding another hotel at the last minute in Interlaken would have been extremely difficult. When a guest is given a room that is dirty, smells unpleasant, and has bugs, the hotel should correct the problem—not use the situation as an opportunity to charge the guest more money. For the price and reputation of this hotel, we expected a clean, comfortable room and professional customer service. Unfortunately, we received neither. I would not recommend staying here, particularly given the cleanliness issues and the way our complaint was handled.
