Great place to stay to visit Interlaken and nearby cities

We made base in Interlaken using this hotel to visit and do tourism nearby, and it was incredible. The staff were super warm and helpful. We also booked with the breakfast included, which was superb. The location is pretty convenient, around 15 minutes walk from both main stations, Interlaken West and Interlaken Ost. And, a +1 for my partner and me was that the place where they serve the breakfast is a Chine restaurant offering hot pot! If you didn't plan your trip well, and you are not sure which activities to do, next to the reception they have a stand with ton of pamphlets with all the activities you can do in the zone.

I can't think of any negative point. The place was great.

The single room was amazing! Really comfortable with everything you could need.

If you want to travel to all the mountains, you want to be closer to Interlaken Ost, but the nightlife around the accommodation (which is closer to Interlaken West) is very nice.

Reception staff with that young and pretty girl was not co-operative.

It was only the location which made me satisfied, since it was near to the market.

It could have been better in terms of mattress on beds. Two single beds were not comfortable to fulfil the requirement of one double room. We could not sleep together comfortably.

Good hotel if we just need a place to sleep for the night

The hotel is conveniently located near bus stop and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, it was also useful to have a common area to microwave food. We also paid extra for breakfast which had different choices.

The room was clean but we found a towel that was hanging on the bathroom door, dirty maybe from the previous person staying in the room, bathroom needs a bit of refurbishing. We also had to boil water in the kettle hanging on a shelf under the TV as there were no plugs under the table. Provided us with a portable aircon but was quite noisy.

Lovely staff, a great location, simple but substantial included breakfast and quiet room. TV had English channels and shower had great pressure.

A strong bright light from car park lit the bedroom at night so suggest block outs would resolve this. Was a challenge for a light sleeper.

Budget friendly hotel

The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. There’s a small dining area where guests can help themselves to a microwave, fridge, and various utensils. Breakfast is served on the ground floor in a spacious restaurant and was perfectly fine. The location is excellent — about 650 m from Interlaken West and 1.3 km from Interlaken Ost by foot, with supermarkets and shops close by.

Everything was fine overall, but noise from the other rooms was quite loud — hopefully this can be improved. The toilet and shower area felt a bit small, and adding toothpaste to the amenities would be a nice touch.

2 nights in Interlaken

I was worried about the stay due to the negative reviews . The Interlaken west train station about 10 mins walk away. Surrounding with lots of eatery . Breakfast was alright for us . Room was cozy and enough space for our 3 luggage. The shower jet was strong .

The toilet was rather tight space and only shower gel provided . The power points was rather challenging when we were using our adapter .

Interlaken choice

Interesting older style hotel. Flat though 15-to-20-minute walk from train station. Had a room just under the roof with a see-saw type window that flipped open for a mountain view. Pleasant staff were helpful. Shared space on a lower level with fridge, microwave, utensils etc is a benefit if you want to raid a supermarket and self-cater for a few meals. Breakfast in a large restaurant room was fine.

Amazing stay

Beautiful hotel in Interlaken. This hotel is very close to trains station and is walkable. Bus pass provided by the hotel was very convenient and bus stop is very near by to the hotel.COOP with hot food was also walkable. Nice break fast in the morning gave us great start of our trip.Also there is Hot Pot restaurant downstairs which serves delicious fresh soups. Receptionist was very welcoming and gave us all the tips and suggestions and was always willing to help.

Appalling staff

The TV with Netflix which we did not watch

Almost everything about our stay was dull, from the room itself to the overall atmosphere. Its central location was the only redeeming quality. However, the absolute worst aspect was the breakfast staff. Their rudeness was truly unprecedented; I've never encountered such unprofessional behavior. The incident occurred around 9:10 AM. Breakfast was advertised from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and I noticed the scrambled eggs were almost gone. I politely asked a staff member if they would be refilled, and she nodded. Ten minutes passed with no refill. When I inquired again, I was told to ask another staff member, who appeared to be in charge. This main staff member rolled her eyes and dismissively stated they wouldn't be refilling or cooking more eggs for us. Despite asking at least 15 minutes before the stated end of breakfast service, they disrespectfully denied our request. To make matters worse, both staff members then spoke in their own language, seemingly mocking us. This appalling behavior alone is enough reason for me to strongly advise against booking this hotel. I'm not sure if they behave this way with everyone, or if they were being racist towards us.

The compact yet comfortable space with the essential amenities such as coffee, tea, soap, hair dryer. The inclusion of a full breakfast with wide variety of breads, juices, coffees, cheeses, cereal & hot items was excellent. Walking distance to key local entities. 1/2 Hostel 1/2 Chinese Restaurant - Misdescription - NOT a Hotel - Don't Trust Booking.com

Location

This is not a hotel as described - it is a hostel with a Chinese restaurant. You actually go to reception in the restraurant and eat breakfast there. The smell of the Chinese food pervades the hostel upstairs. Heating was off even though it was 6 degrees celsius outside. 1st room had no curtain and no heating - they did change my room when I complained to booking.com 2nd room no heating - they did provide a tiny electric heater. The cleaner left my door OPEN ALL DAY as lock was broken and NO safe in room is provided They provide the bare minimum BE CAREFUL: Booking.com said to me it is 100% responsiblity of property owner how they describe the property. I left a day early and received a refund, but Booking.com informed me that a refund is only possible if property agrees - this hostel agreed, probably as I am a lawyer attending a conference and was very unhappy.

It was a great place to stay on a budget, with everything easily accessible. The people were amazing, the service was excellent, and the overall attitude was genuinely positive.
