Perfect winter stay! amazing views, kind staff, and unbeatable location.

This was my third winter stay at Metropole Interlaken, and once again, everything was absolutely perfect. The location is unbeatable, with breathtaking views that never get old. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful gesture of complimentary fruits and a large bottle of water, which was much appreciated. The lounge area is very cosy and ideal for working, and the gym is spacious, fully equipped, and excellent, one of the best hotel gyms I’ve experienced. Overall, a complete and exceptional stay. I genuinely look forward to my next visit🥰

Solid option in central location

Great location and view from the room. The single room was still nice and spacious, and the rooms were nicely updated. Right across from the main large park which is convenient when traveling with a dog.

There's ongoing construction work until roughly April 2026. Being on the floor above the work (5th), the construction noise was not exactly peaceful in the morning... But I am sure it would not be an issue on a higher floor.

The wonderful view from my bedroom window

Rooms were a bit stark. Lifts sometimes did not work - the keypad to call the lifts often did not work. On our arrival the receptionist was not friendly. 9 o’clock on a wet cold evening. She said there was no food and we could go down to the spa if we wanted a tea. Lifts didn’t work and she actually said “Well, it’s not my fault! It’s a big hotel”!!! The next day a nice man in reception went and got two kettles for us for our morning cup of tea, and so very helpful about working the lift. Everyone else was very friendly and helpful.

Great experience, location and competitive rate.

I liked the room layout, comfort of bed/pillows, fantastic view from the balcony, additional services offered by the hotel when i had to leave the luggage at hotel post checkout, friendly staff at the roof top hotel.

I was rather surprised there was no kettle or no way of making a cup of coffee..Its a pity. I also was taken a back when i was asked to sign a form on applicable deductions on wet floor which is rather surprising.

There is no keattle or coffee machines in the rooms, they asked us to go to the lounge but the coffee machines gives bad coffee truly

Lovely hotel in central Interlaken with great views.

The hotel room was comfortable, an adequate size, and ideally located in the center of town. From our window we watched two dozen parasailers land in the park across the street. We also had a spectacular view of the Eiger peak.

The room didn’t have a coffee maker, but that is a small complaint.

Decent Hotel, good staff, great location. AC missing.

Decent hotel, clean rooms. Location was great ! Car rental was just downstairs. Very near to Coop and most hotels and bars. Not too far from the train station , but you cannot walk to the station with heavy luggage.

In the summer its too hot. The room doesnt have a fan or AC. The ventilation system or opening windows is not enough. Some noise comes in if you are a light sleeper. It's time Swizz hotels invested in ACs when they charge so much. Its a developed country and a luxury destination , so not having AC doesn't make sense for a hotel.

Many trips to arra but this was first stay at Metropole. Was NOT dissapointed

Sometimes the tendency paragliding came a little close to balcony......their screams were very loud.

4 star hotel should have air conditioning as standard. Weather was very hot over 30 C and room became very uncomfortable during the day without any AC.

Location , staff and cleanliness

Placing the coffee machine at the fitness floor instead of keeping it in individual rooms which is more comfortable to the travelers. They need to inform their visitors about shuttle bus service which was excellent during confirmation of the booking

Most Disappointing stay at a Very Well located Hotel

View is Very Goods from Rooms, location

- Most unhospitable staff - reception staff for check-in is trained to be customer unfriendly - harassing - whatever was agreed by Hotel Staff M Tekin and Ruslan german was backed out and they wanted to create a charge for everything committed. - Interiors in Room is very old and Run down. - Had to call Booking.com customer service but even that executive was helpless and the restaurant manager in a rude tone , offered a paper plate as if obliging us after called by Booking.com - the dont like reserving rooms thru booking.com / any other services so they offer higher rate to them and dont offer service to their client and wanted us to pay 15 % extra for breakfast then their walk-in customers as we were booking.com customers. They have one of the best view in Interlaken and are located next to Most expensive Hotel in Interlaken but they are able to charge less then 20 % then their neighbours due to above and still the rooms are available in peak tourist season when whole of inerlaken is sold out Informed their counter staff on check-out but they are unaffected. Money wasted

Great hotel - location and relaxing

Location is perfect. Staff is kind and professional. Loved they have a spa and a terrace that you can relax on while watching all the paragliders land. Walking distance from train station if you are in decent shape. Otherwise, quick cab ride unless you are comfortable taking the bus. The bus stop is not right in front of the hotel but about a block away.

The refrigerator is shoved into a closet which makes the unit hot. Therefore the unit did not cool properly. Also, I fell and injured my knee. I needed ice and had to wait for the bartender to arrive to get it each day. The front desk would not get it for me and housekeeping never answered the phone.

Great location. Close to both interlaken ost and west stations. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Beautiful views of the Interlaken Hohematte park and mountains across. Room was spacious and clean. . .

Great hotel right in the heart of Interlaken

We absolutely loved the view from our balcony. Location was great. Peggy and Melanie at the reception were both so warm and welcoming. Also loved that there was free coffee and tea for guests anytime, and we were also given water for our day trip even after we had already checked out!
