The bed "situation" needs to be addressed.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location was perfect, the desk was helpful, breakfast was great, and the island is charming. I loved our room and the view. The island is perfectly situated for seeing the other islands (Madre and Bella).

The bed situation… horrible. Incredible hotel, unforgettable setting — but those beds? Truly awful. It honestly felt like sleeping on a camp cot from the 1940s — you could feel every spring, and because two twins were pushed together (as is common in Europe), the middle sagged into a deep trough. If your partner moved, you both rolled right into it. To make matters worse, the bed sat so low. Knees to the chest when sitting on the side of the bed and over a foot below the nightstands — When I reached for my phone, it literally fell on my face. The whole setup felt straight out of the 1940s. I can’t overstate how uncomfortable it was. Everything else about this hotel was adorable, which made the inadequate sleep that much more disappointing. I really hope they take this feedback to heart during their seasonal closure and invest in better beds.

Phenomenal setting! This is my fourth time to bring a group to Isola dei Pescatori and my second time staying at your beautiful hotel. I plan on visiting many times in the future. My tour company, Let It Be My Italy, as well as all my guests LOVE the beautiful island and truly enjoy your hotel. The staff are always accommodating and genuinely friendly. See you soon amici!

Staying and dining at this lovely and elegant small inn is a unique and intimate experience.

The breakfast was delicious with many home cooked local food. The dinner exceptional in a beautiful terrasse overlooking the lake and palace of isola Bella. It was a marvelous experience to stay on this island overnight when in the evening most tourists leave and the island is quite and private. The staff was extremelly pleasant.

Albergo Ristorante Il Verbano is hands down the most exceptional hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is excellent, the location is unbeatable, the restaurant is brilliant. I am considering having my wedding here! I would go back in a heartbeat. A truly can't miss spot if traveling through Northern Italy.

Magical - do not hesitate if you are considering it!

I loved everything about this hotel. Like the island - it is magical. The view/balcony from our room looked onto Isla Bella, the breakfast was scrumptious, the staff were very friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised that the room had air conditioning. The hotel supplied beach towels for taking a swim in the lake which we did several times just outside the hotel. This is a place you would stay at JUST to stay at the place it is so special. Daniela was amazing helping us arrange a way to the train station much earlier than we had planned due to a rescheduled flight and they packed a few pastries for us as we missed breakfast. We felt very cared for.

Really nothing. It is worth noting it isn't always convenient to be a ferry ride away from most things. We ended up with a cancelled flight and had to leave much earlier than we thought to catch our rescheduled flight which was tricky, so keep that in mind.

The view from the room & balcony was incredible. The breakfast was the best we have ever had on holiday!! Fresh towels provided when requested, private sun loungers with a great view of the lake and islands. Even the locals said it was the best hotel & restaurant

Bathroom needs updating but still very clean. With it being located on an island, all but 3 restaurants close at 5pm so you either stay at the hotel or pay for taxi boats to take you to other towns on main land

-the bathroom needs a refurbishment. there is only a very unpractical shower (especially with young kids) -there was quite some dust and spider webs in the room. needs deeper cleaning -the breakfast buffet is average (no fresh juice for ex, pre-cut cheese and cakes that look faded…) and not very hygenical (everyone touches the bread, the cutlery…) -the restaurant in the evening has no charm and ambiance and is food is average for the price charged. portions are quite small

The perfect escape

The hotel has a lot of charm and stunning scenery. The staff are very friendly and the food is fantastic. The island is peaceful and relaxing, the perfect escape! We would 100% recommend and plan on visiting again in the future. One of very few places that we would happily return to again and again. There are lots of options for day trips to other locations around Lake Maggiore.

We visited at the end of August / early September, so towards the end of the season - restaurant choice on Isola Pescatori was limited as the demand isn't there, which is understandable. However, we did always find somewhere to eat and the standard of food was high. Transport to and from the island after 7pm is difficult and expensive at this time of year as well, we assume the ferry boats run later in peak season, so isn't as much of an issue.

the quality of the service rather average some staff members super friendly and efficient (evening restaurant especially) but others not nice at all (even chewing gum while placing guests at their breakfast table), matresses not comfortable enough

Stresa nın hemen karşısında küçük bir adada konumu gayet iyiydi.Ama seyahatinizi planlarken adaya giden bot saatlerini mutlaka dikkate alın.

Kahvaltısının, restoranı olan bir otele göre çok daha iyi olmasını beklerdim.Kendilerine göre bir stilleri var sanıyorlar ama,İtalyanın hemen heryerini gezmiş birisi olarak söylüyorum,kahvaltıda yumurtanın parayla satıldığı ilk oteldi ve herhalde son olur.Bacon ve salam dünyanın her yerinde ince dilimlenerek servis yapılır,bunlar küp küp doğrayarak servis yapıyorlar. Bu bir stil değil. Bu yüzden akşamları otelin restoranını tercih etmedik.
