Perfect hotel for a weekend trip to Stresa

Beautiful renovated hotel with a very nice rooftop terrace and a beach club right at the lake.

Even tough the hotel was renovated a few furniture pieces seemed a bit outdated.

Enjoyed my stay for a short weekend good hotel and would rebook again in future.

Very good location and friendly staff. Easy to walk to numerous shops and restaurants. Only 5 mins walk to train station . ( but be wary of train times to Milan , not as frequent as you may think)

No irons or ironing boards in rooms . Electrical sockets could be more accessible and more in number , everyone has electrical devices to charge these days. Don’t like the showers with two doors that open and close at right angles to each other . Rooms with walk in shower and solid single shower screens are better .

Probably the best swimming pools in Stesa

Beautiful swimming pools (near the lake and on the roof) with wonderful views. Nice room. Tasty breakfast. Professional and smiling staff at the reception and nice cleaning ladies.

Breakfast is only until 10. And it becomes very busy at 9:30. The plates are not filled fast enough. So you can’t get omelette, water melon, etc if you come too late. One of the girls that serves cocktails at the swimming pool near the lake looks very unhappy/angry all the time. Pillows are hard and inconvenient.

Excellent relaxing time spent in a beautiful hotel that I recommend.

Style and cleanliness of the room and bathroom, swimming pools on rooftop and lake side. Very nice staff. Inside garage (parking). Excellent breakfast except one point (see below) with fantastic pistachio croissants. Only 10 min walking distance from restaurants and public boats for the visit of the Borromean islands.

Breakfast was very good with great choice of cheeses and fruits, good ham and good scrambled eggs however the orange juice was not good (typical flavor of the powder that is reconstituted in water). This is something that the hotel should correct because to me this is the only down point among the many upsides of the breakfast. The only other disappointing experience was the Cesar Salad we ordered for lunch on the rooftop. This was served in very small amount with almost no dressing and few pieces of chicken which seemed to come straight in plastic bags from the supermarket like the ready to eat salad. And this for 20€. This is truly overpriced. I invite the hotel to correct that. In contrast for the same price, the club sandwich with fries was very good and served in enough quantity.

Gorgeous hotel. Amazingly friendly and accommodating staff. Rooftop has incredible views. The pool by the lake is amazing. I recommend getting a spa treatment with Camilla.

Great location. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Waiter were excellent. We had 2 dogs, our room was very clean. Bellmen were very helpful.

The front desk help was a little weak. There was 3 or 4 people working at the front desk but we felt like no one wanted to help us. Once someone did, they were very helpful Skybar service was a little weak

comfortable enough although the room was small & the bathroom was far too small - great lake view

- the view from the room was excellent - the breakfast was very nice with lots of variety - staff there were very efficient - the roof-top bar was very smart and a great asset for the property

- we did not realise that the hotel was a tour bus destination mostly from Germany which meant crowded lifts and other facilities at many times of the day - the room was too small for a five night stay - the bathroom was way too small - there needed to be more lifts

If you want to visit a beautiful area and stay in an outstanding hotel, look no further.

Stunning view of the lake. The outdoor pool area was pure luxury and envied by all passing it! Felt like royalty entering the pool and politely asking passers by for room to enter! Full privacy by pool area. Room was spacious and the best shower I have ever experienced. Nothing too much for the staff. Outstanding views from the gym on floor six, the rooftop bar area and pool. Spa on floor six was free (need to book in). Salt Room so relaxing! Had breakfast outside a couple of times. Breakfast choice and service outstanding. The hotel was worth every penny and I simply cannot recommend enough.

Very little! Soft shut toilet seat and a couple of complimentary waters in the room each day would take it from a 10/10 to a 10.5/10!

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location on the lakeside in Stresa. Views to die for! Just short stroll to lots of restaurants. The swimming pool at the lakeside was gorgeous with plenty of sunbeds . The Sky bar, with its gorgeous views, was the perfect place to start an evening and , later on, finish the evening!

Everything was superb - from friendly staff, to great location, clean modern room with amazing lake view. Breakfast on the garden terrace was excellent. Enjoyed the beach club which was never too busy. Cannot fault La Palma!

Luxury building, nice views and lovely swimming pool at the lake

Breakfast. It doesn't match with the standards of the luxury building and hotel. There was no fresh orange juice, american pancakes were simply lying on a plate and cold, bacon was not available the two times I passed, 4 staff people were talking to each other (obiously not about work) and standing in the path, used cups and plates were not piked up during breakfast on the breakfast table. Breakfast was disappointing
