Lovely stay. Really pleasant hotel in a gorgeous area

Stunning building in a stunning location. We have booked one of the cheaper rooms, so was slightly apprehensive but room was lovely. Pool area was lovely also.

Bar prices were a bit steep We bought two small bottles of water that cost us €8. Seemed very excessive.

Great lake view

The hotel was fantastic with our dog. And he could join almost everywhere. Very welcoming staff. The seaview balcony is fantastic, the view from the room is out of the world, and we enjoyed several good wines and moments on it. Want to highlight the service mindness of the receptionists. Both for giving our dog a gift and for the great upgrade to a sea view room.

The value for money is so and so, but it is Stresa. The restaurant need to increase quality or lower the price. I felt that the restaurant options in stresa gave more "heart" and to a significant lesser cost than the hotel restaurant. I did not like that the 5% service charge was added to bill automaticly, as you feel obligated to "accept" it. (This US practice is not necessary in Italy or Europe for that matter)

Gorgeous, charming hotel in a stunning setting

Everything was absolutely outstanding, the charm, setting, rooms, facilities. All of it!

My only critique is around not having some small toiletries like lotion and conditioner in the room annnnd prices by the pool were a bit high, but that is to be expected

Great location on the edge of the lake. Excellent facilities and staff.

The accommodation was first class. Good sized bedrooms with large balconies overlooking the lake. The pool area was spotless and the pool perfect to cool down at the end of a hot day. Bar and food service at the pool good too. Prices reasonable. Staff friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend this property.

Position of the hotel, the staff were great, the room was great, the atmosphere laid back but professional, food was good and pool good.

Location and grounds were lovely.

We booked a last minute room at a good price but had no idea that meant we were in a back building attached to the main hotel. Room was definitely not as advertised and it was run down and very small. It also advertised a coffee maker that we had to ask multiple times for and pay extra for. Staff was not helpful.

Beautiful, spacious room with a sitting area. Side lake view but very beautiful. The bathroom is gorgeous and it was clear that space was used very well. Modern and clean.

Morning tea facilities should have been provided in the room. I have not known any four-star hotel without that. The airconditioning and the fridge did not cool adequately

Do not go to this Hotel

Nothing - we’re with our baby and room was super small, not suitable for a family. They tried to give us a new “bigger” room but that wasn’t suitable either way. Therefore we wanted to go away - but they didn’t want to give us our money back even when I sad I’ll pay 50% - they just charge the full 100%. Please do not go to this hotel

Pleasant

The room was quiet. The style of the hotel is excellent, nice furnishings. It has a good atmosphere and a pleasant smell.

The city can be approached via a hair-raising serpentine road. Locals honk at tourists who are unfamiliar with the location. Breakfast is overrated. We ran out of fruit at breakfast. No decaffeinated coffee. There are no slippers in the room. There was no kettle, tea or coffee in the room. We paid for a lake view, but it was covered by a roof. The water in the pool was very cold, so we bathed in the lake, which was much more pleasant.

-WLAN: one can only use 1GB/day in a auch luxurious hotel, it seems very limited for the guests -Noise: for someone who is sensitive to the noise, the soundproofing is really bad. The staff started throwing the glass in the morning and it was very disturbing. -bed: the size of the bed is very small and not suitable for someone who is taller than 180 cm.

Too expensive for not enough quality. A disappointment.

The staff were friendly (not their fault - they were doing their best) and the room was a nice size, with a good balcony and a super view on the lake (triple - lakeside).

The overall stay was a great disappointment and really not worth the price paid. We basically chose this hotel over other options (cheaper options) in Stresa for the indoor swimming pool, but the water was too cold, the pool room too cold and in general not inviting - asking reception to increase the temperature of the water had no effect at all (I'm not afraid of cold mountain lakes, but expected something different for messing about with the kids in a hotel). Other guests that we spoke to had the same complaint. The breakfast buffet had a large variety but the quality was not great, again especially considering the price. The bar area etc lacked interest and charm. Effectively this is a hotel set up for conferences and tour groups, but for "private" guests is very expensive for not that great quality. Better find something, smaller, closer to the center of town for much less money with a bit more charm and personalized service.
