Beautiful property with warm and welcoming staff
Going to centre of town is not easy as we have to keep to the the set times or pay for the out of hours request.

The location and view could not be beaten that was excellent. The staff were very pleasant & helpful & the boat trip we arranged with reception around the islands was exceptional,the skipper was lovely & took us out for a very enjoyable day.
Breakfast selection at the hotel was good but a few hitches in service. The pool was lovely & very welcome in the extreme heat. The grotto area had some problems though.
The hotel is beautiful over the top opulent Italian style,so if this is your forte this one is for you.
On site parking a bonus in this area.
The annex we were in was up a very steep slope with very awkward steps & we were told off for parking the car near the entrance of the annex to avoid having to walk up late at night. The annex rooms are in need of renovation,they are very tired & the bathrooms are very small & the bath almost impossible to get in & out of to use the overhead shower, if you have mobility problems do not book these rooms. The hairdryer was old,noisy & the nozzle did not fit,not what you expect from 5 star prices. There was just one mirror that was in the bathroom so getting ready with two people was not great. The breakfast choice was good but service was haphazard,I ordered a soft boiled egg & one day it was never received & next day it was left to get cold before I went to find it & each time I was told it would be served to me. So they need to get organised & decide if it’s served or collected.
The grotto area needs to be sorted out as well,the hot tub was scalding hot, in fact very dangerous to even put your feet in & the steam room was not hot enough,just warm.The rainfall area is really just a gimmick nothing much just different showers with colours & some noises,didn’t really achieve anything. The changing rooms is one room for one person with a very small shower which is difficult to get in & out of & a separate toilet,so not sure how several people could use it.
Sorry not 5 star from me apart from the location & view but 5 star prices all the same.
