Wonderful hotel in a beautiful location

Really friendly staff, great location on the lakeside with beach (and its own wonderful private swimming pool), brilliant restaurant serving top quality food. Lovely breakfast which was very good value. The room was a fair size , very clean and with excellent facilities (shower etc). Rooms on the lake side are much quieter and have the best views. Easy 1km walk to the village with its restaurants and supermarket. Dog friendly (there is even a dedicated beach next to the hotel for dogs !). Lovely walks in the hills and around the lake.

Amazing "oasis" hotel, beautiful location, top service and fantastic local Italian food!!

Amazing location, right at the Orta Lake! Fantastic dinner, breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel. Top quality service!! The owner was always present and very-very service-orientated and generous with the guests. This will be certainly our regular place from now on. Beautiful combination of mountains, palm trees, lake and fantastic Italian cuisine!! Fantastic for apero, as well.

Fantastic location (hidden gem) overlooking the local lake, had evening meal on restaurant terrace lakeside food/service was outstanding, reception staff fantastic/welcoming (good English) excellent quality and value. Worth noting Mergozzo is slightly away from lake Maggiore but quieter more intimate and much better value. Mergozzo is a fantastic place to spend a couple of days, also good for enjoyable overnight if travelling via Simplon pass, will stay again.

Access to our accommodation required a short walk along a road without pavement, no real risk for adults, but if I had a child/children would be of concern

Great hotel with a pleasant view

The view is superb. I took a room on the second floor with a balcony and enjoyed the view all the day. The restaurant in the hotel is quite nice with a lot of great food and alcohol options. The stuff is super nice.

Not too much choice on the breakfast, no warm options. Because the hotel is on the beach, it's not private beach though, so you will hear all tourists and their children from 8am till 8pm though if you close windows it's quite fine. The sink wasn't clean and I found hears. Waiters in the restaurant didn't make impression that they know something about wine. The exit from the building is directly to the road so you should walk with your baggage alongside with cars, also no elevators for the second floor. No knifes in the kitchen The WIFI didn't work on the weekend

Exceeded my expectations.

As the Hotel is not directly on Lake Maggiore, but a little way out, I was pleasantly surprised by its location overlooking Lake Mergozzo and also the quality and staff. I thought that the restaurant was a little expensive, but doubtless that would be more on Maggiore itself - however, the quality of the food was SUPERB !, the best meal I have had for several years - definitely worth a visit.

We stayed at the one-bedroom apartment annex. Very spacious, clean and it has all what we need. Very nice location infront of the lake. Grazie mille to the friendly Signore for inviting us for coffee & pastries. We would love to come back!

Wonderful for families with a nice playground and easy lake access.

The hotel was perfect for our family and our dog. We had a beautiful room overlooking the lake, and felt so welcomed and accommodated by the staff. Not only did they make special arrangements for our pet, but they treated us to extra waters and espresso as it was quite hot. Besides the exceptionally generous and kind staff, the room was really lovely and comfortable.

Great hotel at a great location

The location is great, just next to a small beach and a playground. This was very convenient for us having two small children. We could eat on the lovely terrace while the children were playing on the playground and still observe them. The food is fantastic. The hotel provided us an additional bed and a baby bed, so we could all stay in the same room.

Wie immer eine Freude nach Mergozzo zu kommen. Das erste Mal im 2015! Laura und Gianni sind so herzlich. Man merkt, dass Gastgeber sein ihre Passion ist. Lauras Küche ist ein Gedicht. Das Panna Cotta wohl das weltbeste :-)

Ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub an einem entspannten Ort

Sehr schöne, ruhige Lage in einem kleinen, kuscheligen Örtchen.

Der Zugang zu den Apartments liegt direkt an einer engen Straße ohne Gehweg. Wenn die Autofahrer schnell und eng an einem vorbeifahren ist es nicht ganz ungefährlich! Das liegt zwar nicht am Hotel, wenn jemand aber etwas unsicher oder gar gehandicapt sein sollte, wäre es aber wichtig zu wissen. In diesem Zusammenhang muss man auch sagen, dass die Ausfahrt von Parkplatz etwas unübersichtlich ist, rechts hochgewachsene Büsche und links die Hausecke des Hotels direkt an der Fahrbahn ist schon sehr herausfordernd. Zwar ist ein Spiegel vorhanden, jedoch sieht man nur die Autos. Roller und vor allem Fahrradfahrer (in Italien überwiegend Rennradfahrer) sind kaum sichtbar und es kann hier zu gefährlichen Situationen kommen, wenn man nicht sehr vor- und umsichtig einfährt.

Lage top, Rest naja...

Die Lage am See. Die Klimaanlage. Check-out erst um 11h. Parkplatz war top. Appartment war sehr geräumig. Die Aussicht auf den See ist grandios. Gutes Bad.

Tatsächlich einige Aspekte. Du kommst aus der Appartment-Residence und einen halben Meter vor der Eingangstür fahren dir die Autos über die Füße. Sehr gefährlich nicht nur für Kinder. Die Autos verursachen auch ordentlich Krach. Bei einem Preis von 338 Euro pro Nacht ohne Frühstück für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder gehen die beiden Auszieh-Sessel-Betten gar nicht. Für mich absolut unbequem und zu schmal. Frühstück hätte für uns 48 Euro gekostet und haben wir nicht getestet. Uns haben die alten Teppischläufer im gesamten Appartment nicht gefallen. Die Wiese zum See hin gehört nicht zum Hotel und Ruhe ist dort nicht zu finden.
