Everything! It wasn't what I had booked from the photos, we were put up in a grotty, unclean, unsafe, unfinished basement flat. Basically your worst nightmare if you have young children, we have a 4 year old. Literally the worst bed I've ever slept on. We left a day early and booking.com can't even get me a refund...as the property won't talk to them and there is nothing I can do. Basically I paid over £200 for a ruined trip to Bournemouth.

The only issue was lack of a hot shower. I never had warm water once but honestly the rest made up for it

Booking.com never replied to my customer service requests. The accommodation was terrible and not as described on the website. I left after two days and had to spend more money to move somewhere else. A disaster the accommodation and the service of booking.com. 1. Lower ground floor location and inadequate lighting We were very surprised to find that the apartment was situated at a lower ground floor level, severely restricting the light that gets to the apartment, even during the day time. There was no mention of the fact that the apartment was on the lower ground floor in its description on Booking.com, else we would never have booked it. Indeed, the picture accompanying the accommodation on Booking.com shows the building from the ground floor upwards, giving no indication that there could also be a floor below it. We consider this a serious omission on the part of the apartment owner as well as Booking.com, as it makes a significant and material difference to the quality of the property as a seaside holiday home. We expressed our reservations to the person who let us into the property (female, probably in their 60s) as soon as we got in, and called her to ask if we could get another apartment in the hotel that was above ground. She told us that she would let us know on Monday (2 days later). The lower ground floor location gives the apartment a gloomy and airless feeling, with very little natural light or fresh air getting through. Please see the images 1 Living room and 2 Bedroom attached. Even with the lights on, I think it must be self-evident from the images how surprised we were to find an apartment like this with no mention of its actual location being below ground in its description. 2. Poor fittings, furniture and decor We were also appalled by the poor quality of fittings and decor in the apartment. A few examples of this are shown on the photos. Finally, there were several features of the apartment that made it look decrepit and rundown.

The pungent smell throughout the building, stains on all bedding, mattresses and towels. The private bathroom for the family was located across the hall outside, where others could access it. The dining area was shared for all 27 people, so unable to arrange eating times for the children. Used frying pan with oil left in it by another guest and other cooking utensils not clean. The Garden was very small and not equipped for all guests. The road where it is located was filthy and we as a family were always disturbed in the evening by drunken people and drug addicts.

Nice self contained flat. Comfy bed, good self catering facilities.

Couldn't fault the accommodation but it was difficult to park in that area. The host had use of 6 car parking spaces in a neighbouring hotel and I paid for one for my whole stay. However, the spaces were very small, so that once parked there was very little room or no room to open the car door!
