stayed here for a show at the BIC, location was very good being literally just up the road. good for one night stay and affordable
walls were quite thin so could hear lots of noise.

Good location and was very cheap. Also had a microwave which was good for warming some pizza up.
This is not a high spec hotel but the price shows that. The coffee machine didn't work but that was a small issue.

Close to the beach and entertainment area of the town. WiFi worked okay.
December. I arrived in the rain and was very wet. At first everything seemed to be alright (4:22pm) but later that evening, the heating wasn't working. I reported it that evening (7:45pm), asking when the heating was coming on, but no response by the following morning (9:10am see photograph), so I went to the main hotel the next morning.
I asked another guest if their heating was working and they said 'No.' One of the staff arrived carrying a portable radiator for their room. I didn't wait for a radiator for my room as I was still wet and intended to check out a day early.
Also that morning, the drain in the shower tray was blocked and the tray started to fill up. I couldn't open the shower door as it would have let the water spill out over the floor. So, I had to wait in the cold for the water to very slowly drain out, so I could get out of the shower.
*Staff must check that the shower drains are clear before allowing guests into their rooms.
The TV was almost unwatchable as the signal on BBC kept cutting out.
With my clothes still wet from the previous day, I did something I'd never done before and decided to check out a day early and find a hotel with heating where I could get dry as I didn't want my stay in Bournemouth to be ruined.
I was also concerned that the hotel took my credit card details as a deposit, including taking the security number from the back of the card...
If I had read the reviews on booking.com about heating problems at the hotel, I wouldn't have stayed at Brooklands Lodge.

Location was fine
The smell was awful as in mold.
The blinds didn’t pull down or shut so everyone could look into us whilst we was in bed.
There was no shower screen/door on the shower so couldn’t shower.
In the hall way was a smashed shower screen/door which I can only presume is the one meant for our room.

The location was good and they provide a microwave.
However, there’s many other better Hotels around this area.
There was mold and spiderwebs everywhere in the room.
I stayed 3 nights and no one came to clean my room or change my towels.
Hygiene is very poor. And you can hear everything in the room. The heater was also broken and I had it replaced 3 times with broken heaters.
I had to waste my money calling them from my phone because no phones are provided in the rooms.
No idea why they ask for £50 deposit - they do return it
But there’s absolutely nothing worth £50 in that room.
In any case a discount should be paid for the poor quality and service.

Location for the beach , pier & town centre was fantastic.
Heating system was very noisy so didn't sleep well. The Signal for the TV was very poor so switched it off after an hour of constant signal failures. The shower was powerful but the drain couldn't cope and after just 2 minutes I had to switch the shower off for fear the water would overflow. It's an old building and there was alot of noise from the doors slamming . I told the lady on reception at check out about the issues who said she'd "look into it" - I wasn't convinced and there was no apology. Overall for one night it was OK but I wouldn't stay again.

Location
TV not working, floor boards horrendous,we must have kept those on the ground floor awake as we were on second floor

Close proximity to bic and pavilion. Reasonable price. Tea/ coffee facilities in room.
No towel rail in bathroom no where to hang towel, shower small. Hole in wall behind door. Very steep stairs up to the room. Room small but ok for 1 night might be worth saying to collect key from hotel across the road. Rather than saying few steps away. I assumed same side as lodge. So took a bit to work out where it was. .

Location was ideal walk from beach and town centre, greeted at reception and everything explained, always there to help, nice and easy to find room, and easy parking
I didn’t like the view as it was of steps as I was in the basement and didn’t appreciate the men up and down the stairs at 10pm at night, knocking on doors and in and out room

Position ideal for conference and beach and city. WiFi worked well. Coffee machine nice touch.
Small room but ok for one. Black mould in bathroom. Didn’t like the £50 deposit requirement (but auto refund did arrive immediately)

Check in time too early in peace summer?

The room, bed, sheets and toilet are clean. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach.
Bad communication. I kept emailing and calling with no reply despite emailing/ calling at check-in time. We ended having to book another hotel. See our emails please. On our last day, we woke up with a very loud smoke/fire alarm and we saw one of the ground floor room’s door being broken. While we were all busy trying to find out who to call (there was no one), a black guy tried to go into our room on the 3rd floor. I was scared for the safety of my daughter.

Good location. Very close to the beach
No hot water on arrival. Not ideal after a long drive. We all had cold showers. Room was in the basement which smelled of damp. Lots of mould in the bathroom. Not much natural light in the room. The TV fell off the wall. Staff were helpful but overworked

Great location, room was clean and well kept, decent coffee maker in room, lovely staff, free parking
Bed was a bit uncomfortable and building was creaky - fine for one night but wouldn’t stay longer
7.0 / 10.0
The location was perfect plus there was ample parking at the premise. I was given the room right at the front so not that many stairs to climb. Might I also add they allowed me to check in earlier than they wanted which was a super plus point for me as I was travelling from Scotland.
I can understand why some folks would dislike this hotel. Partially because the decor is slightly outdated and the bed was not the strongest, however for a couple of days stays in central Bournemouth and during peak summer holidays I thought it was great for the price. I must admit anything more than a couple of nights I would have struggled sleeping but overall it was great.

location
Repeated lack of hot water
Unhygienic bathroom conditions
Inadequate privacy
Broken and damaged furniture
Unprofessional and dismissive customer service
Issues Experienced:
Lack of Hot Water
Across our two-day stay, we experienced no hot water on four separate occasions.
On Sunday evening, we were told the issue would resolve after a system reset within 20 minutes, which did not happen.
On Monday morning, we reported it again and were told to wait another 20–25 minutes. This left us unable to wash or shower properly throughout our stay.
Damaged and Inadequate Furnishings
The cardboard divan bed frame on the window side was visibly damaged, with cut fabric indicating a previous attempt at repair.
The window handle was broken, making it impossible to fully close the window and block out street noise.
Privacy Issues
The ground-floor room faced a public street and had only blackout curtains with no netting or sheer curtains for daytime privacy, despite a curtain track being present.
Serious Hygiene Concerns
The bathroom was visibly unclean, with extensive black mould on both the tile grout and surfaces, indicating a long-standing hygiene issue.
General Disrepair and Poor Room Condition
The toilet seat was broken, and the cistern button was incomplete.
3 out of 4 ceiling lights were not working.
There was only one usable double socket in the entire room.
The upholstered furniture was in poor, unhygenic condition.
Lack of Basic Supplies and Poor Service
We had to request towels and toilet paper, which were missing from the room.
The property appeared understaffed, and the manager refused to take responsibility for the condition of the room, instead implying we should have reported each issue individually upon arrival—despite them being the responsibility of housekeeping and management.

Coffee maker was a new experience for me. Impressive.
No reception at the location but managed quite well. You are in the centre of town so arriving early is helpful as parking is limited.

It was ok but didn’t get much sleep
The noise from other guests started at 2am on Saturday night and went on until 5am , it was like some kind of mass gathering, wasn’t one or two it was definitely a large group.I personally would stay here again

The location was fantastic for the price you pay, beach was virtually on the doorstep. Also it was surprisingly very quiet. Coffee machine was in the room also!
The bed was too small, wasn’t like the photos. The shower head holder was broken so we had to hold the shower head to go for a shower properly. The toilet seat was also broken but we managed to fix that for future guests that stay (ideally should have been done prior).

Price
formally complain that, after receiving a confirmed reservation at the published rate, I was later phoned by your staff and told the price was “too low” due to an internal error—and that I could either cancel or pay the higher rate to check in. Despite explaining that this was not my fault, your team refused to honor the original booking and left me no choice but to secure alternative accommodation at a higher cost, as my family was exhausted upon arrival. This is unacceptable and I expect a full reimbursement of the rate difference.

Shower leaks something feirce and many towels were put down, signs of damp and felt a little run down
