Our stay was very relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

The building was beautiful and room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable.

The bar staff weren’t the most accommodating. And we weren’t provided robes in the spa which was a bit disappointing.

Pleasant and relaxing stay

Usual choice for cooked breakfast and usual cereals etc. Pastries could have been better

Friendly staff on reception. We stayed in a standard room which was clean and comfortable. A little on the small size with some dated furnishings. Small quantity of individual shampoo and soap provided. We did not use the spa or swimming pool. Good bus service to get into the centre and a pleasant walk down to the beach.

It was good location good spa apart from we cudnt use Jacuzzi which is one reason I paid extra for spa evening food was nice also

Lovely stay as always

Room clean and well stocked. We asked for a fan to be put in our room and it was. Food was exceptionally good.

Bed wasn’t very comfortable but I guess that’s persona preference.

You get what you pay for and less.

Spa team were lovely and the spa itself was great as the spa manager took care of us all and the pool, lovely guy great interpersonal skills Food was nice too.

The toilet didn't flush from we took the room. After informing reception manager who explained its a new toilet and to give it time to flush lolol In the end my partner had to open the covering and flush manually everytime. We stayed as they didn't have another room and my partner wanted the spa facilities and travelled fro france for valentines day. I wanter to book somewhere else and stayed because of the spa. No fridge in the room we had a deluxe double and assumed it had one like most modern hotels, It wasn't modern obviously.

amazing peaceful retreat

Very calm and quiet location, very clean hotel, amazing bed and sufficient space to sit down in an armchair to have a cup of tea without feeling crowded. very good spa facilities ( I fell in love with the Jacuzzi) especially the aromatherapy room and relaxation room- really did help to ditch the stress. I recommend you go early for the spa room it gets a bit crowded after 10.30. Best of all was the incredibly pleasant staff,. What a nice bunch of people, always trying to help you! It's also very easy to get to the hotel via bus (get the M1 bus for £2.70 form the train station) and get off at St michael's roundabout. i have mobility issues and found the trip very easy.

cooked breakfast was plentiful but just average. as i went for a spa retreat i did not want to leave the building so happy to have had it. However if i go again i would just skip it and go for one of the local cafes (plenty within 5 minutes walk) The menu served throughout the day is reasonable and decent but its a shame that room service is not offered - it could be a little plus for those who like me prefer the quietness of the room I cannot find anything else, everything else was perfect!

A wonderful weekend.

Hotel has a unique English charm about it! Having stayed in many glamorous five star hotels all over the world, I immensely enjoyed my weekend here, in spite of the place being a little tired and neglected in part. This was easy to ignore. The beds were extremely comfortable, facilities were good, staff incredibly friendly and willing to accommodate, and the breakfast was absolutely exceptional! A wonderful weekend.

It looks like the Spa is being updated in phases/pieces. Certain areas i.e. like the area around the water machine were absolutely filthy. There was also a lot of dust and grime around the lockers there.

Great stay at West Cliff hotel and Spa

The dinner package included was excellent value for money this included 3 courses . Breakfast was excellent as well . Rooms were large and comfortable . Shower room was a good size . Staff were very helpful and friendly . Good location for the M1 bus into town . Lovely toiletries

Even though it was February the hotel was just too hot for me . This was with heating turned off in my room . Bar prices were very expensive . Some of the added extras didn't make sense . In dinner package say you didn't have a pudding you would still be charged if you just had a coffee . The lighting in the room was not adequate for my needs especially the desk light .

The restaurant was nice and pleasant. The steak we had was good. Staff were friendly.

Although it recently had £2.5 million spent on it. There were a lot of areas that were tatty and worn looking. Some areas were a little dated. I wouldn’t rate it a 4 star, but a good 3 star. The bathroom in the room had an awful lot of rust on the radiator, around the sink was dirty, the drainage of the sink made a continuous noise for ages. The shower wasn’t great. The bed wasn’t terribly comfy and the decor looked tatty. The walls are very thin and you can hear a lot. One of the rooms was making a lot of noise having a loud party and we could hear it all, however the night porters did deal with it immediately. The decor in the corridors leading to the rooms was also dated, wood chip on the wall (Must have had Pulp stay 😂). The breakfast certainly wasn’t 4star. The range of fresh fruit was very limited, one of the coffee machines didn’t have any coffee beans in at all and whilst I was getting a coffee from the other one of the servers opened it to fill the milk up and stopped my drink from being made!

Good location, only a short walk to the town centre. We had a standard double room, which was a decent size. The staff were excellent and very friendly. We got a really good price for our stay

Great choice of breakfast items. The location is great for walking into town. The staff were great. The room was clean.. the spa was a great addition, also the swimming pool with a gym.

There was no power point for the charger for my electric toothbrush. The shower didn't let out that much water. There was a bodily fluid stain on the mattress when we pulled back the mattress cover. There was no entertainment

Lovely Hotel but with its average flaws.

Breakfast was lovely, rooms were nice and there was a free swimming pool for use.

The shower hose needs a serious update, there was no strength to the water and the temperature was also very hard to control. I had a bath but the temp of the water was too cold to be enjoyable. When cleaning the bed of its sheets I saw the state of the mattress and it was disgusting. There was an issue with the main light in our room, it would flicker for 5 seconds before turning on which wouldn't be good for anyone prone to seizures.

Don't go for the spa

The room was ok

I wasn't able to check in an hour early, so instead I said I'd utilise the spa, which I then found out wasn't included in price so I had to pay for. The spa facilities were shocking. The steam room had no steam, the hot tub was warm at best and the suna was so dirty and parts of it had been replaced with decking wood!! It was my birthday treat to myself to stay in a hotel with a spa and the facilities and "computer says no" attitude of the staff ruined that for me. I'll not be back to either that hotel or the chain it belongs to....

Our allocated bedroom needs a handrail, in the bath area, as you need to step over the bath, to shower. The shower was poor, as it wasn’t very powerful and old. The noise from all the pipes below the window was a little disturbing.

Super hotel with brilliant spa at a great price for a central location

Booked a superior room, great size and very comfortable. Was very surprised at the excellent spa facilities... came away from the break very relaxed and rejuvenated... brilliant place to stay and we'll be staying here again in the future for sure.

The location was very central with ample parking in 2 pay and display carparks and free.on thr street if you can find a space. Breakfast was very good and beds were comfortable.

Floors are a little creaky which must be annoying for people below us. Carpets are a bit tired.
