Convenient location

Shower drain was blocked on my first day but owner did sorted it on the next day. And lots of hairs in the shower room floor. Shower took so long to warm up. I have a whole morning that shower was cold. The hot water only came in the afternoon. It was so annoying that I couldn’t have a shower that morning as there was no hot water. This happened once.

Mega cheap - for a reason!

Super cheap and in a perfect location for our visit to the BIC for a concert. Beds were quite comfy so we all slept well. And great to have 4 beds in a room so us girls could stay together. Shower was hot and powerful. Kettle worked.

Genuinely wouldnt recommend this as anything other than a really cheap place to crash after a concert with some mates. Even then, take your own towels and a bottle of washing up liquid! Definitely not somewhere for a 'nice' getaway and not somewhere I'd want to stay on my own or with anyone vulnerable. No staff around- we only managed to get in at all because someone came out while we were on the doorstep. After being shown to our room, there was a complete lack of customer service as there was no one around (despite searching the premises for a member of staff) and they wouldn't answer the phone or return a voicemail. The cups and some of the towels provided in the room were still dirty, despite being presented as ready for us to use. Bedding had been washed but had some shadow stains still visible on them. Curtains were falling off the rails, literally. We had to use a hair clip to hold them closed for the night. Walls and floors have all seen better days, many years ago though! This was a really really cheap stay, so we weren't expecting luxury at all! But we did expect the place to be clean and not to be locked out on arrival.

Disaster. Do not stay here.

Location was good. Easily accessible by bus from the train station.

Everything. Staff were non-existent, room was filthy. Hair in the beds and towels. Blood and piss on the toilet seat. Blinds hanging off the windows, beds falling apart, no shower soaps. Leaflets about child trafficking on the reception desk. We should have read the awful reviews on Trip Advisor before booking. We left after the second night to go to the Holiday Inn.

COULD BE A LOVELY HOTEL

The gentleman on the desk was very polite and welcoming

On arrival we met a lovely gentleman . But unfortunatly the hotel was far from a delight . 11.45pm we came to our room for the night . To find dirty bed linen so had to take the quilt out of the cover due to ( blood ) on them The curtains would not close . Room was very cold . I would not book this hotel again

Our stay at this place was very horrible, will only come back if the above things change.

Breakfast was not included. Did not offer option at the hotel. Door entry was wrong code, stuck outside for sometime. No one cleaned our room in all the time we stayed there.

Fresh bedding, no headboard. Bin not emptied. Someone playing constant music, very load. Sometimes it felt like someone is banging on our door. Did not sleep very well. We stayed away all day, until night time. Music going on all night. Only stopped around 7am

Location was brilliant, 5 beds in one room was great as a family of 5 we struggle to find it.

We stayed for 3 nights and no way of getting sand off the floor.

Not very clean. Dirty walls in my room (106) No breakfast offered despite what the website said. No remote control for the TV and when I queried it was told "oh there isn't one in 106." No offer of changing room, or trying to resolve it by changing the TV. Bathroom was not clean. No lamp! Described as a hotel with a view. Welll, yes. A view of the road or a fire escape.

The location, it was about 15 mins from the centre

The room had unmade beds, dirty towels, toilet had dirty toilet paper down, hairs were all over the room, even blood on the bed. When asked the receptionist about this they came up to check and said ‘this is perfectly fine’

The shower head popped off and shot water everywhere soaking all of our things we had in the bathroom. The shower door literally fell off, so not pleased that it could have hurt someone if they weren’t paying attention. The carpets weren’t hoovered. There was left over debris in all the drawers like dirt and oatmeal?? The beds were… fine, but considering it’s meant to be a family room, not very big and definitely not worth the price. Doesn’t help the windows were filthy aswell

hotel was not! Staff were very concerning on arrival and questioned everything! No remote for tv WiFi turned off at a certain hour! Kettle was broke took 45 mins for someone to respond! And when the new one arrives it was full of limescale and dust! Spoon was not clean and had ketchup from last persons stay! Absolutely gross! Windows do not close properly bathroom had hair in the shower from last persons stay. Do not recommend this place to anyone DO NOT STAY

Absolute hell, avoid like the plague ...

Location was ok. Was able to walk to town and the beach.

Horrendous staff. Alice on reception is actually the owner. When we complained about our stay she told us she could do nothing as she was just the receptionist. She lied. Beds uncomfy, filthy bed valances, hairs in the beds. Bathroom floor filthy Floors so thin you could hear every footstep from upstairs. Ended up not being able to sleep as every bang in the hotel made me feel so unsafe with my children. Sick on the front step in the morning, even though we reported it noone dealt with it for up to an hour. And when they did, they just threw water on it. Told Alice all this on the phone and said who do we talk to about a refund, she laughed and said "I don't think so" about the refund. She then refused to answer the phone to me. The night worker then tried calling her as he said it was so noisy that night he had not slept either (tried to blame my children to which I explained it was the people above us). He asked if she would talk to me, she refused so they then had an argument on the phone where he called her arrogant for not talking to me. He then told us how awful she was as an employer and how he wasn't well and she had been hounding him since 6am. In all honesty it was hell and we are still awaiting her to refund the money from a our horrendous stay.

Don't waste your money

Nothing. The room STANK of urine, and we were told by someone I can only assume worked there that a tramp had pi**ed all over the bed, had to be removed by the police BUT its okay because they changed our mattress.

The whole experience. The whole hotel smelled like cigarettes , the curtains didn't shut, there were no little shower gels /basic things hotels should have. Bed was so wobbly with slats randomly drilled in, carpet was wet , stank of urine, bedding dirty

Poorly maintained and run down- give it a miss!

Good location is about the only positive thing I can say

Bed was broke, tv was broke, it was smelly and just didn't feel clean. Everything flimsy and falling apart. The shower was dirty and door hard to open, kids could quite easily get burned in there. Worst hotel, I've stayed in and can't say it was even that cheap to justify the poor quality.

I absolutely do not recommend it

I liked that the building has its own history. And that's one thing

It's the first time I felt so uncomfortable in a hotel. From my observations I have the impression that the people who live there are locals who look like they have a drug problem. The hotel is noisy most of the night. It's a disaster. I was there for two nights only because the reservation was non-refundable. Now I know why. I don't recommend it. I have never seen such a dirty hotel. It's a pity that the number of photos is limited because these are just a few of them.
