Everything about our stay was excellent. The host was exceptionally kind, warm, and genuinely friendly- easily one of the most welcoming people I have ever met in any accommodation. Arriving at Christmas made the experience even more special: he was incredibly thoughtful and even gave us a Christmas gift, which was a lovely and unexpected gesture.
We had originally booked a smaller room by mistake, but instead of pointing it out, he kindly upgraded us to a standard room free of charge, saying it was a “Christmas gift.” The room was comfortable, clean, and well prepared, and the atmosphere of the place felt calm and welcoming from the very first moment.
Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. Everything went smoothly, and the host did more than could reasonably be expected
so, nothing ------------

The room was clean, comfortable, and well laid out, with enough space to relax. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet, which made for a good night’s sleep.

Perfect location! Perfectly clean! Room was lovely and had everything we needed! Lovely tea room and separate lounge we could use!
There was nothing at all not to like!

The room was quite compact but we were only staying for 2 nights so this was fine. All the facilities in the room were fine, shower etc., kettle even a little fridge. 10 minute walk into centre but there were bars and eateries nearby. So, very happy

Was spotlessly clean, everything worked well and the bed and pillows were super comfortable
The lack go somewhere to put my case - ended up balancing it in a small table in the room.

Location was great, owners were very helpful and friendly.
They provide some snacks and crereals for breakfast, but richer breakfast options would be good.

The staff was very friendly and sociable. The location is great as it is very close to the beach and right next to a street full of restaurants. The hotel itself was very tidy and clean.

Location was great and the room was nice.
The owner spent a lot of time just going over rules, like he did not want to be disturbed during our stay. It felt a bit like the first day at Hogwarts. He was not rude, and other staff members were nice, but it just would be nicer to be more warmly welcomed rather than going over rules multiple times as your first impression. Also, we had no access to the balcony, which was a shame.

Great location and on a bus route for those without a car. Paul and the team were charming and provided a very adequate light breakfast or cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit with unlimited tea and coffee. The room was spotless and more than adequate for my short stay.
My single room was quite small so for anyone with a large suitcase floor space would be a slight issue.
10.0 / 10.0
The room was cosy and clean, with a single comfortable bed and pillows. TV, Drawers, side table and lamp also provided, with somewhere to hang clothes. The fan was also appreciated during my previous stay when it was incredibly hot. Having a fridge in the room was an excellent bonus too. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked. I also really appreciated the friendly host Paul providing me with some breakfast items to have in my room, as I was up and out too early each morning to use the breakfast room. Location in regards to the beach is excellent. Thank you for a great stay!
Only a tiny thing - the light in the hallway was quite bright at night, and so shone through under the door. I blocked it with the spare pillow/blanket, so not a big issue but thought I would mention it.

The Hedley Townhouse is somewhere between a (good quality) old fashioned B&B and a hotel, run by hard working couple Paul and Carmen. We had three nights here in very warm weather, a ten minute walk (via West Zig Zag) from the sea – which in early July remains cool and fresh even when the temperature in the sun is in the high 30s. Our room was not large but it had everything we needed – comfortable bed, small fridge, chest of drawers, table and chairs, decent hanging space with good wooden hangers, a TV and en-suite bathroom with a good shower. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Bournemouth pier and also to a bus route to the station or to Poole (Brownsea Island well worth a visit).
Breakfast is in a proper dining room with serve yourself cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee. There is also a reception room where you could sit – if you had time – we didn’t!
Paul and Carmen friendly and open. Happy for you to take food to your room. There are a lot of eateries nearby, a small supermarket and a pub (The Hop Inn) with good Sandbank bitter. We had an excellent meal at the Sakura Terrace, a two minute walk from the Hedley Townhouse.
We would gladly stay at the Hedley Townhouse again. What we noticed in Bournemouth was a lot of people having a good time – mostly being nice to each other! Paul and Carmen fit into that vibe.
Room could have been a bit bigger - there are quite a few stairs -and the fire exit would be down the main staircase (we did not put this to the test!)

The location was perfect for the BIC Centre and town Centre. We came and went when we wanted. Room was very clean, no air con but was fine, a fan was available.
Only problem we had was that people sat out on the Friday night below us. I think from a different property, they were very loud and then arguing late into the early morning so sleep was hard.

Very good location, close both to seaside and city center. Our hosts were very nice, room was clean and comfortable and we could have unlimited coffee and tea all day.
During the night there was a noise which make sleeping with opened window impossible (people shouting, watching telly very loudly).

Correct staff, decent bathroom
No soundproof rooms, I couldn't sleep all night (but really all night) as in the room above mine somebody was walking up and down in this 9feet long room and the floor (or the seeling) it creaked like it was going to crash over me in any moment. You can hear everything what's happening in the hotel, really everything
No hairdryer in the bathromm
No reception, no staff after 7pm (or maybe 9pm but anyway)
