There are better places to stay in Bournemouth

Main hotel was lovely, pool and spa was also great. Lovely to see aircon in room that worked. It was lovely sitting in front of open fire with a coffee, the bed was quite comfortable allowing for a good night sleep.

Decor in the Lodge was shabby, room was poorly equipped and TV didn't work, no iron in room, and obviously not thoroughly checked as dress left in wardrobe from previous occupiers. Sliding door to bathroom was not fit for purpose.

Nice location and nice facilities.

Stay extremely unhelpful and failed to let me know they had a wedding party going on until early hours in lodge where myself and son were staying.

Outstanding Stay

We had an outstanding stay. An upgrade on arrival made it wonderful. We took our adult children and they were blown away. The beds are extremely comfortable. Reception staff are so friendly. It is the best hotel in Bournemouth. Its our second stay already this year.

Great location and the room was comfortable but needs an update

Great location for walking to the beach or into town. Comfortable suite. Lots of room. Bed was comfortable. Quiet location. Parking available at a cost. Breakfast was good and there were a lot of options included.

Pretty run down. Stairwells very run down and dirty. Very dated. Lift wasn’t working. Front door wasn’t working. Side door was just left open so anyone could’ve got in.

Location was handy for visiting the BIC. The breakfast was lovely, well laid out, plenty of choices.

Tired decor, rooms need a serious uplift. Strange sliding door on the bathroom, replacing the original door. Shower curtain over the bath on a curved ceiling rail, giving you a tiny space in which to shower. Just put a screen up or better still do away the baths. This is 2025. The hall light was on all night , shining under the door and no way to block it out.

Good location to BIC

Good sized room - comfy beds but seemed a bit dated, needs updating in the communal areas. Breakfast was a buffet style breakfast with some options.

The breakfast room didn’t have enough tables to accommodate the amount of guests so we were placed in a different room away from the breakfast set up.

We would definitely stay again. The hotel was clean comfortable and warm and the facilities were excellent.

Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. The decor was lovely and well maintained. The facilities in the Connaught Best Western Hotel next door is a 2 minute walk across the car park or through the garden/courtyard. We loved the pool. You will need £1 coin for the lockers and get towels from reception. All areas were clean and tidy. The location is good for exploring Bournemouth shops and beaches. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The only downside to our stay was the breakfast. We only booked breakfast on one of our days as i wanted my granddaughter to have that lovely experience of coming down for breakfast and choosing whatever she wanted. Disappointingly, the cooked breakfast was barely warm. Yes it was buffet style so you make allowances for that. It was a shame as the produce used appeared to be good. I appreciate that we could’ve just caught it at the wrong time or an off day.

A good for a relaxing stay ? Well run hotel.

I stayed back August , my second stay in this hotel . The staff are incredibly helpful and the hotel is really cosy and relaxing. Front desk staff and the caretaker were very helpful when I bicycle problems . The spa facilities are a bonus . The hotel is a short walk to the beach.

The customer service was exemplary. Staff did their utmost to make things happen. They were attentive and went over and above.

The beds are too soft and the bathroom shower pressure was so weak I should have washed with a bottle of water, that would have had more pressure. I had expected that every room have an iron or that there were enough irons should there be demand for them.

Breakfast - dirty plates that were too hot to told. When I asked for a napkin to hold a plate I was handed a dirty napkin from a table. The hot chocolate as horrible. I did enjoy the granola and yoghurt.

Clean room with AC. Lovely full English breakfast. Wonderful pool. Easy location to the beach. Staff very responsive on messaging prior to the stay.

Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. The Leisure Area was really good. There was a car park which we could use. Short walk to the beach and town centre 10-15 minutes.

The lodge was dated compared with the main hotel and rooms small. The cleaner turned up really early in order that she did not then have to clean the room as we were not actually up yet.

Expected better quality for the price.

We stayed in the lodge area and it was a bit tired looking and outdated. Staff were nice . Pool and steam room were good.

The door to the room could easily have been opened was very poor quality. The room itself was very tired and outdated for what we paid expected a little more luxury. Restaurant and bar prices were very inflated. Breakfast was average exactly the same food on offer every single day so it lacked variety. The lodge side was like the hotels annex and a bit like it's poor relation a little forgotten.
