Texted me at 11pm when i booked, i informed them i would be arriving later due to travels.
No one answered the phone or the door after multiple knocks, rings and buzzes! Rude staff rang the next day to say they dont allow check in after a certain time.

It was a really good sized room, clean and the staff were very helpful. We also brought our four dogs with us at no extra charge, which was great.

Great location very near dog friendly park and beach. Free car parking but only 3x spaces that we could see. Dogs stay for free. Karaoke on a Friday night and Love Music on a Saturday night. Food starts at 8am with an all day breakfast. Food served till 9pm. Great pub grub.
Bedroom & Bathroom were a great size & pleasantly surprised us - very good for pub rooms. Bed & pillows very comfortable and everything was sparkling clean and a fabulous & friendly cleaning lady.
Staff are great.
They showed the rugby in the pub.
We stayed in room 12 & you can hear the music but didn't bother us.
We will be back.
Vegetarian sausage was disgusting. Pressure in shower was a tad weak.
The bedroom was incredibly warm so we had the window open all the time and room 12 faces a main road so some car noise. Also the window rattled all night which was annoying.

Food very good, room very comfortable and clean, shower big enough to take a large smelly dog in with you 😋
My dog had an accident on the bed and they charged me £100 to wash the sheets. I was expecting £50, but I thought £100 was a little expensive for a bit of wee. I couldn't afford to take my grandma there haha 😂

Bed comfortable.
Showroom good.
Only 3 car spaces available- not clear on website
Could not make the room warmer. Max heating was still cold .it was a very cold day outside.
Only one power socket. Far away from the bed.
Drain outside that constantly woke me up. I was told its been an ongoing situation for a very long time. A different room should have been provided. Disappointed to have suffered through it...

We paid, saw our room and left. The front door key opened our room so wasn’t safe. It made us feel uncomfortable

My room was lovely and spacious.
Could do with more accessible plug sockets
The bed was comfy and clean.
I was able to complete my work with free wifi.
Fab shower
Staff were friendly and helpful
Sadly my room was on the main road and there is a manhole cover that every time a car drove over it made a load noise, which made me struggle to go to sleep and then if I woke and heard it again struggled to go back off.
Some wall paper pealing in the room and the shower door was broken, so didn't close properly.

Cannot remember his name, but the guy who checked us in and was at the bar was really helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us great directions and recommendations.
The breakfast was tasty could tell that the ingredients were quality and it was cooked with care. A must for anyone staying.
The parking was a problem, moved and lost our spot. Not helped that here was a concert and parking in the whole area was limited. Able to wait and fine one a short walk away.

Comfy clean beds, decent bathroom facilities. One member of staff who kindly went out of their way to try and fix a problem. Great location close to the sea front.
Talented band playing at the pub below
Very broken kettle with no electric safety sticker. Broken drawers. Really dirty tv controls. Irked attitude of first member of staff approached about the kettle - made it clear he was really too busy and not happy to have to deal with us.
Very unclear about parking - 3 spaces only, then a lottery on the surrounding roads. The way Booking.com mentions parking makes this even less clear.
No mention of how intrusive the live band would be in the rooms (floor actually vibrating with the beat and drowning out the tv)or that there was a band that night to manage our expectations.

Location was great and staff friendly
Very noisy during night. Room very small and breakfast was not what expected. No option for continental breakfast only cooked and limited options asked for poached eggs was told only fried or scrambled. Had to ask for orange juice as none offered.
Breakfast came out very quickly after ordered indicating was precooked so not very impressive.

The room was modern, spotless and comfortable. Although a pub, evenings were quiet and did not disturb sleep.
More coffee sachets could be provided in the room. There was only one 'full' coffee and one de-caf. I normally have a couple of coffees to face the day!

It was a nice spacious room and really convenient with the pub downstairs for breakfast and a couple drinks before bed. It’s a nice walking distance from the pier and the centre.
The pub was a little bit loud on the Saturday night and parking could be a bit of a struggle if you don’t arrive early.

The Hop Inn was in a good location & staff were friendly.& helpful.
Although we managed to get a parking space, onsite, these are limited to just 3 spaces & so the onsite parking claim listed in the facilities is a little misleading. Whilst there is street parking, it is in great demand.

It’s was ok. A bit out of date. The bathroom was filthy dirty, the shower hadn’t seen a good clean in a very long time, if I’d brought my cleaning products with me I would have cleaned the bathroom myself. Then the shower wouldn’t work no hot water at all. The staff were lovely and the food was really lovely, which was fine. My daughter had an ice cream there was bits of cheese in the ice cream and thumb marks on the chocolate ice cream where it looked like they had used there fingers to get the ice cream off the spoon, I complained and said it’s a good job I didn’t have that ice cream as I can’t have cheese, so I said it’s cross contamination. They were polite and gave my daughter another one. I told the manager about our dirty bathroom, several excuses later he apologised and I showed him the photos of the bathroom. It never got cleaned while we were the.
So very disappointing, we won’t be staying there again, but we would go and have a meal there thought.
Outdated decor, no list so had to walk three flights with a heavy suitcase and bags, and our dog so we had to take him out, walking up and down those stairs three or four times a day was a bit to much.

The staff were friendly and very welcoming
The rooms were a bit dated. There was a few bits missing (light cover and some if the blinds) there was a few bits of painting that could do with a touch up and there was a couple of holes in tge wall and carpet. Shower kept going hot and cold

Staff were really friendly, breakfast was lovely.
There was no hairdryer in the room so we had to get dressed and go down to bar to ask for one before we could dry our hair so that was a little inconvenient. Shower was cold but as it was a hot day was quite nice but not good normally.

The staff were very friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. A fun place to stay. Karaoke was great to watch and hear! We were only there overnight, but would book again.
It is a walk up a hill from the town, although I did not mind. There is a drain that cars go over, on the road and it makes a noise every time they go over it!
5.0 / 10.0
The location was very good. Close to the beach and eat multiple restaurants and a local grocery shop
There were a few maintaince issues on arrival the water was cold, which meant my family and I had to have a a cold shower. When we mentioned it we were told there was an issue with the boiler which was rectified. The shower handle also fell off while I was shower which could have been dangerous.
Having a young child and looking the family room, a fridge would have been great in the room to store milk and snack for the little ones.
