The Shore

Location is perfect, it's like a 10 min walk to the beach, it's very close to a nisa local, restaurants and maybe a 15-20 min walk to the town centre depending on how fast you walk. I thought the place was very clean and well looked after, we had enough tea/coffee/sugar and the fridge was a really nice touch. I really appreciated how dust free the place was especially because I have asthma and bad allergies. There is also a free water dispenser on the bottom floor which I really liked. We stayed in room 8.

Our room was on the third floor and there wasn't a lift which was difficult at times because we had heavy luggage. Also having to walk up and down to get water from the water dispenser was difficult. The room as I said was really nice however there was no where to hang your towel e.g no hooks behind any of the doors, just a clothes rail inside the store cupboard and I feel more places to hang your towels is needed more especially in a hotel near the beach where you may want to hang your towels when you get back. Having said all of this, our overall stay was great.

Great communication, room had everything you needed. Very spacious room very clean and very comfortable bed. Easy check in process.

The shower head could have been a bit better as it is a tube shape rather than round so didn't cover much of an area.

Parking is a bit of a lottery, even after having paid for an allocated spot.

Good location. Easy to walk into town and to the beach.

I had pre paid for parking and been given an allocated spot outside of the hotel. It was impossible to use this spot due to the parking of other guests. The parking spaces are very small anyway but my car would not have fit between the two SUVs into the space, especially as one was over the line. We phoned and were told to use any space we could. No ventilation through the hotel. I dread to think how it would be during a heatwave. Luckily we stayed when it was 22-24 degrees. The room was challenging. We were in room 9 on the top floor. No issue with being on the top floor. But the furniture includes a bed, two small bedside tables, a desk table and chair. We were living out of our bags on the floor. Sleep quality was ok. The bed and mattress were good enough. The bathroom was also challenging. There was a cupboard under the sink. Not a single hook anywhere. Not a towel rail. Not a toilet roll holder. Nothing. Not being able to hang a towel after use is not convenient. There was a storage cupboard in the room with a hanging rail. It came with a generous 3 hangers. There was also a hair dryer, iron and small ironing board in there. This was not a comfortable stay. Maybe there was furniture once and it got trashed? When going out one day, some rooms were being vented and cleaned. I think ours was one of the more ‘basic’ rooms but furniture I did notice looks cheap and not overly sufficient anyway. It was cheap to book. 3 nights for roughly £200, booked back in Feb. Seemed like a bargain at the time. Wish I’d booked the premier inn.
