Room was good size and very convenient for town centre and beach.
Greeted pleasantly.
No breakfast available (we were the only people asking for it and told we were too late at 6:30pm).
Shower temperature was nearly as cold as the sea, no hot water even after running taps for 15 mins.
Car park has a £10 charge

Warm and comfortable stay and free to come and go at all hrs. Close to the town centre and beaches and many eateries. Pinocchios is a must.
Stairs, not the hotels fault.

Hotel was easy to find and a good distance from the beach and town, nice quiet area - plenty of paid parking. Room looked nice, was clean and the beds were comfy.
Unfortunately the hotel was absolutely freezing, I wasn't particularly bothered about the lobby area, but our room was unbearably cold.
The heating randomly seemed to come on around 4pm and off at 10pm, we slept fully clothed with scarves on - had to buy ourselves a heater and two hot water bottles, even considered just going home, but it was a 2.5 hour drive.
Couldn't find a member of staff to talk to about this - as the paying customer I believe I should be in control of the heating in my room, there wasn't even a heated towel rail in the bathroom so was like walking into a fridge to use the loo.

Staff was lovely and the location was great. Rooms are very nice. The room we were supposed to have wasn't quite ready when we arrived so got upgraded to a larger one.
Unfortunately, the room was extremely cold during winter. The heaters are on timers and weren’t on for most of the day — at times, I could literally see my own breath in the room. We were given a small heater (which normally costs an extra £15 per night), but it didn’t make much difference, and we were still shivering. Additionally, our key card didn’t always work properly, and we were worried that one night it might not let us into the room at all.

One thing I would like to see in each room is a mini fridge.

It was easy access, close to where I needed to be, clean bedding, had ok amenities, kettle, tv etc.
Room was very very cold, I had to use hair dryer to warm it up. Heating was off all night and no extra blankets. Was 17 C in the room at 3 am. Floor boards loose, actually moving as you walked to bathroom. Badly stained carpets. In general a bit run down.

Lovely big house, good location , room had been decorated recently and looked really nice
Although the room was in good condition with new carpet and recently decorated walls we were really shocked that someone had used the toilet and left it in a really disgusting state full up with poo, this obviously hadn’t been checked before we moved in, not good management, also the room was really cold at night as the heating went off early, we should have got something knocked of the bill

The room was lovely and good for 1 night. Nice tidy room. Facilities are good and it looks lovely. Great location. Would love to go back but the beds put me off which is a shame.
Bed was awful. Every move it squeaked and moved. Mattress was so bad we couldn't sleep, felt every spring. Floor in bathroom made a crushing noise and in the shower felt like I was going to fall through!

The place was really clean and tidy, everything well kept. The staffs were really friendly and approachable. Rooms and Bathroom were comfy and spacious, enjoyed the stay with my family.
The place should have provided some basic necessities like bottled drinking water inside the room, though we could take water from other areas. The wifi was quite weak and it didn't connect to the TV, which were mentioned as available facilities when booked.

Card access only so felt very safe, clean and tidy, comfortable room with good facilities, nice and close to the BIC and local shops
Nothing I didn’t like

It was clean . But dated
Mirror in bathroom had a huge crack in the corner . Towels only changed every two days . Breakfast was child size and the cook/ chef could barely mumble and looked like he didn’t really want to be there .

The bed was comfortable. The artwork on the walls was fantastic. The cooked breakfast was lovely, although the cereal section wasn't great.
The room was really cold, the radiator had been turned off and we couldn't turn it back on. We had to ask for a hand towel to use in the bathroom. Also had to ask for a second glass for the bathroom. There were only coffee sachets, so I had to ask for teabags. When we arrived back at the hotel around 10pm, it was to find that the bar closes at 9pm, earlier if quiet! Went up to our room, no lighting on the stairs directly outside our door, although it did come on and stay on later. No hot water in the bathroom at night! The duvet totally inadequate, it was tucked in at the bottom of the bed, fantastic, but it meant that it didn't reach my shoulders. Having booked via Booking.com, I notice that the room I booked was listed as a Deluxe Twin Room, I'm not sure what was deluxe about it. The TV didn't work and no one available to ask what we were doing wrong. On asking for teabags, towel, a glass, and the heating to be looked at, these were sorted for us.

Very friendly staff on welcome and at Breakfast. The room was clean and tidy and the Breakfast was very good
The WiFi was dreadful... neither mine or my sons phones picked it up after entering the passwords. The same for the TV which wasn't able to connect to the WiFi.

Was quite at night
The room was very small and the bad was for one person I think and not comfortable enough due to the structure of it. We originally paid for three nights but we left one night earlier. When we where leaving we met someone who work there I guess, and I told him we are checking out today instead of tomorrow and I told him about the room was small, and respond I was getting was Yes he said the room is the smallest in the hotel and he said next time I will give you an discount.
We were very disappointed with the answer because the staff they knew that we have the wrong room!
Over all not happy with the hotel sorry.

Comfortable beds and plenty of room. Good extra facilities like the iron and ironing board. and hairdryer.
Was very cold at night and I couldn't switch the radiator on. Water in wash basin and shower took a long time to heat up.

Great staff, mostly clean room, great location
Very thin walls, no drinkable tap water in top rooms, some slightly unclean aspects in room (nothing very bad just not spotless)

Convenient location to the town.
The price was increased because it’s a weekend in August but there was no air conditioning or even a portable fan. The room was so hot neither of us could sleep. Also the breakfast was very cheap ingredients. I don’t stay in a hotel to get a worse experience than home.

It was at an alright location.
Someone was screaming and vomiting in the room next to us the whole night, making it impossible to sleep. Called the hotel staff, they just told the guy to quiet down, which he didn't. In the morning, the room with the reception desk was locked and the staff nowhere to be found, I assume because they knew that we would complain. I wish I could upload videos here of how unbearable the noise was, truly the worst stay in our entire lives. I definitely want a refund for this disaster that ruind our holiday.

7.0 / 10.0
It was comfortable although not sure what made it delux. It worked for us
Lots of stairs. Water pressure was a bit dangerous going from hot to cold. Parking charge was a surprise and very strange system as if you left you spot you were not likely to be able to park anywhere else!

The Cecil Court Hotel was very clean, room was a double, quite small but comfy. Breakfast was lovely as were the staff. Particularly the Portuguese lady who was very helpful & friendly. The location was great, just a short 10 minute walk to the beach, ( watch out for the steps going down to the beach, there’s a lot!). A lovely pub less than 2 minutes away, (The Goat & Tricycle) which served great food.
The floorboards are squeaky so there was a bit of noise from that. Please be aware, all information regarding Wi Fi password, who to call in an emergency are stuck up behind the door to the room. We were not made aware of this and had a problem the first night with the people in the next room blaring music until 5am. Luckily that was only 1 night the rest of the stay was quiet. We were told there is always someone on sight to deal with problems.Had we been made aware of this when we arrived we would not have had to suffer on our first night put a bit of a downer our holiday.

Lovely little hotel. Breakfast was very good and the lady taking orders was lovely. Great location and very quiet. The room was very clean. Kenny is a gem nothing is too much trouble.
The shower cubicle is tiny perfect for standing until u have to bend to get shampoo. The bed was a bit soft for me but that's a personal preference.

Location fantastic - 10 mins. to sandy beach, 5 mins. to Bournemouth and 15 mins. to Westbourne - easy walk to bus stops to all around the area - great room comfy bed, shower great - a bit slow to heat up but not a problem- can't fault the hotel and I would go again - great value for money as well.
Nothing - although I did not eat at the hotel, so can't comment on the food or service.
