Great location, good price, NO heating,

Cheap, clean and very cheerful.

Breakfast is decent, beds very comfy and the gent that runs it was very lovely and helpful when we weren't sure where to eat. Room was clean and tidy and the hotel was in the perfect spot, one way was 10 min walk to the cinema and restaurants and the other way was 10 min walk to the beach and arcade.

Cold bathroom and the shower wasn't very hot it got to about luke warm temp, also the TV was tiny and a bit crackly but yah dont go away to watch tele so that wasn't much of a bother.

Very bad , unclean, smelly , owner very intimidating.

The room was not as shown in the photos, stained sheets and covers, tiny shower cubicle, no hot water, dirty scourer sponge with hairs all in it on top of clothes rail shelf, myself and my partner asked for our money back, the owner was not very willing to do so nor give us our £10 parking fee back , he took 20 % off our payment as said booking.com will be taking it off him! Not very happy atall we were left trying to find somewhere else to stay and had to pay out more tho the hotel we eventually found was very nice.

Needs updating. No tea or coffee making facilities in room but advertised as such. Suggests that they put a microwave in the dining room to allow guests to warm croissants instead of having to eat cold.

Dissaponting standard even for a budget hotel

Great location. Friendly welcome.

Very cold room overnight despite heating. Damp towels. Flickering toilet light. No tee and coffee facilities in room - had to go outside back into main building to get even a cup to drink out of. No hairdryer as advertised. Tempermental swipe access to get into room.

Absolutely terrible.

The location was pretty good

The hotel had no heating in the room and no hot water and the owner said the heating came on with a timer which didn’t work so there was no heating etc. we left the hotel after one night stay and we booked for 5 nights and refused a refund absolutely terrible customer service.

The location was close to town

The bathroom ceiling was falling in over the toilet, bed sheet/ duvet were bleach and grease stained, shower not clean- room generally not clean. Bed very uncomfortable. Key card never worked, had to keep getting staff to come and let us in. Room was not refreshed after first night. Breakfast poor- out of date wrapped pain au chocolates. We left after the first night, receptionist did not ask why we were leaving, I do tell her but she didn’t seem surprised or bothered

Adequate but one I would not book again

The room was basic with no chairs , it was clean but dated, The fact you could park on site was good at a reasonable charge.

The central heating was not working, the room had a oil filled radiator which was hardly adequate for the time of year

Could be so much better with a little effort and thought

Continental Breakfast was good but pastry out of date and dining room was freezing. Staff friendly. The location was reasonable with a short walk to the seafront and associated attractions.

It was a cold October day and there appeared to be no heating in the hotel. The room was very small with no bedside shelf on one side for glasses etc. as there was a coat rail cupboard on the side of the bed. The main light which was the only one accessible from the door when you enter the room did not work, the only lightbulb the receptionist could find did not fit. The shower we a bit if a disaster, the cubical doors had broke, replaced with a fixed shower curtain that only covered half the gap. One of the glass doors was left dangerously propped up against the cubical and could early fall.

Very close to BIC, approx 5 mins steep downhill walk. It was clean, staff helpful and continental breakfast in dining room was plentiful. It was good value for money.

The room was freezing cold, the quilt was thin and only 1 thin pillow per person! Walls thin, so you hear everything anyone else in rooms next door was saying!!

Not somewhere I will book again

Good location for my weekend course in town. Relatively cheap.

When I arrived, there was no parking available at the hotel or on the streets around it. I tried to call the hotel, but their phone was off the hook, so I went shopping for an hour and sent them a message. Parking is a problem, so be aware if you're driving. The room smelled like a damp forest. There were old stains on the bedding. There was a kettle but no plug for it, except on the floor behind the curtain. no bedside light, no hair dryer, peeling wallpaper, etc, made the stay overall unpleasant.

Even tho its all about the sleep - the location is a great bonus

If you are coming to bournmouth to work - specifically at the conference centre- then this is absolutely ideal. quiet and comfortable and within a short direct route to the conference centre .. and the sea! Staff were super friendly and the £5 extra per night for the parking is good value . I was staying for three days of fairly intense conference and nothing makes the difference to how it goes than sleep. thank you Mount Stuart Hotel ! And if you are coming for less serious reasons this place is still really close to the sea and local shops as well as a delicious Vegan restaurent. Even the seagulls were on board about being quiet.. maybe that's bournouth bonus .. totally recommend this place to stay.

ok so breakfast was a bit of fail - to be fair staffing "out of season" while others on leave coincided with my stay so no cooked breakfast - and not until after 9.00 am so you might need to plan for that.. I found a well stocked local shop on the next street that kept me going perfectly.

The breakfast was very nice, it made a nice change to have continental, plus it was varied as well. The location was perfect, not far from the beach and also there was good restaurant's and pub's.

Breakfast was good only comment is we are used to an earlier one but only because we have always been early risers we managed by reading paper all restaurants pubs exerts were very close, good walk down to beach and pier being in our 80,s and 90,s the hill made it a longer time but we managed it every day did the heart good

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and short walk to the beach. The hotel itself is clean. Overall, a good experience.

The bunk bed was quite noisy, and I was disturbed by traffic noise from the road early in the morning.
