The mattress was too hard and made sleeping difficult. The over bed light never worked but not an issue to us on this occasion.

It was very convenient for our trip to the BIC.

Great Location & Friendly Warm Welcome

Very warm friendly welcome from all people there. Dog friendly £10 per dog per night. Car parking is £5 per day. Amazing location near beach and park and some lovely restaurants and bars. There is a great dog friendly pub across the road that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good water pressure in the shower & a good sized bedroom. Hot chocolate & biscuits in bedroom were lovely. The house is old & definitely needs updating especially our shower room but they appeared to be working on the house while we were there. This property is room only. No breakfast served. Bed was very comfortable with extra pillows and blanket. TV was good. View was over road & other hotels but was incredibly quiet & peaceful & we found it very relaxing.

Shower room is tiny. You wouldn't want to be fat. Bathroom sink in bedroom was terrible - no water pressure & didn't drain. Car parking is tight. Coffee is bedroom was absolutely disgusting & undrinkable. Bed was very small. No plug socket beside my bedside.

Lovely staff, clean and comfortable

Great location and reasonably priced parking for central Bournemouth and BIC. Lovely staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned to a good standard.

Felt in need of some refurbishment in places, and had signs of recent/planned refurbishment in others. Unusually the carpets were joined to the skirting with silicone, which feels a tad unusual. The water pressure on the top floor could have been better and the water took ages to get warm.

The hotel can be found in a quiet, good location.

It's a pity that the light in the bathroom is motion-sensitive, so there's unnecessary lighting and fan noise. Better have a light switch. The floor carpet needs to be cleaned.

Lovely to weekend get away.

The location is amazing. Right next to everything you need. Shops. Bars. Restaurants. Beach. We had two kids and it was perfect. The room is a good size for 4. The hosts were lovely. Friendly. And attended to what we needed.

A very dirty place to stay. Would never go back again

We didn’t like anything there. The place was very dirty

The place was very dirty. The shower was leaking and we been asked to don’t have a shower in the last day. The bedding stinks and the carpet in the room was filthy. The lights in the bathroom are sensor ones and it switched on in the night a few times even if no ones where in the bathroom

I'd stay again at the Charlesworth

The room was small but big enough for me and my dog. The bed was good and very comfortable. I cannot comment on breakfast because either I left long before breakfast to take y dog to a dog show, or otherwise I rise late. The Charlesworth is in a quiet neighbourhood. There was no charge for the Wifi. As I had my dog with me, my beach viisits were to dog-friendly beaches at Boscombe and Highcliffe, both a short drive away..

There were more cars than car parking spaces, however I can squeeze my car into awkward spaces, which I had to. Some other cars blocked neighbouring cars. There was a £10 per night charge for my dog for 4 nights even though he was boarded out for one of the four nights. When I used my computer it had to be on my lap because the very short counter had a sink and tap, so there was no power point close by.

Would not recommend

We came to stay in Bournemouth and this hotel is located in Bournemouth. That’s about it.

Rating We have stayed in Bournemouth dozens of times, so have a lot of experience to compare to. This was one of the most expensive hotels we’ve stayed in. More expensive than hotels with pools and spas but we chose this because of its high rating. However this was, by far, the worst hotel we’ve stayed in. Where to begin… Whatever the price is you paid for the room, you have to add another £5/day when you get there. Despite having their own private car park, they charge their paying guests to park in it! There were two dead cars occupying spots in it, one that was up on a jack. It’s like paying to park in a scrapyard. The hotel has an odd, strong smell. The room we were given was tiny, with the smallest double bed I’ve ever seen, and a rock hard mattress. There was one chair in the room so one person gets a chair, the other sits on the bed. There was a hole in the wall beside the bed which had been kicked or punched, but not repaired. There was a gross brown stain on the floor by the toilet. The wallpaper is coming away from the walls everywhere. The walls are also paper thin, so thin that our neighbour’s snoring woke me up. The bathroom has no power switch, the light and loud fan come on by motion detector. This randomly comes on about every 20 minutes, all night long. There’s nothing that can be done to stop this, we tried everything! On our second morning we were woken at 6am by the host knocking loudly on our neighbours door, demanding to be let in to their room. Apparently there was a water leak. So everyone in the hotel needed to be woken up I guess? I realise this is in contradiction to a lot of reviews for this place, I can’t for the life of me understand this.

The beach is few mins away, and shops near aswell. We had nice holiday with family.

There’s nothing that I could say I didn’t like.. because you’re going for a holiday and your looking only for something to sleep so everything was good

Little gem

The beds were clean, and comfortable the room was spacious, we had a double and a single bed, lots of windows to open to keep your room cool, and tea and coffee were available in the room. 2 mins walk to the shop and some places to eat , ( be aware if you go to the ITALIAN there is an additional 10% service charge on your bill) 6 min walk to the international centre, and 10min into the town centre all downhill. Came for the Cheerleading competition been coming to Bournemouth for 6 years now and I wish we had found this place sooner. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.

Great position, easy walk into town but far enough away to not be disturbed by the night life noise. Comfortable room, warm and great shower. Lovely, welcoming hosts. Could not have been more helpful. We had a family room for 5 of us and there was so much space. Didn't feel like we were climbing over each other. Would definitely come back again.

Perfecto 👌

It was a beautiful little guest house. I loved it. Our room was comfortable, scrupulously clean, and really nice. We stayed one night to visit the BIC, and this was made easier because it was only a very short walk away. On departing, we were called back because they'd realised I have left Kindle in our room!!! It's such a nice place!
