    Was looking forward to a sauna and steam room but neither existed! Small pool and jacuzzi were pleasant and quiet though. Room was comfortable, decent size and good size - with bath (inc shower). Entertainment on every night, and coach load of older people who seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good to feel young!

    Wasn't expecting too much from a coach company owned hotels, many these days are tired and gloomy, but on arrival the first impression of the reception area was very good, love the staircase! Staff very helpful and friendly, exceptional food, good choices and absolutely piping hot. Room very comfortable and all recently refurbished. Ideally placed and a short walk from town and nearby buses. So pleased I chose this hotel.

    Got there 1 hour before check-in due to better than expected roads. Reception were not helpful and would not check with housekeeping if our room was ready despite my wife being disabled. Finally got into the room only to discover they had allocated us the wrong room. When we complained to reception they promised we would be move only to renege on this when we returned from our night out. We had planned on eating at their restaurant but the menu was bland to say the least. At breakfast we were treated to a spider in our tea a fried egg that could have doubled up as a discuss. My wife has chones diasease a became unwell throwing up in our room. Enough was enough we decided to cut short our weekend break and headed home as soon as my wife was well enough. No refund just a it bad ‘but what can you do ’ approach to the whole debacle was enough to put us off ever returning *** and ***
