Breakfast was superb, location great and room was very comfortable, especially the bed!

Everything was great - we had a very early exit on the last day. The staff ensured that we had a breakfast pack for every family member to enjoy in the taxi and very long train ride. Thank you so much!!! Very grateful!

Good and Bad

Location

The check out process was really bad and it took almost an hour. The front desk double charged the room and they have claimed that was done by mistake and the amount will be reversed soon waiting for the manager to come to duty. But even after 5 days no amount was returned to the card and no one has contacted me from their management to resolve this issue although I requested detailed clarification by email.

The Palace was the perfect location in Como to take the ferry and to walk the village.

The hotel was lovely and the front desk staff and porters could not have been nicer or more accomodating! I will always remember my stay in Como because of the kind helpfulness of all of the staff. The breakfast and wait staff were wonderful! Loved the hard boiled eggs, fruit, croissants and french yogurt. Beautiful breakfast buffet and lovely dining rooms ♥️

Maintenance and restaurant staff super polite and helpful, location was great, room was updated and very clean

Desk staff not very knowledgeable or helpful, room was pretty small, breakfast was very large for a buffet. Only place in Italy where Cafe Americano was good, expensive hotel. Not the hotels fault but the lack of taxis or Ubers in the area is very unfortunate. The hotel’s pick up service from the Milan airport was 200 euros. There were no taxis visible at the airport so had to use the private car option. It’s an outrageous price.

Our room was small, but the view made up for it.

The location was close to the city center. The views of the lake were gorgeous.

The door to the newer section of the hotel was usually locked. This made it difficult to access the back door to the city center.

Comfortable Lakeside Stay

We arrived mid-morning, and as expected, our room wasn’t ready. However, it was not a problem! We completed the check-in process and our bags were tagged and kept safe so that we could explore without having to carry our bags around. The guy at the desk was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and provided us with a free map on which he marked out the local market and points of interest. After a long day exploring Como and Bellagio, we returned to our hotel later that evening, collected our bags and room key card. Unfortunately, our key card didn’t work, and we were not the only ones! So back to reception we went. When we eventually got into our room, it was very comfortable and had a great view of the lake! Breakfast the next morning was delicious - buffet style. We were fortunate enough to get a seat next to the window, overlooking the lake. Would definitely stay again.

Underwhelmed

The staff totally forgot my wife’s “surprise” 50th birthday dinner booking she made 1 month prior- this then became no surprise because she has to rearrange it upon check in. We where also offered to use the gym early then stated each day but when ever we came down each morning a grumpy man at the front desk would make a fuss.. Cleary one hand dose not speak to the other at this hotel.

Great como base

Great location, had a beautiful view of the cathedral from my room. Staff were really friendly and helpful! Great base to explore como, cable cart station and main ferry station really close by (within five minutes). Overall the hotel was decorated beautifully
