The Parkers Arms - The home of Cattlemans Steakhouse

The Cattlemam's Restaurant; my Rib eye steak was super. Could do with more veg. but suppose I should have oredered more sides. Food is always good at The Cattleman's.

Well, nit picking but the fire escape entrance to the bedrooms. Anyway small price to pay for an excellent place to stay and I will always stay here when I can book it.

Comfy room. Friendly staff. Ample parking. Extra of all tea/coffee/milk sachets in a box on the landing, nice touch. Loads of places to visit. Cockington, Torre Abbey, Paignton, Brixham.

My elderly labrador struggled on the exterior metal stairway so we had to go home earlier than we would of liked.

Great and convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff.

No wardrobe. No seat in room.

Price. Location. Restaurant had quite the vibe, smokey and smelled good. I stayed a night for a race down in Dartmouth so did not get to enjoy the food but pub and restaurant downstairs is a big plus. Spacious car park can get busy at peak hours so get in and park before the diners come in. very casual service/housekeeping/reception. Large spacious bathroom provided.

Took the family room for myself. Private bathroom but it is down the end of the corridor. it's locked - you have the key, it IS yours to use privately. but it's down the corridor. that means - getting your key, locking your bedroom door, nipping down to your bathroom in your knickers, getting the key out to unlock the bathroom door, then you get to do your business - and repeat on the way back. Bathroom - tub and shower head provided - the sink was clogged. Hotels/accommodation almost never check this. Quite poor and yuck. Bedroom - radiator is pretty loud and well heard deep into the night, the window is not sound proof. rooms located up a very steep set of fire escape doors, right above the pub - potential to be noisy but was okay that Saturday night I stayed. some characters lurking about as usual. preferred to stay in that night.
