Right over the cattleman’s restaurant and near the zoo which was great. Rooms were lovely and warm. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee all provided and wifi. Lots of parking.
Very dated. Although I’m sure it can’t be helped because of plumbing but the bathroom was down the hall which wasn’t made very clear in description which is wasn’t great in night with a toddler. Also had mould on ceiling and blinds by sink had toothpaste on them.
Had a family room which pictured was a double and single bed but when got there was double bunk bed and single. Double bed was really hard to get two people in and out of as was against the wall and separate single was tiny for an adult man. Pillows were very flat had to use 4.

The location was very good as we had a celebratory meal at the Cattleman’s Steakhouse.
It had an old sash window and wasn’t double glazed so you could hear all the traffic going past as if you had the window open. Also it was very draughty and so the room was very cold on a winters night.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, the tea and coffee were well stocked. Free parking although does get very busy not for the less confident of driver. Rooms were clean, the best part of our stay was having dinner in the restaurant best steak ever!! Great location wise and cheap no frills basic accommodation.
MAJOR NOTE not accessible!!! No mention of this when booking, we booked with my mother who has very poor mobility issues to and from the rooms indoors are multiple steps but the main issue is the outdoor entrance its up what is best described as old school metal fire escape stairs with only 1 handrail to the left, they are steep and very slippy! We stayed out all day as my mum struggled so much with the access.
The rooms are very basic, beds uncomfortable, during the night the rooms are freezing cold, daytime extemely hot, unable to alter the radiator. Beds squeaky (metal bunkbed in family room) and separate room with key to a private bathroom. I appreciate it is an old building however the creaky floorboards are rather irritating too. Not for lightsleepers can hear all outside traffic and noise/music from bar below.
For a no frills really basic cheap accommodation then this is for you. For more comfort and accessibility friendly look elsewhere.
4.0 / 10.0
Price was vey competitive, shower was hot and strong
Excessive amount of black mould in the toilet/shower room
Having to constantly ask for the heating to be turned on, then it going back off after an hour or two
Waking every morning to a cold room is not fun
Excessive road noise due to tired old sash windows and no secondary glazing
Worn out pillows that are so thin and compacted
Generally this whole room(3) needs a major refurbishment upgrade

Clean and easy to get around
Nothing was good
4.0 / 10.0
The staff and food were very good
Climbing the fire escape to the upstairs.
Windows broken and covered with cardboard.
Mould in the bathroom.
There is no warning of not being suitable for people with mobility issues.
No heating or not turned on.
No chairs, just a bed, a wonkey wardrobe, and a bedside cabinet.

Good location
Was freezing cold, internet was very poor and traffic noise was a problem

Location is great for walks and beach. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. If you need a no frills bed and room with access to an amazing restaurant then this is perfect.
Small things that would have enhanced the room. A chair to sit on would have been good, I'm sure if I had asked this would have been facilitated, however I was out most days.

Lovely friendly staff, super clean room and comfy bed. Ensuite was basic but commensurate with price paid. Rooms are above a pub and by main room so some noise to be expected but we slept well. Really well priced and great restaurant attached for evening food.
Nothing as if fixtures and fittings were upgraded I would also expect to pay more. Have to be aware of access issues as up metal stairs akin to fire escape

Great communication with the owner and stayed up late as we arrived past midnight.

Great location, quiet and the staff were lovely. Let us check in early too.
10am check out is a little early. Nicer to have the option to stay a little longer.

The room had no ventilation the kitchen fan was off and on all night even though we were told it would go off at 11pm didn’t get any sleep. The bathroom was down hall you needed to get dressed to use the toilet

Double bed in family room was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The bathroom had not been cleaned following the previous guest, but had we realised this earlier and reported this, I am sure that the staff would have rectified this. The bathroom for the family room is along the corridor, not en-suite. The single bed in the family room was uncomfortable, so I recommend that the mattress is replaced.

basic , awful colours for towels floor mats felt very poor and old , no hairdryer

No idea. We needed to check in late, so we arrived early to pick up the keys. When we returned, it became clear they had given us to few keys to get in. We needed three and one had fallen off the key ring. So at 1.30 am we set off on the two-hour journey home.
Never gained access to the room. The corridors were grubby.

The en-suite shower room was ok.
As soon as you enter the accommodation area the pungent smell of old carpets hits you. They need to change them ! Did not appreciate the cracked window pane or the crumbling window frames held open by a piece of wood inside our room.

Everything was great
8.0 / 10.0
Clean and airy room with a good shower and plenty of tea and coffee and toiletries.
External steps up to the rooms very steep. Would hate to carry a suitcase up there and questionable in wintry weather.

Quite fan out side window

All as expected clean tidy and great food served in restaurant 😋
Beautiful newly done bathroom with great shower just needs toilet seat sorting as not fitted properly. Tea and coffee making facilities were plentiful.
Bed needs to be higher as practically on floor and not easy for a person with disabilities.
Also need dressing table and some sort of wardrobe, wasn't a worry for us as only stayed one night but any longer it would of been. Only one bedside table???

Awful. People smoking cannabis. Our room absolutely stunk of weed!! The bar staff made us aware that a guest had been smoking weed and yet didnt kick that guest out of the inn, even though he said they had a zero tolerance? The guest started smoking it during the night again as the smell got really strong. Another guest also had a very big scary dog which my child was afraid of.
The guests smoking drugs. Ordered three hot chocolates which tasted awful :( so we didnt drink them. The room was very dated and dusty. Beds were uncomfortable. Sheets looked like they were ten years old. Didn't feel safe in the room with my two children. Wasn't a good window to let in air to give us fresh air from the cannabis floating in from the hallway. The front door to the rooms was left open so anyone could get in...
I know I couldn't expect much for the £38 that it cost us, but I did expect to feel safe and to not have a druggy next door :( kids were upset, i'd like a reimbursement of our money please.

The stairs was a fire escape very slippery and steep and I’m outside of the building. The room was okay to do a bit of upgrading bathroom was very small the bedroom could do with decorating.
6.0 / 10.0
The bed was comfortable.
The bathroom was clean.
The shower was good.
Toiletries were provided.
Kettle and tea bags provided.
Good carparking.
Other guests using the shared bathroom made quite a lot of noise during the night as the stairs/floor was very creaky.
The noise from the road which the room overlooked was horrendous, even with the window closed. I was only able to snatch a few disturbed hours of sleep - not good when you have many miles to drive.
8.0 / 10.0
Great value for money! Good amount of teas/coffees/milk etc with spares available in the corridor if we ran out. Room was clean and tidy and bathroom had free toiletries. Room aired for arrival.
Furniture not of the best quality but serviceable.

The food was great and the staff friendly. Restaurant service from Maisie Moo (you'll need to ask her) was excellent.
Rooms were clean, but the weather has been very hot and there was no air conditioning. ANY other weekend, it would have been fine.
Noise from the road (had to have the wondow open due to weather, this isn't the fault of The Parkers Arms.
4.0 / 10.0
Food and staff very good the room needed sound proofing as we didn't sleep as the road noise was so bad so we left at 7am as no breakfast on sight
So would possibly come back for Food but wouldn't stay
5.0 / 10.0
Bed was comfortable.
Temperature was good.
There is a fan outside the family room, but it blocks the noise from downstairs.
Rooms need updating.
The bathroom for the family room was down the hall.
No hand towel in the bathroom.
People leaving the rooms, can see you on the toilet as they go past the window outside.
Toilet seat is quite dangerous.
No hand soap in the dispenser.
Floors creak a lot, so you can hear all other guests.
Gave me American motel vibes.

The inn has one of the best restaurants available focused on sizzling steaks cooked at your table on volcanic stone. A Brilliant carvery and a menu for everyone. It also has a traditional public bar with a pool table and darts. It's less than 2 miles from paignton seafront and easy access to places of interest like Totnes. Amenities that are very close by include 2 supermarkets and a kfc and McDonald's drive thru's
The metal staircase leading from the car park up to the rooms is not for those with limited mobility, but this way your stay is not restricted by pub opening times

Not a lot
Most of it felt old and very used.

Comfortable room, very good price.
Steep stairs up to the room and a bit of a walk into Paignton. This was fine for us, but bear in mind if you have mobility issues.

Onside steakhouse that was delicious, Onside parking and staff very friendly
Stains on the bed head , hairs in bed , single bed creaked, noise from extractor fan from pub , floors very creaky , separate bathroom down the corridor not opposite as stated.
