Lovely B&B close to the beach

We loved our room, it was spacious and very comfortable and very good location, right next to Goodrington sands beach and an easy walk into Paignton

My only feedback would be to have a little fridge in each room to keep things cold. The breakfast room was lovely and you could order a cooked breakfast or pancakes but it would be nice to have some fresh fruit and a toaster for guests to help themselves in the breakfast room as the staff were so busy making cooked breakfasts

Exceptional !

What a gem 😍 everything about our stay was exceptional! Our room, a superior double was was beautifully decorated , spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and our hosts Aidan and Mijj couldn’t have been more accommodating , they were very friendly and welcoming . Very dog friendly and a dog friendly beach within a short walk was a real bonus . Next time we shall definitely make use of the hot tub and garden bar !

Wonderful place to stay! Home from home.

We stayed for 1 night before catching the ferry from Plymouth, The hosts are extremely helpful and do all they can to make your stay a wonderful experience. The accommodation is clean, very comfortable and they have added lots of extra little touches which makes you feel at home. The breakfast can't be faulted and the range of choices is vast, everyone is catered for. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse and will stay again if catching the ferry from Plymouth.

Amazing guest house offering top class accomodation, facilities , food and hospitality

Lovely home from home style guest hotel with amazing hosts who were warm and friendly and super helpful. Location was great could walk to beach or town or further. Beautiful fresh cooked breakfast and hot tub. Top notch and very clean and comfortable. Will be back.

Clean airy, lots of facilities. Aiden couldn’t do enough to ensure i had what i needed and was so accommodating. Breakfast was great. So many options. Would absolutely stay there again and Im particularly about where i stay. Great value for money too.

Excellent, we’ll definitely return there and stay for longer !

The hosts Aiden, Midge and their daughter Ruth were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed in the Greenway room , Agatha Christie themed, which was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and choice excellent. They’re dog friendly and several guests had well behaved dogs with them and they spoke very positively about their experience staying there too. Great value and I’ll definitely stay there again!

A quirky, warm ,welcoming hotel with fantastic hosts. We would definitely go again.

Aidan and his family were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble in trying to make sure we had everything we needed . A portable heater was provided when we were cold due to the radiator not coming on - a problem that was soon remedied. Lovely cooked breakfast , good choice of food . Fresh milk was available whenever we wanted it. The hot tub and bar were added bonuses.

Although it made no difference to the enjoyment of our stay the bathroom possibly needed updating as it was beginning to look a little tired - rusting basket in the shower and towel holder, cracked bath ,mouldy grouting and lack of power in the shower. The location of the hotel was great but the steep hill it was on could be a problem for some people.

Warm welcome, delicious breakfast.

Book a stay at Earlston House if you want to find somewhere run by passionate people who take pride in providing a personal and welcoming experience. The room was carefully and uniquely designed, my daughter exclaimed that it was the nicest room she's ever stayed in! After a wonderful night's sleep, we made our way downstairs to the beautiful bright dining room and we're welcomed with a delicious breakfast. Aidan and his partner were both exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and we are already looking to come back again.

You Had Me At "Would you like to use the Hot Tub?"

The location was excellent. We were fortunate enough to have a sea view from our room - although not all rooms have this - and the local beach was a short walk away (maybe 3 or 4 minutes at most). The room was generously proportioned with good facilities (a kettle, a Smart TV with access to Netflix included and a Tassimo-esque Coffee/Chocolate machine with several pods supplied). There was good light, lots of mirrors, a comfy bed with plenty of cushions and pillows. The bathroom was pleasant, too, with a reliable shower with decent water pressure. Our host, Aiden, was extremely friendly and helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. There's also a large hot-tub for guests to use, which includes slippers and robe supplied. I do recommend taking advantage of the hot-tub as it was extremely relaxing with multiple jets and a lovely, peaceful vibe in the annexe where it is situated. The Guest House also has a pleasant bar area at the front (which is also the breakfast room), so if you feel like a drink without having to go out, you can do so. The Full English Breakfast was tasty and well presented. We ate in the evening at the local Brewer's Fayre, which is reasonably priced and situated overlooking the sea. All-in-all, a great experience and one I hope I repeat.

Great place, the hospitality was great, the bed was absolutely perfect for a great night's sleep. The location was also great, it was just a five minute stroll away from the harbour where there is several quality bars and restaurants.

What a gem of a place! All needs considered and provided for. I loved that they offer an old duvet cover to put on the bed in case your dog tries to jump on during the night. Perfectly located on the hill between town centre and dog friendly Goodrington sands

Friendly B&B

The owners are lovely and very accommodating. We travelled with our dog and they went out of their way to ensure we were all comfortable. Mij also baked my partner a birthday cake which was delicious! Breakfast was really good also.

We stayed in room 2. It is at the very top of the building and is quite small, with not much space or storage, but we made it work for us. The shower was very slow flowing, however we just got on with it and didn't complain. We did get a text offering a fix if we experienced any issues, however we didn't get this until our last evening.

It was ideal for my purposes, I liked it very much. I'd have been happy to stay longer.

Lovely warm welcome, with an early check in, and in view of wet weather a very kind offer of a lift back to hotel late at night. Superb freshly cooked breakfast. Location ideal for my purposes being just a few minutes walk from the seafront venue hosting the wedding event I was attending. My room was spacious, nicely decorated, well appointed, had a supremely comfortable bed, a lovely sea view, and a collection of pigeons billing and cooing on the roof to wake me serenely! ☺️

A few small suggestions are: Better lighting to apply make up (bathroom mirror light not working, or I couldn't make it work! ). The tassimo machine functioned, after a bit of persistence. Well used by all those happy guests! ☺️ Fresh milk for tea/coffee is provided, but in a fridge at the bottom of the stairwell. I didn't want to go down in my nightdress to get it, so that was a minor disappointment. The bathroom is very spacious, clean and fully functional, but showing signs of wear.

Lovely welcome, and very helpful staff. Kindly provided a bowl and bed for our dog and even a few treats. Room was clean tidy and warn considering the weather during our stay. Breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked. Highly recommended and hope to visit again soon.
