A very clean and well kept environment, with owners who cared about guests experience

Very clean and well kept. Temperature in the bedrooms was perfect, warm on arrival and cool at bedtime promoting optimal sleeping conditions. Very quiet location. Warm welcome from both owners, and it was clearly important to them that our stay was comfortable and we had all we needed. Very good cooked breakfast.

BIG MISTAKE!!...................(should have stayed longer)

single room was just the best, very modern ..it looked like new!. very posh shower and light up mirror over the sink..window facing a garden with tables and seats. breakfast was spot on with a good choice of food to suit all tastes,served at your table. Incidentally the single room status gave you a single table which I think is good. Close to Paignton amenaties and a local beach just down a little walkway..There's a bit of a hill to go down and back up to the hotel if walking but I'm 76 and just took my time...by the 3rd day I was tackling it no problem!!Went to Brixham and Torquay on the bus....Go for a ride on the steam railway..brilliant I had a great time thanks to all the staff and owners who looked after little old me!!

I DIDN'T LIKE...having to leave!!!...wish I could have stayed longer than 4 nights...everything was just perfect

Warm and clean Owners were just lovely and so helpful and kind Beds so comfortable and clean Decor so pretty Views outstanding Dining room clean and pretty Garden lovely Excellent books and dvds free to use if weather bad Nice tv in room good drink choice and kettle Bar downstairs if you need a drink Fabulous breakfast accommodating for my veggie husband Literally perfect !!! Locations great for town and travelling to local areas

Absolutely amazing

The room was absolutely great it was clean and tidy the shower was just the right size and very powerful witch was amazing the breakfast was amazing the staff was so amazing they really did look after me and my dog very well the bed was really comfy and the room was cleaned and new bedding and fresh towels was changed when it needed changing I really enjoyed my stay and I will definitely be booking to stay there again it was that amazing I recommend amber house to anyone

Absolutely lovely!

Amber house was lovely, Mum and I enjoyed our two night stay and will definitely come back. It was clean, quiet and so friendly without being in your face. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the fact there’s a conservatory or garden to sit in. Rooms were clean and had plenty of storage etc. Parking is easy and it’s central, we visited Paignton, Goodrington, Dartmouth, Teignmouth and Brixham and Dawlish on the way. Thank you!

Thankfully, it lived up fully to expectations.

Very good range of choices of good food at breakfast. Location excellent to get out and about by car to sights local and further afield. Good car parking on site. Possible to walk to Paignton and back - slightly uphill walk on return journey. Excellent hosts who were always ready to go the extra mile eg assisting on getting luggage to room.

Room advertised with sea view but oily if you stood on the bed!my room named sky would have a view if some bushes were cut back!On my last morning a couple were served tea in front of my window at 7.30a.m.

Viv and the other staff are the most amazing people. Funny, kind, caring and nothing at all is too much to ask. The breakfast was incredible. Hospitality was honestly out of this world. It felt like a home away from home. Myself and my partner wishes we didn’t have to leave after coming to stay for the air show. They have a honesty bar as well downstairs which was brilliant! An incredible amount of DVDs you can take to watch in your room, books as well. We stayed in Pebble and it was the perfect room for us. I’m trying to find excuses to come back again!

Great location, amazing hosts, good breakfast

Brilliant location, close to the pier but in a quiet area atop a hill with some rooms overlooking the ocean. Great hosts who were extremely accommodating. Breakfast was good too. Bonus is the on premise parking. Love their honesty bar and the garden would be great when it isn't raining.

Wonderful hosts who genuinely care for their guests.

Fantastic hosts who made me feel very welcome & at home. There was an issue with the heating in the room which was dealt with quickly & efficiently. They kindly moved me to a bigger room the next day which was a lovely gesture. The breakfast selection was very extensive & very tasty. There is ample parking & the property is very close to a lovely beach, Goodrington Sands.

We only go where we can take our family which is our dog BEN no need to look any further.

The breakfasts where very good with a very good selection which would suit all guests EVEN A SAUSAGE FOR MY DOG "BEN"great service.well done.

Everything was what we would have expected and better. We will definately be making the the journey many more times. So there was nothing that we disliked.Maybe the weather but not even Mark,Viven, Paul, or Debbie, could change that.

Lovely accommodation, great views, lovely owners

Lovely owners, great room with everything you need & a sea view! Toiletries provided & tea, coffee etc..and free view TV... Great to be able to sit in their lovely garden with a drink from their honesty bar, which provided a great selection of drinks. Free on site parking a great bonus. Plenty of information available about places to visit in the local area.

Nothing the owners can do about this but the area is quite hilly, so a few hills to navigate up & down to get to the harbour. I walked it in less than 10 mins though & easy walk to the beach. Also as there is a car park there's no issue parking when you get back if you take the car..
