It was a most enjoyable stay and great value. We will return.

Breakfast was very good and the staff were very attentive and polite. The evening meal was very good value and there was a wide choice of dishes. We had a large comfortable room with a bay window and sea views.

There was nothing we could find wrong.

Good basic budget hotel.

Good value budget hotel with breakfast which was basic but nice. Staff were helpful and the room was clean. Comfortable bed, which was a bonus! Bathroom was a good size but the shower was tiny! The furnishings were rather dated but we did see evidence of updating going on so presume they were working around the hotel gradually. It was pretty cheap so you get a good basic accommodation.

The shower!! Cubicle built into an alcove and if I say I now know what it feels like to be bricked up in a wall you might get the idea. No room to even bend down properly if I dropped something. The shower head was tiny with very old fixtures that wouldn't stay put and kept slipping down the wall rail. Hopefully this will be a priority for updating in the future!

Disappointing with the hotel, however nice to get away

The location was good , close to pier and pubs and restaurants

The room was not hovered under table , we had a leak in the bathroom from upstairs having showers . When we went in the room all the pictures and mirrors were not straight at all. Breakfast wasn’t worth the money better off going to spoons which is a 5 minute walk away . The hotel needs a lot of work .

Fantastic location and extraordinarily friendly staff. Lovely decor in room. Bar area looked great. Bonus of a working lift.

Recent storms meant a few things had taken a battering, eg flooded car Park, sticky front door. Nothing that I feel would be there normally.

Great hotel to stay. It was our second time there and definitely will book ti stay again in the future.

The location is excellent, hotel is situated on the sea front, walking distance to all attractions and town centre. It noticeable that some room was renovated. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and working very hard to meet guests requirements. Dinner and breakfast was delicious, and there was entertainment on New Year’s Eve, although we went out but it looked like everyone had a great time when we walked by. It looked clean in general throughout hotel facilities.

The room was extremely small, not much space to move around. We had small double bed for 2 people. The mattress was extremely soft that it felt we were slightly rolling down the bed sites. Bathroom was clean but noticed black debris between sliding shower doors.

Clean and tidy hotel great location

Ideal location. Close to the beach front, shops and restaurants very close. Room was clean and tidy.

Neighbours bought dogs in on the 2nd day we were there. Barking became annoying assuming they were left alone as the owners went to breakfast. We were leaving so didn't mention it. Had we been staying another night and it continued it would have been an issue. I didn't realise there were pet friendly hotels as never crossed my mind nor have I stayed in one where people have brought pets along before.

Could hear nearly every floorboard squeaking pretty loud, hot in the room without heating on and headboard shelves too close to the bed with sharp edges, hit my head on it. Garage music playing loudly but didn’t know from what location every early morning

The outside of the hotel needs re painting as it lets the hotel down as from the outside it looks grubby but inside is a absolutely lovely plus if the outside was painted nice it would be the best place in Paignton to stay

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel appeared clean. The entertainment on Saturday evening was good.

The shower head in room 104 needs replacing Breakfast was tasty but the portion was on the small side. A buffet style system for cereals, juice and pastries would be better.

A comfortable hotel stay

Friendly staff at check in and out and in the bar. Hotel room comfortable and clean for our 1 night last minute stay. Parking on site however there are only a few spaces on a first come first serve basis.

Great central location clean and comfortable.

Central location. Was able to leave car so used local buses to various locations giving me a break from driving. The window in our room was locked and spoke to housekeeping and it was resolved when we got back. Comfy bed and duvet. Pillows to soft for out liking. It was nice that we could turn the radiator on as required. Generally the room was quite clean and serviced every morning. Enjoyed our stay very much. Can’t comment on meals as we were visiting family locally.

One of the hand towels in our room was badly stained so left in shower tray it was replaced with another just as bad. Shower was very weak.Decor was quite dated and peeling in places. Communal area seating seems to have lost its support. It felt like you might fall through. The fan in the bathroom needed vacuuming at least every six months to keep it running effectively.

Nice location reception staff very helpful and friendly

Breakfast was a mess none of the staff seemed to know which tables they were waiting . Had to ask multiple times for hot drinks cooked breakfast arrived with no toast asked 2 different people for it which we got 15 minutes after we had finished our food lots of people having the same problem all the tables were left with dirty dishes on and the staff were just walking by it and not clearing it

Room from hell

The distance to the beach.

Hotel very run down. Room poorly cleaned.Half eaten pizza still in room after being so called cleaned !!! Would say bed never moved. Thick with dust. Tv very old. Beds old . Put in room under dining room. The noise of walking started at 6.30 in the morning . So loud . Creaking floorboards and thumping feet overhead. Wall lights didn't work. Only ceiling . Didn't eat there. After seeing room decided to go out to eat . Wouldn't stay again. Would not recommend .
