Made to feel so welcome in such a beautiful guest house.

I am so pleased that I chose this guest house. We were made to feel so welcome. Amelia, the host, is so kind and helpful . The decor is just so beautiful, the beds are so comfy. The full English breakfast was cooked to perfection. You could help yourself to fresh fruit too. The location is in the best part of Paighton as it is opposite a park that leads to the sea. You also have a choice of 2 places to eat right nearby. Paighton has a most lovely steam train, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Sweet spot, convenient and friendly hosts and guests and we would return.

Good welcome and Amelia and Chris did everything to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The weather was perfect and the coast path walking is great. Paignton to Brixham the first day and Brixham to Kingswear the next. Bonus drop in to Coleton Fishacre on the way home the next morning

Lovely location, great hosts, comfortable stay

Our stay at the Wentworth was brilliant - we booked 2 single rooms last minute, and really enjoyed the place and our hosts. The rooms were very clean and cared for, and breakfast was lovely. The location was great - 2 mins from the beach, and a short walk to Paignton.

I was very comfortable in my room, slept well - although it was diddy! Parking was a little tricky, parallel parking on a narrow road, but we didn't struggle to find spots near the guest house.

Amazing, if only all guesthouses/B&B's/hotels were this good!

We stayed at Wentworth Guest House for a 3-day sailing event hosted by Paignton Sailing Club, and it couldn’t have been more perfect — just a 10-minute walk away, so the location was ideal! Amelia and Chris were absolutely wonderful hosts; they went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The rooms were spotless, the beds incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was cooked to perfection every morning. We felt so well looked after. I’ll definitely be staying here again with the family next time we’re in Paignton. Thank you, Amelia and Chris — you made our trip truly memorable!

Air show weekend 2025

We loved everything about the place, amelia greeted us on arrival and showed us our room, the rooms are spotless and clean, the location is perfect and near the beaches, parking is free on street which is a bonus and bang over the road , the breakfast is brilliant and highly recommended, we stayed 3 nites for the airshow and loved every minute of it, we will definitely come back here, jonny and Sarah

A lovely Guesthouse in a fab location with the perfect host.

We stayed in the only room that allows a dog and this is on the ground floor with its own private entrance. It was a lovely room, had lots of space, a comfy bed, good sized on suite and beautifully decorated. The Guesthouse had free on street parking and we loved watching the steam trains go by as the track was very close to the park. The Guesthouse was also opposite Goodrington Park that led down to Goodrington Sands beach. I use a mobility scooter and both the park and seafront were on a flat surfaces making it an ideal place to take our dog for a long walk. The Guesthouse was beautifully decorated with a seaside theme and the dining room was a cosey relaxing place to eat a fantastic breakfast cooked by Amelia everyday. There were plenty of cafes and pubs within the park and along the seafront and we had a fantastic Sunday carvery. A spotless park and seafront due to the fantastic staff who go round picking up any litter and emptying bins throughout the day. They always made a fuss of our dog and were very friendly. We had a fantastic stay and Amelia looked after us and was always smiling and happy to greet us each morning at breakfast. She keeps the property absolutely spotless and can say it was the cleanest place we have stayed in so that is a huge credit to her. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we hope to return again next year.

Perfect Paignton weekend away!

Wentworth guesthouse was an absolute gem. I can’t believe my daughter and I were lucky enough to book here at short notice. It is a very short walk to the seafront and had a sea view from our bedroom. Everything you could think of was taken care of, from the welcome text with clear arrival instructions including WiFi password, to the pre-ordering system for breakfast, the dedicated tables with place names, the honesty snack selection and the cute decor throughout. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable beds and high quality bed linen and towels. We would love to return again soon.

Chris & Amelia very welcoming, felt relaxed immediately. Our room was beautifully decorated, very clean indeed. Bed very comfy & we were provided with lots of tea & coffee. Breakfast was delicious, good portions and lots of choices. Chris & Amelia excellent hosts. Location was great, few steps to goodrington sands and Youngs Park. Perfect weekend away

B&B owners are incredible friendly and helpful. You can tell how much they love the place and are passionate hosts. The B&B is located in a nice part of Paignton, opposite a pretty park, the beach and harbour with very good restaurants all in walking distance. Also close to the coastal path to Brixham which we enjoyed a lot.

Very good

This was my second stay at the Wentworth guest house and an enjoyable one. The two shining lights about this guest house are the friendly owners and the wonderful location. It really matters to the owners Chris and Amelia that their guests have an enjoyable stay. I love the fact that in the dining room they have a stock of soft drinks and chocolate that you can buy. It saves me walking to the shops! I owe £3.20 on my next visit as i couldnt find the honesty box lol.

The mobile phone signal was poor in the room(not the owners fault) and the internet connection was sometimes very slow. Also due to the saniflo system installed in the bathroom i was unable to wash my t-shirt which had an icecream stain on it. Also you cant do things like wash sandy shoes due to the saniflo. None of these things will stop me from staying at the Wentworth again though. The owners are so friendly and helpful and the location is just brilliant so close to Goodrington sands.

Small shower room, difficult shower to use. Room was for twin occupancy but not much space to move around, wash basin in room and not near toilet.

Wow, what a lovely guest house owners Amelia and Chris have. They made me feel so welcoming, so friendly as if I had known them longer than I have. Everything was lovely and they couldn’t do enough for me, very well looked after. I’m already look forward to going back to stay. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks so much both 🙂

A brilliant stay close to one of my favourite beaches.

Room was comfortable with a TV and an arm chair. The room temperature could be controlled by the guest 24/7. The view from the room was over the park and was quiet. The breakfast was good, with a choice. The cooked breakfast was grilled ... not greasy with a variety of foods, plus cereal, fruit juices, coffee and tea and fruit and toast. The position of the accomodation is excellent with just a short 2 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to Paignton town, bus station and rail station.
