A fantastic place to stay

We pulled up on the car park 2 hours earlier than planned phoned Torland to see if we could leave the car there while we explore he happily said I will come and see if your room is ready. It was so he let us happily unpack. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff . He said if we wanted takeaways we could use the restaurant to eat it in comfort when we took him up on the offer he was grateful and smiled. We told him we would be leaving early next morning and he said help yourself to cake, fruit ,drinks for our journey. Lovely people and a fantastic owner. Thank you see you next year

Perfect

It was cosy. Had a great 3 night sleeps there. Rooms were cosy and warm. With a good tv to chill to in the evening. The hotel was simply and had a home kind of feel. The staff were all so accommodating, kind and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely. Wasn’t fried or greasy so made a great start to each day without that heavy feeling and had good options if you didn’t fancy a full English. We came for my partner’s birthday and it did not disappoint. If you want a homely hotel with a cosy non pretentious overly fancy feel this is the one. Loved it ! Also bonus it’s a stones throw from the beach!!!

Parking was a bit awkward at times but the staff do all they can to make it easier

Fabulous hotel

Lovely place staff were amazing .Rooms cleaned daily and tea and coffee replenished mini fridge in room to store cold drinks. Great location 100 yards from beach.We will definitely be staying again .

Good comfortable rooms

The room was clean and comfortable. And had good parking, close to the front

The breakfast wasn't great, One egg was perfect,.nice runny yolk while the other egg was over. Bacon and sausage not great quality. Mushrooms were old as they were all wrinkled. Once we had been served, the waitress just left us and didn't come back over to check if we were ok or needed anything else.

Very pleasant comfortable stay would recommend and stay again

Host and staff very welcoming helpful and polite. Great location convenient for beach town centre and train station. Hotel and room very clean facilities good ie en-suite and condiments for drinks. Plenty of clothes storage and big flatscreen tv plus good internet.

Shower area though very good is a little small and if I am to nit pick the stair well needs a little tlc. A little noisy at night with boy racers down the beach front. But that’s not the hotels fault.

Very enjoyable .. did a couple of boat trips .. weather was good so bonus ..

The hotel was very clean ..the room was spacious with access to the outdoor terrace.. the breakfast was filling with added bonus of various fruits to choose from ..overall an extremely enjoyable break.. it was also a two minute walk from the seafront and a five minute walk from the town centre which had a wide variety of shops ..

Not the fault of the hotel but the roadworks outside the hotel weren’t brilliant .. started early in the morning .. better than an alarm 🙂🙂

Would have liked a full sized mirror in our room, maybe one could be put on the back of the wardrobe door. Also would have preffered easy access to iron, ironing board and milk. Didn't like to keep asking. All minor problems that wouldn't stop me from returning.

Location, room was OK.

We pre order breakfast on arrival, if you wish to change anything you had to ask a day in advance. Sat down to eat cereals and everyday whilst still eating them they brought out the hot breakfast, not ideal. Only one knife on place setting expected use this for hot breakfast then for toast and jams, not great when baked beans stuck on knife. The kettle in the room hardly fitted under the sink taps so struggled using the kettle. No plug at one side of the bed. Over 5 days only saw owners once on arrival.

A wonderful, relaxing break.

We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect. The breakfast was lovely, and my food intolerances were very well catered for. We had a full belly every morning. Our room was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed, including a sea view. We would definitely return.

Easy check in and friendly host. The room was very clean and we both slept well. Good breakfast with yogurt and fruit extra if you need it. Excellent location very near to the sea front and local facilities.

a fantastic little gem of a hotel

we arrived at the Torland Hotel everything was lovely the room was spotlessly clean large sized room with an en suite the bed was very comfortable lovely white sheets and towels Evan a mini fridge in the room .we had a lovely see view. the breakfast was very good delicious plenty to eat with a good choice the owners of the hotel were lovely people yes I would definitely stay there again thank you torland hotel

Excellent hotel, highly recommend

The room was lovely and comfortable. Excellent staff, very friendly and polite. The value for this quality of hotel was great. The breakfast was nice. The location was great - being on the seafront it's a very short walk from the beach and pier. It's also very close to the high street and station. Overall, a perfect experience for my trip. I couldn't praise the place any higher!

I genuinely can't find a fault in this hotel without nitpicking and picking out minor things - such as the bathroom door being a tad stiff. It would feel wrong to critique the place for something small when it delivered exactly what I hoped and more with the value and location. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Paignton in the future.
