Lovely stay, comfortable bed and good food, would definitely come back to stay in the summer.

It was right on the seafront and we had a free upgrade to the Mercure so we were very happy.

You couldn’t turn the thermostat down below 19 so it was a little too hot in the room at night. I’m a dog lover but there was a lot of dogs in the restaurant for breakfast on Saturday. I felt the dogs seating area should be further away from the food.

Absolutely amazing need to book for a nice easy stay

As a person who goes around the uk professionally reviewing hotels I can happily say this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at not just the hotel but the area the room very big very nice and fancy and they do a free upgrade I would recommend this hotel a lot especially for a week stay price very well definitely worth the money the staff was quick and hassle free checked in all I did was give my name number and address and I was in checking out handed my key cards and out then I was out very speedy system but overall really good

There was almost nothing I dint like maybe the shower getting everything wet as the shower has a little flaw to it as the glass is not wide enough so it ends up getting the bathroom soaked on the floor but other then that it’s honestly so good so the one flaw I saw there’s was like 20 wins to go against that flaw

We were upgraded to the sister hotel Mercure next door. On site parking, very clean, lovely decor, lovely room with tea coffee and bottle of water and biscuits. Spacious bathroom and big shower. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location

Pleasant and comfortable

We were move to the Mercure on arrival , which was a pleasant surprise. We have stayed at the ibis many times before. The reception and lobby/ lounge areas are very comfortable and staff friendly. Some minor confusion with our room, but swiftly resolved. Room itself very similar to the Ibis, with welcome water and refreshments. Beds are extremely comfortable!! We hadn’t booked breakfast as a late minute booking, and usually done our own thing. Looked an easier experience than the ibis which we have found rather busy in the past.

Sorry wouldn’t stay again but I don’t normally stay in budget hotels

Location was good, price was expensive for budget facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful Honest housekeeper found my phone

Budget soap irritated my skin No restaurant you have to leave the property for breakfast Spa facilities were not offered at anytime during our stay. Privilege room was tiny the sheers were marked and stained linen and towels were poor quality Carpets and walls were stained or marked Parking is an additional 15£ daily or 60£ fine!!!

Overall it was a good but there were some minor niggles.

Breakfast was ok, with enough choice of food. Plenty of coffee available on Boxing Day and days after.

Breakfast was provided at the Mercure hotel next door so had to go outside into the cold wind. On Christmas day, when there were very few staff on, there were issues with the supply of cups and maintenance of the coffee machine.

Friendly and attentive staff and comfortable beds, cozy room and beautiful view , it was lovely that the staff member Lauren remembered us , we will definitely be regulars!

The restaurant has no vegan meals but the staff were kind enough to let us know we can ask for something to be made

The cleanliness and location of the hotel were perfect. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. They didn't make me feel it was a chain/corporate hotel.

Peaceful, comfy and fun

Location superb and very friendly staff. Rooms were super clean and comfy and the hotel was quiet

Unfortunately the kitchens were having a makeover so we had to go next-door to the sister hotel for breakfast on day one. Not a good experience, not enough staff or seating. Had to clear our own table and clean off. Staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed and it was unorganised, however, the next morning it was as if the army had been brought in and it was a totally different experience!

Lovely room, friendly staff, comfy bed good night's sleep, we had breakfast in the sister hotel the mercure and it was very tasty. Full English and continental on offer. Will definitely stay again .

Pleasantly surprised by the standard of accommodation for a 3 * hotel.

Not happy at all if it wasn’t the fact I pay for the hotel we would have left and gone to a B&B in the town

Where it was as a location

Well there was no where comfortable to sit in the bar area. The staff needed to be trained in basic hospitality bar staff can’t change a barrel had to wait for a member of staff from the other hotel to do it very poor The breakfast on the first day I couldn’t believe that someone had to go to the other hotel to get it because there was no chef very poor

Disappointing

We’ve stayed here a few times. Works for us as dog friendly.

Didn’t get any fresh towels for a two night stay. Coffee, tea nor milk was replaced either. Problem with Air Con reported to reception couldn’t help. Also tried booking breakfast early Saturday morning for that morning. Was unable to do so. Got told we could then we couldn’t ect ect. So no breakfast Saturday morning but did receive a glass of milk for room however with no coffee/ tea difficult for a brew. Receptionist couldn’t help. Disappointing especially with no tea, coffee & milk not replaced.

Rubbish

Clean lovely views out of the window

Breakfast - broken toaster, broken coffee machine. Not much choice of cereal only had powdered scrambled egg tinned mushrooms. No tomatoes no choice of type of egg fried,poached. No fruit salad. Some Staff weren’t very friendly. Cost me £23 for 2 glasses of wine! Lack of staff on an evening. There weren’t any hooks in the room to hang our coats.
