Washington Central Hotel

I thought the price was excellent for what we got.

Rooms were a little bit outdated.

The staff were very helpful. It would have been better if I had managed to get a room in the hotel, not the annexe.

I had trouble getting into and out of the annexe building.

I've stayed here multiple times. The rooms are comfortable and the breakast/food generally is always very good. Pool facilities are a bonus.

I had no hot water from the shower. The hotel is just a bit tired in terms of decor especially bar/restaurant area - but the food & service were excellent!

Hardworking and friendly staff - the staff clearly work very hard, and we found them to be exceptionally friendly and welcoming, particularly during breakfast Pool access - we greatly appreciated the flexible opening times and easy access to the swimming pool facilities Comfortable room - our suite was spacious, and the beds were comfortable Restaurant - we were pleased to find that the restaurant accepted bookings until 8:45pm. The food and drinks were very enjoyable Breakfast - the breakfast selection was good and staff worked hard to accommodate everyone

Inadequate parking - lack of parking was a major disappointment. Several other guests were also complaining about this during our stay. We arrived after 6pm, so found street parking a few minutes away, but this left us feeling uneasy about our vehicle's security all night Unpleasant odours - there was an unpleasant smell in the corridors near our room reminiscent of cigarette smoke and a dirty mop, which fortunately could not be smelt in our actual room Dated bathroom - the bathroom is in need of a refresh. The grout requires attention, the soap dispensers need to be deep cleaned or replaced, and the outdated shower curtains should be upgraded to modern glass screens Room amenities - the kettle is an old plastic model that takes an excessive amount of time to boil. Furthermore, while a cafetière was provided, there was no coffee to use with it, and no complimentary drinking water was supplied Pool towels - despite the pool area not being particularly busy, the hotel ran out of towels for swimming guests
